  1. It truly is a never ending, ugly, boring onslaught.
  2. He was a draft pick (#4). Walker signed a 25 million dollar contract to play RT and he flat out sucked. He couldn't move and was almost as bad as Derrick Dockery was at guard. Then, they traded Jason Peters and actually put Walker at LT, and things got that much worse. Things were really, really bad in those days. My fear is that it will look like this again if the Bills don't fire Ryan and company sooner than later.
  3. Thank you for all of these updates. Seriously.
  4. Langston Walker was flat out awful from day 1. The man could barely move.
  5. Good post! Mario was (I think still is) a great player. I do think that the signing of Bryce Paup was at least equal to signing Mario, but I am just splitting hairs.
  6. At his salary Mario was worthless in a trade. It was however painful to watch Rex destroy Mario's season and turn a very good defense into an undisciplined disgrace.
  7. I don't agree with parts of this post but agree with the theme. For quarterbacks, the transition is big. Dak Prescott is a huge, talented player, but will his game translate to a pro career? College football tends to not prepare QBs for the pros these days. EJ? Best left for another thread.
  8. I don't see how you can arrive at this conclusion, unless you also think that Willie Mays should have been used as a pitcher.
  9. Sure. Every team Fitz goes to does nothing but win, right? Wow! Would you please refresh my memory? Did you choose your screen name because you were just so moved after JP Losman called some young kid "Big Cat" during some sort of function? As I recall, you were a big proponent of his, telling us over and over how great he was just like you do now with Rex. If not, please accept my apology. If so, it's ok. I thought Rob Johnson would be an excellent quarterback. Everyone who is willing to stick their neck makes wrong predictions. Good luck with your Pro-Rex crusade.
  10. Yep. It is up on the NFL channel. Rex being here is like a recurring nightmare. They got Darby in round 2. You don't HAVE to squander first round picks on the secondary. If you think that Gilmore is worth 12 or 13 million per season. I respectfully disagree.
  11. I don't know if Gilmore would or would not get us a first round pick in a trade. That said, I for one would rather see the Bills get a first for Gilmore than see him signed to a huge guaranteed contract that would hurt us badly in terms of cap space. This of course is jmo. At this point, it may be in the Bills interest to concentrate on offense. They need blockers and another receiver, but there IS talent there. The defense will probably suck under any conditions as long as Rex is running it, and he probably has little say on the offensive side, so their best hope to win might be as an offensive juggernaut. The above is surely not my favorite brand of football but with Rex as coach, options and chances are surely limited.
  12. Impossible to fathom? He proved last season that he could not coach THIS defense. He took away their pass rush, aggression, and discipline. Sacks were down more than 60%. Penalties were through the roof, no? So what did Whaley and Brandon do? They let him hire his brother who nobody else wanted. What a mess.
  13. Dave, am I alone in thinking that this article is absolute, beyond a doubt proof that the 3 people calling the shots for this team (Brandon, Whaley and Rex) are incompetent? They invested hundreds of millions in the defense, the DL specifically, and now we are supposed to be glad that the ever so pedestrian Manny Lawson is the most important cog in this defense, while our line runs out in coverage or just stands still and jumps around? Really? Is that how things work? Sure, let's all count on greatness from Manny Lawson, as if things were not bleak enough. Mr. Pegula needs to dump all 3 of these sub-par managers that are hurting this team and of course the fans.
  14. Have a great day!!!
  15. It almost doesn't matter Tom. He is probably going to get jammed up again, ESPECIALLY if he gets away with this. I would put money on it. Did Cromartie and Travis Henry stop having kids with 10 women? Did Johnny Manziel stop drinking and getting in trouble? We both know that people truly are capable of change, but I see that McCoy continues to bring attention to himself, and this is usually a not so great thing for athletes (and btw it isn't such a good idea for cops).
  16. The above is an amazing quote. You have several hundred posts in an apparent attempt to convince many, many others (who have eyes, let alone a right to their opinions) that Rex is a good coach. Now, who really is "burning calories?" I like differing opinions (even yours), but I get the feeling that you are not like this. Perhaps you should open your own board and post how great Rex is and what good job he did, and how wonderful and deserving his exalted, highly sought after brother is. Then you can answer yourself in full agreement and not have to exhaust so much time with those who dare to disagree with your all knowing prattle.
  17. I wonder how/why the Crimson Tide won the title only having 2 players in the top 40, with the top one rated at 30. Ya know what I mean?
  18. Embassy Suites. Join the Hilton Honors club. You almost always get double points and they don't expire.
  19. Sorry GB, I gotta disagree here. I think that Rex is in the act of destroying this defense. The job is probably all but complete and the new DC, Brother Love, will help finish them off. The offense does however show promise. I for one am fond of Tyrod. I think that he represents the future on the Bills and in this league. This of course is jmo. Give him two better blockers and a better #2 receiver and that would be a pretty sick unit. Another RB would be a good idea for insurance in case our little criminal goes up the river (which I doubt), but RBs are easy to find. Overall, I guess I am trying to say that building the offense is our best hope. This is not my favorite brand of football mind you but again, I think that Rex has done WAY too much harm to the D and it's likely (imo) to get worse.
  20. The RT position is rapidly growing in importance. Props to Kelly the Dog for predicting it would many years ago. Pass rushers line up all over the place now, and you can't put a stiff (like we do) at the RT position. Last year we actually had Kujo and that rookie lined up at the same time. A strong RT would REALLY help this team, as would improvement at RG.
  21. How many dbs did Rex draft first with the Jets, let alone the money allocated to UFA dbs, and how did it all work out? I hope I am wrong but I have seen the Bills go this way time and again, no?
  22. I agree with the theme of this post, but I would not say that Glenn is an "elite" LT, and I am surprised to see that you do. That said, how would the Bills replace him? As we all know, LTs are scooped up early in the draft and we pick 19th. Not only that, our situation at RT is bleak, and I'm being kind. The hated Pears was actually better at RT than anyone who lined up there last year. Sad but true. The truth is that they need to draft OTs AND keep Glenn whether through a contract or tag. My guess? Rex and Whaley will focus on the secondary and continue to lead this team off the cliff.
  23. He is way too short to play DE. He is quick from the DT spot when it comes to the short distance to get to the qb but it is unlikely that he has the speed to do so from the DE position. I could be wrong and might even hope to be, but I doubt if Kyle makes the Bills roster this year.
  24. Fina was horrible as time went on. He was small and weak. It was as if he was shrinking as the league got bigger. And don't forget, they actually made him the "franchise player."
  25. Great call! Overrated by fans: CJ Spiller EJ Manuel Donte Whitner Underrated by fans: Aaron Schobel - He had all those sacks with really not so much help at rushing the passer, AND he had Jauron sending him into coverage. On another team he would have had much better numbers (which were even very good on the Bills). Holecek was very good but he was just too banged up on a consistent basis. He had a ton of talent but could not stay on the field.
