  1. I have been right and wrong about qbs. I am not trying to come off as an expert. That said, I have lots of faith in Tyrod. I expect him to easily be a top 15 qb by the end of the season. He might already be and I do not think top 10 is out of reach. I think many underestimate his ability to run. He runs as well as any qb in football imo. The kid can also throw, and he is smart. I am not at all worried about TT.
  2. Makes sense to me Simon, especially Miller. My number 4 (other than the obvious....Tyrod) would be Rex. This will be a tough year for the Bills under any conditions but this football team MUST improve upon 21 sacks. Yes, I get it.....pressure is as important as sacks, blah, blah, blah. But Ryan's much heralded defensive strategy sucked last year. Imo Ryan was Dick Jauron with a big mouth. If you see lots of Bills qb sacks and some forced fumbles and picks today, the screaming noise you hear will be me. Enjoy the game Simon, and all Bills Fans! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. It might be easier to draft a DT or LB than a corner in some drafts, but it is usually much harder to find pass rushing DEs, imo of course.
  4. I hope Whaley doesn't trade away what is left of the Bills 2017 draft picks. You know.....just in case they finish with a poor record.
  5. Yep. The guy is extremely high on Anderson. The team that drafts Anderson is going to be very happy and very lucky. The kid reminds me just a bit of Hughes.
  6. There is no reason for Rex to be in any fear of losing his job. None. He ruined a great defense last year and they let him bring in his brother to help make it worse.
  7. Yeah, I did put the cart in front of the horse, right?
  8. Why? Do you know this poster personally? It is high time for you to stop attacking Bills Fans. Your crusade is boring, bad for the site, and really rather pathetic.
  9. I have been raving about Foster and Anderson for a long time. Foster is a cross between Ragland and Courtney Upshaw., but reminds me a bit more of Upshaw because of the way he can cover. Anderson is a legit pass rusher AND run stopper. And if you can believe it, he too can cover some. If you are spending time breaking down the Tide defense, I urge you to check out CB Minkah Fitzpatrick. This game was his first as a true soph., and he is amazing. Imo, he will soon be an All American DB. In fact, the Tide secondary is probably as good as 1 or 2 NFL teams. There are at least 7 stars on the Tide starting defense, and I want to know more about #94 on the DL. He looked pretty damn good in the middle.
  10. Giving up and expecting a bad season are two entirely different things, wouldn't you say? I watch virtually every minute of every game. I have since I was able to via DirecTV. If I can, I will come up for a game this season. I have been up at least 15 times and spent quite a bit of money (by my standards). Bills fans are some of the nicest and funniest people on the planet. Given the above, if I expect a bad season, am I a traitor of sorts? We all have different ways of coping with 16 years of incompetence and futility. Mine is to look carefully at the product and give it an honest appraisal. My view of this season is not good at all, but I don't claim to know everything. A Bills playoff appearance would make me as happy as anybody on this board, bar none. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. The record of the Bills primarily rests in the hands of Tyrod. I forone believe he is up to the challenge too. The problem (imo) is Rex. He is going to lose us games. There is no discipline or accountability. I really don't think he will last the season but it will be too late when (and of course if) he is fired. It is interesting that almost 2x as many posters in this poll voted that the Bills will finish over .500 than below. What does this say to me? That Bills Fans are the greatest fans of any team in any sport.
  12. >>>>>"I know what it’s like to say, ‘I have no skill. I have no trade. I have no job,’ " Mike said. "I wanted to find blame for this. The cops need to be better. The teachers need to be better. The church needs to do more. "No, it comes down to you."<<<<< The above is a quote from his step father, and the best part of a very good article. I didn't live in one, but I worked in the worst neighborhoods in NYC (when NYC had 2,000 homicides per year (give or take 100 or so). I also spent 4 year walking on a street that the FBI called the worst block in the United States. I think that many would be surprised at how many ghetto residents agree 100,000% with the above quote. Few want to believe me, but I am telling you that most riots are sparked and staffed by outside agitators. Yes, and paid demonstrators. I have met them. And if Sammy wants to back Kaepernick about the National Anthem I think he is wrong, but so be it. Now, the pigs on Kaepernick's sox with police uniforms? I think Sammy is making a grave error if he backs this sort of behavior. police are one of the reasons he is alive. A simple thank you would be fine. To alienate veterans, patriotic citizens and police officers is a dumb move. Most people who take the "public be damned approach usually lose. Jmo.
  13. Out of the question but with numbers like that flying around for Bradford, EJ would probably bring us a 5th, or maybe even a 4th.
  14. Where would you rank Rex as a head coach?
  15. Hey man, I am just so sorry for your loss. I ask God to comfort you and all of your loved ones in these times of sadness.
  16. You are one super guy Mead.
  17. No. Although they traded down to get EJ, Whaley clearly leans toward trading away draft picks and of course over-paying players. That said, trading EJ could certainly get us back the 2018 pick that Whaley just gave away and who knows, maybe even another 7th rounder, or a mediocre at best ex-Jet.
  18. Was the song "Feelings" by Barry Manilow playing in the background when you wrote this post?
  19. Why don't you simply apologize? It might make you feel better about yourself.
  20. Hey, what's up with all of those shootings and homicides in Chicago? Who is doing the killings, the police? Or should we just blame guns?
  21. Fair enough. A GM obviously can't hit home runs every time at bat. I also commend the strategy of taking blockers early on. I am however quite curious to know what factored into Whaley making this selection. As a Tide Fan, even I knew he was hurt, and that there were far better blockers on that very team, let alone the entire NCAA. Not that I have a right to know mind you, I just cannot and never could understand it. Btw Kujo is, and as far as I know always was a great kid. I would love for him to suddenly be healthy and a star NFL left tackle.
  22. I fully agree wrt Tyrod. Did you see the move he put on that pass rusher when he made the guy fall? I think the kid can be great, I really do. Rex? How about we agree to disagree and hope that your take and not mine is correct.
  23. I suppose that you are incapable of reading your own post and seeing just how absurd it is. One of the main points you tend to make while insulting fans (when all else fails)is "it's only a game." You have said this time and again, for many years. Above, you admit to hating a segment of fans, and even categorize them because they disagree with your pandering, antagonistic, excuse making posts. There are posters on this board with whom I almost never agree and I LIKE them. Why does it get you so upset when posters do not agree with your views? Do you carry this over to other areas of your life?
  24. Be disturbed. Hate me. After all, I am a Bills Fan.
