I couldn't agree more, and wish that Levitre was still on this football team. That said, Spiller is what he is. He's a very fast runner with very small strides. He has great moves but cannot see holes at times, and this is what stops him from being great. I cannot understand why they keep using him up the middle for gains of 2, yet they do it constantly. Btw, imo if they activate Bryce Brown, we are going to be happy but hey.....I could be wrong.

1) I want to sing big time praises to Aaron Williams. Not only were his numbers good (9 tackles/5 assists), but he gave everything he had. He sacrificed his body on a tackle late in the 2nd quarter and came back. Kudos to you Mr. Williams. 2) If Spiller could see a hole ala Thurman, he would be an all time great. I mean this. There was a play in the 2nd quarter where he had a decent gain on a reception and he went the wrong way. With good vision, he could have been gone for a TD. 3) The second quarter was awful, no? EJ missed Watkins who was wide open and might have gone in for a TD. More to come on EJ..... 4) Dareus played his ass off today, better than anyone else on the DL. I loved his pursuit, and he never looked gassed, despite the defense being on the short end of Time of Possession once again. 5) Nobody on the OL played well today. That's right, nobody, including Cordy Glenn. Pears was particularly awful from what I could see (along with Wood), but having said that, EJ took WAY too much time to make decisions. 6) Shaking in the garden, the fear within you grows. Here there may be roses, to punch you in the nose. Twist their arms around you, slap you till you cry, Wrap you in their sweet perfume and love you till you die, When push comes to shove, you're afraid of love. 7) I can't say enough good things about Fred Jackson. The 3rd quarter TD pass was a sight to behold (as were his stiff arms throughout the football game), and btw, Watkins threw a really nice block on that TD. 8) Hey, was I seeing things? Did Gilmore get a facemask penalty AND get injured on the same play? Seriously, he was a liability today vs. the pass and even the run. At one point I was hoping they would take him out. It is way, WAY more important for the Buffalo Bills to win football games than it is to pretend that Gilmore is good, let alone a "shutdown corner," which is laughable. 9) I am not going to say that Mario provided much pass pressure because he did not. But, he did very well against the run. 10) The bottom line is that EJ sucked today. He waited to long to throw, AND to take off and run. 11) Am I the only one who is sick of these plays where the Bills gain yards and come up a yard or so short of a first down? SOB, that happens WAY too often and pises me off!!!!! 12) EJ goes down just a bit too easy for someone his size, especially on running plays. 13) 11 penalties for 101 yds, is totally unacceptable. 14) This post is not about throwing in the towel. I don't throw in f%#(&^g towels, but this was a very poor outing and we need to get WAY better in order to compete. 15) GO BILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's next to impossible. As much as Bills Fans have suffered, we have seen the team get Jason Peters for nothing, and now Henderson in round 7. And keep in mind, if any GM knew how well Cordy Glenn would play he would have been a top 5 draft selection. We lucked out there too, big time. EJ is still learning, but he really has a ton of tools. Make no mistake, life for him would be a lot worse without these 2 monster OTs. But as you seem to be, I too am nervous. I cannot imagine just how crazy GMs thought Henderson was for him to last until round 7. I was keying on him for much of the game and the kid is VERY, VERY good. I can't wait to watch Henderson and DJ Fluker on Sunday. Fluker is a flat out monster, SO good that he was drafted at #11 to play RT specifically. It will be lots of fun to compare the two. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate the term "smart player" for several reasons I won't get into, but KW really knows what he is doing out there. Dareus had two blockers on him when Kyle made the sack. It looked like he knew exactly where to go. There was a poster here years ago (AKC) who constantly emphasized the importance of the DT position. Not only was he correct, I think that with the rule changes the position has grown in importance. QBs and WRs get all the calls. Pressure has to come from the middle now to upset the play. I hope that the Bills continue to be strong at DT now and in the future.

1) Call me a broken record. I have been called worse. The thing is Da'Norris Searcy can play football. If I was a GM, he would be on my football team. Limitations? Sure, but the man makes PLAYS. 2) Chandler is a strange player. Isn't he hard to really grade? His catch today (the play that was over turned) was flat out tremendous. He also caught a key first down. 3) You see, there are no stats to confirm this, but Seantral Henderson played about as good as a Right OT is capable of playing. 4) There is much to say about Watkins. People, he was COLLEGE open!!! He truly was. On many plays there was nobody near him. EJ missed him for a TD, but I will get to that, and more on Watkins. 5) Those who have read my posts know that I want players, especially high draft selections, to take over a football game and win it. Well, CJ Spiller did just this today and I am here to say it. Hats off to John C. Let's hope he can continue to do this. 6) Corey Graham is just so good. OMG does this man make play after play!!! 7) Wake up to find out that YOU are the eyes of the world. The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts, of its own. Wake now discover that you are the song that the morning brings. The heart has its seasons, its evenings and song.....of its own. 8) Watkins? He was just sick today. This kid was "college open" in the NFL today. It's important that we as fans understand this. The guy was alone on pattern after pattern. It was just SO impressive. Seriously, this is the NFL. The kid was by himself on numerous plays. This imo is just so rare. 9) Anthony Dixon is another player who can win a team football games. 10) Nigel Bradham played to his preseason form. He is a tough guy, and btw so is Preston Brown. 11) Congrats to all who were at the TBD home opener. I was there in spirit and thinking of you. 12) EJ was OK today, but I'm not going to go too crazy. Again, I cannot stress just how open Watkins was. He almost had a couple of picks, and I wish that he would have run more often, but that's not his fault. 13) Gilmore continues to be a concern. Sorry, but it's true. 14) Mario didn't show up huge on the stat sheet, but he is flat out great. Yes.....great. 15) OMG I'm sorry to be trite. I've spent a lifetime trying not to be. But in a weird way, after all we have been through, Bills Fans ARE the "eyes of the world." 16) Congrats my friends and fellow fans. 17) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Adrian Peterson indicted in child injury case

I tend to agree. Society needs to send a message that it's an OK thing to beat 4 year olds until they bleed, to include their "nuts" Gotcha. -

Adrian Peterson indicted in child injury case

During slavery, parents had to be very stern with their children because if they revolted, they could be killed or sold by slave owners. This sickening, ugly period of American history caused untold damage to several generations. I don't think that any sane person could deny this. That said, let's fast forward to AP, shall we? http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/minnesota-vikings/adrian-peterson/ You do the math. Peterson has mega millions of dollars. His children are safe, except of course from predators such as him. He could afford any therapist in the USA if he thought the child had a problem. Instead, he grabbed a weapon and proceeded to beat and yes, torture him. AP does not deserve any justification or sympathy. I think I might be through with this topic. -

Thanks, and check this out.....https://twitter.com/getnickwright/status/510555310679805952 Nice, huh? Sorry Honey but by the way, while I was beating him and taking skin off of his body, I accidently hit him in the "nuts." -
Adrian Peterson indicted in child injury case

Tom, in NY this is a felony (Assault 2) if there is a visible physical injury because the "switch" is a weapon. In NY objects are seen as weapons. I wasn't there and I don't know what happened, nor why the mother deemed fit to seek medical attention for her child. That said, please keep in mind that AP is a professional football player. I say this in terms of his strength. I hope that the child isn't seriously injured. Let me add that if you personally did this in NY, you would be in a world of chit. When AP got jammed up in a bar, Jim Miller was on Sirius blaming "over-zealous off duty cops." My guess is that AP is just another pampered scumbag. If that kid is injured, I hope that he does lots of jail time. This case does strike a nerve with me. I have seen things in my life that human eyes were not meant to see, but there is nothing worse than child abuse. Nothing. -
Joe B's Upon Further Review: Bills at Bears
Bill from NYC replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is some truth above, but the explanation is too simplistic. My take is that because of the rule changes, teams will actually play 4 or 5 wide at times. Who is the best corner in the league? Revis? OK, but he can only cover 1 receiver at a time. In the old days, Mel Blount would neutralize 50% of the opposing team's wide receivers. Times have changed. And of course, these penalties are getting insane as well. Still, having a good secondary is a vital part of team balance. Corners will never be unimportant. That said, if our pass rush can pressure and sack Tanneyhill, the Bills can win. If not, receivers will get open. Keep your eye on KW and Dareus. If they get pressure up the middle, the dolphins are in big trouble. And they can go for it because Spikes will be there to counter a draw play. In summary, it's true. If I was building a defense I would concentrate heavily on, and allocate more resources toward pass rush than the secondary. Do you disagree? -
Absolutely! It would not surprise me at all if Rice dropped 50 or 100 Gs. Now, add in some substance (lots of it) and you have yourself a mess. Think about it, here is a physical specimen with millions of dollars in a hotel with a very hot young lady who at least appears to like him. Sounds like a dream come true, no? So instead of being in a luxury hotel suite with this beautiful woman, he is downstairs dropping wads of cash and getting stoned. And she had every right to object; they were engaged. That said, Rice is a criminal. He is violent and has no impulse control. That punch could have easily killed a strong adult male, let alone a woman. He deserves what he gets and my guess is that he will soon be a destitute criminal in lieu of a rich one. I do however feel a bit sorry for Goodell. He has been placed in the role of a cop and a prosecutor, but imo he is neither. He's a CEO of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate. If this was my case, I'm not sure how happy I would be to turn tape over to a private enterprise, so I really don't know if he had this tape or not. Either way, I am not calling for him to resign or be fired.

How will Henderson hold up this week against Wake?
Bill from NYC replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FIC for what it's worth, when the Giants drafted JPP I thought that he would bust out. As I recall he is from Haiti and had little real football background. Wow, was he good initially. Since then, I view him as light in the ass and hurt. That said, imro Henderson should really take it to Wake, who is also not so big. If he can push him away, the Bills will be able to gain lots rushing yards on his side. Personally, I would love to see Bryce Brown running that way but I don't know what's up with that. -
1) I liked what I saw of Watkins. This means something people. He is a freaking baby, but his skillset did shine through this week. Even a doubter like me can be happy. 2) You see, more than one player can win one single game for a football team. You tend to not want it to be either kicker, right? But Carpenter and Gay really were major contributors to this victory. This is beyond dispute. 3) Did you see the TD run by EJ? I cannot tell you how happy I was. The kid needs to RUN!!! He is NOT a pocket QB. If used and coached properly, maybe he can win us football games. How cool is that???!!! 4) Spiller drives me nuts. Seriously. His TD in the 2nd qtr. was perfectly executed. A fantastic play no doubt. Then, with 47 seconds left before the half he went out of bounds. It didn't cost the Bills anything, but I had a near heart attack. You just CANNOT do chit like that again and again. 5) Who can stop what must arrive now? Something new is waiting, to be born. Dark as the night, You're still by my side, Shining side. Gone are the days, we stopped to decide, Where we should go, We just ride. Gone are the broken eyes we saw through in dreams, Gone both, dream and lie...... 6) How great was that run by Fred Jackson? It was almost like story book stuff, ya know? He deserved that play as much as we did. Just so freaking cool!!! 7) Mike Williams made as good a catch as one would ever hope to see. Seriously, if he can keep himself together, he will be literally great. 8) Sorry, I was unimpressed by the Guard play on either side. How about you? Did you like what you saw from Chris Williams in particular? I did not. Not at all. 9) How many of you missed Gilmore? I am curious. Corey Graham looked pretty damned good from where I sat. 10) I am serious, I think that Mario hit Cutler SOOOO hard on that sack that it changed the game. For those of you who are unsure, Mario Williams is the best player on our football team. 11) My friends, we have a shot!!! We do. I know as well as any Bills Fan that these moments are fleeting, but we look good right now. And we look like we can improve. 12) McKelvin had a rough outing. I hope he improves. 13) The thing about Woods that stuck out was how hungry he looked. This kid can really play football. 14) I am just SO happy for us as fans. Right this second, hope does prevail. It feels good and my best wishes go out to my fellow Bills Fans. Nobody is as loyal as us. NOBODY! 15) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you most looking forward to this year?
Bill from NYC replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This post made me LOL!!!!! I know you are serious, but if one reads it again, it does sum things up for many a fan. Only the Bills could take an " really upbeat" football fanatic and make him frightened that the season is about to begin. :) This board is so freaking funny, and we truly are the best fans out there. As for me, I can't wait to see how Henderson plays. He might be a true steal ala Jason Peters, which is all but impossible. That said, Pears is NOT a guard imo. I am also hoping that EJ runs the football himself, and I'm glad to see Spiller return kicks. I also will keep my eye on Bryce Brown who looks VERY good imo. GO BILLS!!!!! -
