Sure 26! Last year they won 8 games. And, they did it with 21 qb sacks, more than a 60% decline. Dareus was often back in coverage and sometimes when he was not, he was often standing around the LOS jumping and dancing. Rex couldn't even get production from Mario Williams in a 4/3. WE had 54 sacks before Rex got here. How many do you expect this seaon? How about the seemingly non-stop penalties? And btw, did Gilmore even try last week? These are just some of the ways Rex destroyed the team, and none are OK. This team is now, imo, awful. I said it before the season started. Whaley had a few good draft picks. Great!!! Fine thanks, but he also continues to overpay some players and peddle away draft picks. I make the case that we need a coach and a GM who are good at their jobs Bro. Whaley and Rex ARE simply awful imo.

No doubt, but do you view Rex as competent enough to make a change? He should be the first one out the door, followed by Whaley and Brandon. These are 3 men who are horrible at their jobs if the goal is to win football games. And Roman might be awful too, but I would take him over Rex in a heartbeat. We can pretend all is well and sing songs and roast marshmallows around the tire fire, but these 3 guys have turned a mediocre team into a disaster, and they had MUCH more of a negative impact than Roman. Jmo.

The Bills vs Brissett -Win or Fire Rex

WOW!!! :) After all these years, this is still a good board. The above is nothing short of pure originality that paints a vivid picture. I am thinking that quite a bit of suffering went into that post. I keep on telling ya.....Bills Fans are the greatest fans of any team in any sport. Not too many other fans would put up with this poor product and remain loyal. -
Is Gilmore really worth the money?
Bill from NYC replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My take on this never went over that well on this board, but I think that he was a dumb pick to begin with. I'm sorry, does he play like a #10 selection in a draft? Is this what people see when they watch Gilmore? For the record, he isn't a BAD player. He looked a whole lot better before Rex came to town and turned the Bills DL into his version of "Dancing Without The Stars." And this would apply to any corner. When a qb has all day to throw, he will complete passes. Did anyone see Von Miller take over the game last night? My deceased grandmother could have been playing corner and it would have made no difference. My point is that in this passing league, teams need pass rush. The Bills have good corners and no pass rush and this CAN'T work. And now, Gilmore doesn't look as if he cares. One of 2 things will most likely happen: 1) Gilmore walks and they "fill the hole" with a first round draft choice, even if it's a top 5 pick. 2) Whaley breaks the bank and gives Gilmore whatever he wants. I think #2 is more likely because Whaley is a worse spender than most of our ex-wives. Sorry to rant but this truly is a mess. My vote is for Gilmore to walk, but I want it to be in a parade led by Rex, Brandon and Whaley. -
Garoppolo - Another Whaley miss

Peter, you SHOULD defend Rex if you think its appropriate to do so. Do you think he is a good coach? Do you just like him as a person? Both? I am being serious btw. -
Ole Miss Chad Kelly Against #1 Alabama
Bill from NYC replied to KellyToTasker's topic in College Football
Stop hating and being miserable. Try to come to grips to the fact that the University of Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team are the National Champions. Btw, you hate Bills Fans and blast them several times per day and even blame fans for the Bills sad state of affairs. Do you credit Tide Fans for the team being so good? -
Good post but you stopped just short of the 2006 draft, which was an absolute killer to this team. Just horrible.

Doug Whaley- Failure to Field a Competitive Roster
Bill from NYC replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You left out the part about trading away draft choices. -
Sorry, but I must respectfully completely disagree with the above. Beside the point? Really? Brandon hired Whaley and Rex who are both incompetent. I think that this is beyond question. Brandon is a huckster along the lines of a barker at a cheap travelling carnival. He didn't hire Rex to win football games as much as to be a ticket selling blowhard. Remember he said we would be "bullies," and the team went down more than 60% in sacks? Bullies? Whaley and Rex are simply awful at what they do. Imo, neither will ever serve again in their current capacities. Who in their right mind would want them? Well, Brandon did and they all need to be fired. Hey, jmo. What is it that you want him to say? Seriously Promo, and I am not trying to be combative. What do you really think he should say after 17 years of bad management. Even you implied the other day that this team sucks.

We are already competitive. We just might get the first selection of the draft!

Rex, why don't you just go away...
Bill from NYC replied to Beef Jerky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is certainly a possibility. Why do you really think he was hired? He is more of an attention grabbing blowhard than a football coach. -
Record prediction after 2 games
Bill from NYC replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was the lone 4-12 vote in the recent poll. Looking back I was optimistic. Now I will say 2 to 4 wins. What a freaking shame. -

Bill from NYC replied to Beef Jerky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I recall, he makes 5.4 million per season guaranteed. It will cost lots of money to dump Rex, and probably the other 2 stooges as well. -
Not only was Gilmore torched, he seemed to want to tackle people about as much as Mario did last year. The fact is that he was just another bad first round pick by the Bills. And, he is yet another OK player that Whaley tried to shower with money he doesn't/didn't deserve, just like our pair of ex-Bills/Saints. If any fan can watch this team and not be sickened by Rex, Whaley, and of course Brandon, I envy you. PS: Rex is SO bad that I would consider Jauron to be a superior coach.

And he has already given away some of our draft picks. Whaley does not have enough self control to do his job. Reminds me of Rex. -
If the Bills lose tonight...
Bill from NYC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course I will be loyal to the team but the chances of making the playoffs would be close to zero imo. -
True indeed bbb. I was flat out furious when they picked Spiller. Not as angry as I was at the Whitner pick mind you, but there was never a doubt in my mind from day 1 that Spiller was a total waste at #9. It's a shame what Bills management has put us fans through, and you are correct. Amateurs like us knew just how dumb these picks were. Other fans, numb from disappointment, cling to the possibility that there still might be something left in these bad, spent players. I think that with new ownership, the Bills finally have a chance, if and when they get rid of the 3 Stooges, Brandon, Whaley and Rex.

To be fair to Tyrod.....
Bill from NYC replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 is plenty. The truth is I doubt if he would take 10 mil these days. Maybe 12, and I'm not even sure about that. If (which I doubt) he would sign with the Bills, it wouldn't cost much. They could fire Rex AND Whaley. There is no way Whaley could tell Saban what to do in any situation, ever. -

I fully agree and I hate to say it but a lot of the pressure was coming from Incog's side. He really got beat up on a few plays that I saw. I didn't think the OL was great but I certainly thought it was better than that. And I'm glad that you noticed what I did with Woods. I still don't understand what was going on with the way he kept falling down.
