  1. I fully agree wrt Tyrod. Did you see the move he put on that pass rusher when he made the guy fall? I think the kid can be great, I really do. Rex? How about we agree to disagree and hope that your take and not mine is correct.
  2. I suppose that you are incapable of reading your own post and seeing just how absurd it is. One of the main points you tend to make while insulting fans (when all else fails)is "it's only a game." You have said this time and again, for many years. Above, you admit to hating a segment of fans, and even categorize them because they disagree with your pandering, antagonistic, excuse making posts. There are posters on this board with whom I almost never agree and I LIKE them. Why does it get you so upset when posters do not agree with your views? Do you carry this over to other areas of your life?
  3. Be disturbed. Hate me. After all, I am a Bills Fan.
  4. 6. After each and every sign of failure, your comment: Fans blamed.
  5. Same here coach.
  6. When you are done, please send me a report . The WHY is sometimes hard for me to determine. Saban started as a defensive backs coach. He relies a ton on these guys. Imo, the safeties tend to be more into coverage than bruising run support. Again, Minkah at corner is great, and he is big. Not sure where he will play in the NFL, he may be a safety at that level, and a great one. Do however, Saban doesn't want any team to run on the Tide, ever. In that sense he is old school. Anderson goes unnoticed; I think you will be surprised at what he can do on the pass rush. Imo Foster, Williams and Allen are absolute stars. Hey man, I look forward to your analysis.
  7. No doubt. I really would love to cast a huge amount of blame on Rex and Whaley but it would be disingenuous of me to do so. My feeling is that many of these players were idiots before they got here. I do NOT however fully excuse Rex, as do some apologists here from what I have seen. I believe he sets a tone that doesn't really involve discipline, thus the penalties and suspensions. Rex is more of a barker at a cheap carnival than he is a football coach. Whaley is just in WAY over his head. His strengths are giving away Pegula's money and trading away his draft picks. I don't think that we will win 5 games this year. I will never, ever root against the Bills, but there is solace to be found in the fact that this will probably be it for Rex and Whaley.
  8. It's a passing league and this coach destroyed our pass rush. Now we even have his loser brother to make things that much worse. Would I rather have Pettine? Yes. I like to watch aggressive defenses, not 360 pound ballerinas. But that's just me.
  9. I agree Bandit. Do watch Ryan Anderson (#22) go and get qbs as well, and Tim Williams is flat out scary. On the DL I think Jonathan Allen might make a play or 2 , and I honestly believe that a healthy Minkah Fitzpatrick will be, as a sophomore, one of the best defensive backs in the country. That defense is loaded.
  10. Fournette might be the best RB in college or the pros. That does NOT mean that LSU will beat the Crimson Tide. Hey, they MIGHT, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  11. Yay!!! Great news John!!!!! Now all this defense needs to do is to increase their sack total by about 150%, and they will have almost as many as they had before Rex ruined them. It looks promising, no?
  12. What comment did I miss about Kujo?
  13. e-man, I know that you are a good guy. Seriously, a good guy. I THINK that you have trouble getting a clear picture of how a fan can be down on, or even depressed about the Bills, and this is NOT to throw stones at you. I have a really hard time understanding how any fan can have faith in either Rex or Whaley, so I have a different version of the same problem. I have little to no interest at all in the other big 3 American sports. The Bills are all I have in terms of pro sports and year after year, they suck. This is hard for some fans to face, you know? Some blame outside interference (refs). Some even blame other fans!!!! Quite a few just pretend that all is well. It isn't. Being a multi-decade Crimson Tide Fan eases the pain. They are always great with Saban and are always a threat to win a title. Btw, there is room on the bandwagon for one and all Bills Fans! Still, Bills Fan deserve better than this. Could we make the playoffs ONCE? Btw, I AM quite pleased with the news about Tyrod. Imo, qbs like him are the future of the game. I still think there is hope for this team once they get rid of Rex and Whaley.
  14. This is wonderful!!! TT is (imo) the best thing happening with this franchise, which was in dire need of some good news.
  15. Agreed. It is a scary situation and the man should let well enough alone before something terrible takes place.
  16. No my friend, Crimson Tide fan. The title game this year (which I mistakenly thought would be fairly easy) was one of the highlights of my sports watching life. That's why I specifically mentioned Kujo. I have seen almost every game he played in, and I'm saying he was the 4th or 5th best blocker on the Tide. I posted this way back when. Where we disagree is I don't think most of his actions are prudent, specifically the trades and the McCoy contract.
  17. I am a HUGE Crimson Tide Fan for many decades. I was glad to see them take Ragland, but I think that the sentence above is a problem. Whaley strikes me as the proverbial kid in a candy store. He gives away far too many draft choices and way too much money. When he DID trade down for draft picks he wound up with Kiko, and of course EJ Manuel. Shabby indeed. Yes, I do credit him with a couple of good draft picks, Darby is one. But his mistakes are glaring and huge. Even I knew that Kujo was injured, and not very good. EJ? McCoy's contract? Numerous draft pick giveaways? REX????!!!! I understand loyalty, but to whom are we loyal, Whaley or the Bills? Once again, my money says Rex won't last this entire season, and Whaley will be gone before next year. Hopefully they will turn out to be great, highly respected football gurus and I will be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. No, yours was lost some time ago when you declared war on and unleashed scorn upon Bills Fans. To call yourself a fan and spend untold time bashing other fans is bizarre behavior but I must say, original.
  19. Fair points. To clarify my stance, I am not trying to sell Bowles to you as a great coach. It shouldn't matter, but I even find his constant weird smile disturbing. I would not however make the case that Rex is better than Bowles because of head to head competition. Rex was/is experienced at coaching against Fitz and, I think had a better team. Jmo.
  20. I think so. If they still had Rex they would be drafting in the top 5.
  21. Consider this one of the oh so few times that I actually disagree with you, but here goes: Rex took a talented, aggressive defensive defense and turned it into a bunch of weak sisters, undisciplined to boot. They went from 54 to 21 sacks with talented pass rushers. It was a disgrace. Kyle and Aaron Williams are mentioned above. Kyle has taken a huge beating season after season. If he can hold up that would be great, but I wouldn't be 100% shocked if he is cut. I don't predict it mind you, but it wouldn't shock me. As for AW, any production from him would be a bonus. His injuries sounded serious, and frankly dangerous. Now, we lost our top 2 draft picks. When the contact starts, it's going to be an ugly, sad situation. I see no hope for this defense. Zero. I do however think we are on the same page wrt Tyrod. I think he really is the only hope right now for this team, and I hope they lock him into a long term contract. He brings another dimension to the team and I personally think he will even improve. I hope the receivers not named Watson get better, and this includes the perhaps fragile Clay. Once Rex and Whaley are fired, I will feel a lot better about the Bills.
  22. Absolutely! Many think Bryant was the best ever. Imo Saban is clearly superior to the Bear, and any coach in NCAA history. Not even close, but that's jmo.
  23. Interesting. My guess is that you are right, the older crowd is probably less tolerant of Rex. I tend to think it comes mostly down to the fact that as one ages, he or she is less likely to be fooled by a blowhard who brings nothing to the table. We have been around longer and seen and heard lots of Rex Ryan type losers. I must however give Rex kudos in that he has taken being a non-productive blowhard to the next level, and made quite a sum of money doing so.
