  1. Me too BBF. I hated the trade at the time but I no longer do, not that I love it mind you. My opinion? The kid is a super talent and the lack of production is probably due to injuries. I am guessing that he was acting as mostly a decoy vs. the Colts. I cannot think of another reason not to use someone with his obvious talent, can you?
  2. I envy any fan who was able to sit there thinking that the game was over at 24-8. I would have been furious if they blew that lead. Shocked? Sorry, no. But I am thinking that things are getting a lot better.
  3. ^ This. On Sunday in the late 3rd quarter, my girlfriend was cheering and telling me that 'the game was over." I looked at her as if she was insane. Listen, we have not made the playoffs in 15 years. What are we supposed to do? Come here and write about how good everything has been? If everybody posted starry eyed things and blasted each and every critical article (or yes, post) written about us, would this site be interesting? I for one think not. BADOL is correct. This team is stacked with talented players. We just beat a good team with a great quarterback, this without Dareus, and no numbers from Watkins or even Mario! We now have a chance to be good and even make the playoffs. When and if this happens, the mindset here will change. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I hear ya!!! Look at what happened to the Giants last night, and even to Pete Carroll in the super bowl. Running out the clock might not look glorious, but the idea is to WIN football games. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I think that the secondary caught some breaks because Luck had to get the ball away earlier than he would have liked to, especially on the play where nobody blocked Mario. Luck is a great qb. He will dominate this season. And we beat him!!!!!!!!! :)
  6. Thanks LGOTB! I have been saving that particular lyric. I had it ready as of last night. Yes, I have issues. I really hope that the Bills do not rest on their laurels and leave that to us, their loyal fanatical fans. They actually CAN improve and I hope they do, enough to smash Brady into defeat!!!!!
  7. 1) Big time props to Preston Brown. Did you see that pass defense with 1 minute left in the 3rd quarter? This from a player who is thought of as primarily a run defender. The Colts had to waste a timeout after the play. This matters, and count me in as a huge fan of this kid. 2) Big time shout out to our kickers and special teams. They made a difference in a huge way. Carpenter came through despite the concerns. Dontcha love it?! 3) I dedicate this post and this game to the Bills Fan who took his own life at RWS last night. I wish he could have seen this, and pray that he did. 4) Gilmore played the best game of his career imo. He was all over his man and was able to get his hand in numerous times. It was just freaking great to see. 5) The OL needs to improve. Glenn had 2 holds and I wanted to see bigger holes on running plays. 6) Let's focus on Tyrod for a moment. This kid, in his first NFL start, took over the game, and he did so against ANDREW LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! He was poised, smart, and accurate. Call me insane, but I think that my favorite play was the one where he was calm enough to bat down the deflected pass. A mistake could have cost us a touchdown and yes, the game. Wait until he REALLY takes off and runs! His potential has few limits. 7) Goddamn, well I declare, Have you seen the like? Their walls are built of cannonballs, their motto is Don't Tread on Me!!!!!! Come... hear, Uncle John's Band, by the riverside. Got some things to talk about, here, beside the rising tide. 8) Neither Corbin Bryant nor Kyle Williams showed up that much in the stats today. That said, they both did their jobs!!!!! Kyle provided pressure and looked fresh. Bryant moved well and was in on quite a few tackles. When Marcel comes back, this is going to be fun to watch! 9) Nickell Robey is a winner. Period. 10) Percy Harvin is a mismatch with two legs. If he can keep his head on straight, he can win us football games. 11) Sack totals notwithstanding, I am 100% thrilled that Rex blitzed all day. It took pressure off the secondary and enabled them to make plays. 12) Are we still worried about Darby? This was probably one of the best games ever played by a rookie corner in his first game in the post rule change era. 13) I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot of Karlos Williams. We need someone to compliment McCoy with that downhill style. 14) I'm proud to be a member of this community. We truly do deserve days like this. 15) GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. 34-13 Bills 100+ yds. rushing for TT. A pick six from Gilmore seals the game.
  9. I agree RH. I can't get too giddy about a GM who tried hard to re-sign Byrd and Spiller. I don't hate the trade for Watkins any more but it's not a done deal yet. He is in a great situation. He's got a very rich owner and a rabid, LOYAL fanbase. I WANT to like Whaley and think that doing so is a strong possibility. He is somewhat new at this and has room to grow, learn and improve. I have not been optimistic about a given season in a very long time. Now, I am biting at the bit for kickoff, and predict a win. Whaley deserves some credit for this. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!34-13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Please don't take offense, but I'm wondering whether or not we both have issues. :)
  11. Badol, if the Bills are in the SB I don't know what I would do. I will either dip into my pockets and host a LAVISH party, go to WNY and watch the game, or watch it in complete solitude. That's messed up, no?
  12. Rubes, it is not impossible for TT to actually change the way the game is played. Sounds crazy, no? Look, we are Bills fans. He might also tank but I sense that he will not. He has been called by experts the fastest qb in the league. From the little I have seen of him, I can clearly tell that he can see openings to run through. If he can be a GOOD (not great) passer he is going to be VERY tough to defend, especially given the weapons at his disposal. Coaching of course will matter big time. In essence, what I am saying is that in my very humble opinion, the Bills are about to introduce a different style of offensive football to the NFL. And I am ready my friend! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. It must be. You graciously took the time to explain it to me long ago, and frankly I didn't understand and still do not. It's hard to understand how a place with that much splendor could become a cesspool. One would think that there would be tons of money to be made. Then again, there is plenty of riverside property in Camden, NJ.
  14. Does this apply to EJ?
  15. I tend to agree with this. None of us know how much damage TT can do if the Colts decide to gang up on the LOS, but we are about to find out. I for one think that the addition of Clay will help. Solid TEs are a young quarterback's best friends. I also think that if TT can find just some success with the wrs, he will run for over 100 yards. On Sirius, he is already being called the fastest qb in the NFL. Faster than Vick or Kaep. Consider this for a minute if you will. The 21 yard TD run in preseason was spellbinding. Seriously. He got through the hole in an instant. Ultimately, the defense needs to step up. They will need sacks and constant pressure. I am not so worried about the Colts running on us, but we shall see. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. 11-18/231 yds. - 1 td - 0 int. - 1 fumble 8 carries/105 yds. - 1 td - 2 2 point conversions 34-13 Bills
  17. Very true BFFE, but this is not enough to pull the trigger imo. I would want at least a 3rd. And the truth is that the above doesn't say much for EJ.
  18. I never played fantasy but I predict that TT will rush for over 100 yds. on Sunday. Yeah, I said that.....more than 100 yds.
  19. What kind of value do you think he could bring?
  20. If you look at him on you tube, EJ was a very good runner in college. In regular season games he looked (imo) clumsy and lumbering, and it's hard to understand why.
  21. Searcy. Not a super talent but he made big plays.
  22. Great post Dibs. I admittedly hated the trade and think that my reasons did have some merit. The draft was said to be loaded with receivers, we did not have anyone who even resembled a good quarterback, and we had major holes in the OL. I do NOT hate the trade now, but it's a bit early for me to say that I like it. The 2015 first round pick might have really helped us. I guess we will never know. Also, if Sammy gets hurt bad, there goes 2 first round picks (and a 4th) down the drain. Sammy does show potential to be great. If he wins us some games he will have been well worth the huge hit we took in order to obtain him. Time will tell.
  23. Good point. So as it turns out the trade didn't cost anything.
  24. Why does this thread exist? What difference does it make if TG is full of crap? Is there really a need to play Sir Walter Raleigh? Should we put our cloaks across a puddle for Whaley to cross? Is he a damsel in distress? I look at Whaley and see an aggressive GM. He used 2 number 1 draft choices on a receiver and signed a running qb who is now the starter. This may or may not work. Meanwhile, he has earned millions of dollars. As far as I'm concerned he can fend for himself. If the Bills lose he will be canned. If they win, who's better than him? Was this a "rogue" move? Maybe, maybe not. What I can tell you is that if you go to divorce court tomorrow and lose a half a million dollars, Whaley won't be bursting into the court room defending your honor. End of rant.
