  1. Not only was Gilmore torched, he seemed to want to tackle people about as much as Mario did last year. The fact is that he was just another bad first round pick by the Bills. And, he is yet another OK player that Whaley tried to shower with money he doesn't/didn't deserve, just like our pair of ex-Bills/Saints. If any fan can watch this team and not be sickened by Rex, Whaley, and of course Brandon, I envy you. PS: Rex is SO bad that I would consider Jauron to be a superior coach.
  2. Yeah, he was crawling off the field. This is gonna be a LONG season.
  3. And he has already given away some of our draft picks. Whaley does not have enough self control to do his job. Reminds me of Rex.
  4. Of course I will be loyal to the team but the chances of making the playoffs would be close to zero imo.
  5. True indeed bbb. I was flat out furious when they picked Spiller. Not as angry as I was at the Whitner pick mind you, but there was never a doubt in my mind from day 1 that Spiller was a total waste at #9. It's a shame what Bills management has put us fans through, and you are correct. Amateurs like us knew just how dumb these picks were. Other fans, numb from disappointment, cling to the possibility that there still might be something left in these bad, spent players. I think that with new ownership, the Bills finally have a chance, if and when they get rid of the 3 Stooges, Brandon, Whaley and Rex.
  6. Great stuff Bro! You are on a roll!!!
  7. Then there will be posters saying how we should grab a safety or a corner.
  8. 3 is plenty. The truth is I doubt if he would take 10 mil these days. Maybe 12, and I'm not even sure about that. If (which I doubt) he would sign with the Bills, it wouldn't cost much. They could fire Rex AND Whaley. There is no way Whaley could tell Saban what to do in any situation, ever.
  9. I fully agree and I hate to say it but a lot of the pressure was coming from Incog's side. He really got beat up on a few plays that I saw. I didn't think the OL was great but I certainly thought it was better than that. And I'm glad that you noticed what I did with Woods. I still don't understand what was going on with the way he kept falling down.
  10. This imo is a good discussion. Thank you. There certainly are many here who want EJ in there. It's not that unusual. It is VERY hard for some fans (and I think that you know this) to come to grips with the fact that a first round draft choice on your team sucks. As for the penalties, let me ask you this: If Alabama had 4 penalties on special teams alone, how do you think Saban would react? Well, he coaches college kids. You are right, these ARE grown men. Is there really an excuse for this? I don't understand how you see any advantage of having Rex on this team, let alone Whaley and Brandon, both of whom might be worse.I think that Brandon brought in Rex as a money making blowhard. I really would like to know what you like about any and all of them, but no charts please. And btw, I'm not a fan of Cowherd, but is he wrong?
  11. So, are you ready to go with EJ? Btw, was it EJ's fault when he lost most of his starts or did other factors weigh in, other than the fact that he sucks? The defense looked pretty good on Sunday, but Ryan is the same bad coach. The penalties are just sickening. There is no accountability on this team. If you don't believe me, just ask the weed smokers who were suspended.
  12. What a great post and huge transformation. :) I was at the game when they lost to Cleveland. I think the score was 6-3. That game was even worse than this but I get your message.
  13. I doubt is Sammy is the best, but do I suppose that This is somehow possible. However, it is getting more and more difficult to defend Whaley and his "give away the store" trades. There is a very good chance that this team sucks. We are already without draft picks that Whaley traded away. Do you see any indication that Whaley will stop giving away picks? Where would that leave the team? I am calling for Whaley to be fired, and this is not a knee jerk reaction to this game. I said it before the season. Whaley is simply not good at his job. He is a kid in a candy store. He cannot resist squandering team resources. Just a rank amateur who is in WAY over his head. Where are the draft picks to correct this mess? How much does Shady make? He had a couple of good draft picks but so did some of the posters on this board. With Whaley, and for that matter Brandon and Rex, I think that we are looking ahead at more long term losing. Very sad but true.
  14. it is not unreasonable to assume that he would have had a better showing if Sammy was healthy. We all know that Sammy is a good player, and wr is a problem if they were all healthy. Woods imo has morphed into a strange player. I saw him throw a nice block yesterday but he looked like his balance was off on other plays. Almost like he was intox, falling around, etc. And with teams forced to double Watkins, one would think he would be open more than he appears to be. If Sammy is out for any length of time, this could very well be a top 5 team in the 2017 draft. Hopefully by then, Whaley will not have given away the rest of our picks.
  15. Thanks so much to you and everyone for the kid words. Just to clarify things a bit, I did in fact say that I wasn't going to post "Thoughts." It was NOT because I think that Bills completely suck, but I will admit that it is harder these days to point out faults on the board, or so it seems. I am the first to admit that what, and the way I wrote was 100% unremarkable. But, it did take work. Picture if you will a big idiot sitting in a sports bar or even at home watching DirecTV and scribbling barely readable notes and song lyrics in a spiral notebook for an entire game. Speeding to and from the men's room. That idiot would be me. I actually had people ask if they could read my notes. The truth is that I can use a rest, AND I think that other far more intelligent posters can do it better than I did, although having a sort of a central recap is probably a good idea. Btw there WAS a lot I wanted to say yesterday The only advice that I very respectfully offer to others about doing this is: 1) Try hard to talk WITH people instead of at them, or just reporting stats. This will encourage debate, without which there is no fun or reward. 2) Don't try to hide your eccentricity and originality. Embrace it. Btw, no matter how much we bicker, we are the best fans on earth. I am a Crimson Tide Fan for close to 45 years. It's easy. All you have to do is put on the TV and watch them be great. We stick with the Bills come what may, and what does come is rarely pretty. Most of all, thanks to everyone for the kind wishes and prayers when I was sick. Posters here actually tried to comfort my kids. My neuro said last week that I no longer have any symptoms at all. There is not enough time in eternity for me to thank you people. I will still be around. You are stuck with me until the mods toss me. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bills pass rush and overall defense were much better than I expected them to be. The corners were too far off but even they played well, Gilmore in particular. I never could understand why a team would draft dbs high, and then play them far away from the receivers. This is what they did with Whitner. The OL was quite another story, and this includes the left side.
  16. I have been right and wrong about qbs. I am not trying to come off as an expert. That said, I have lots of faith in Tyrod. I expect him to easily be a top 15 qb by the end of the season. He might already be and I do not think top 10 is out of reach. I think many underestimate his ability to run. He runs as well as any qb in football imo. The kid can also throw, and he is smart. I am not at all worried about TT.
  17. Makes sense to me Simon, especially Miller. My number 4 (other than the obvious....Tyrod) would be Rex. This will be a tough year for the Bills under any conditions but this football team MUST improve upon 21 sacks. Yes, I get it.....pressure is as important as sacks, blah, blah, blah. But Ryan's much heralded defensive strategy sucked last year. Imo Ryan was Dick Jauron with a big mouth. If you see lots of Bills qb sacks and some forced fumbles and picks today, the screaming noise you hear will be me. Enjoy the game Simon, and all Bills Fans! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. It might be easier to draft a DT or LB than a corner in some drafts, but it is usually much harder to find pass rushing DEs, imo of course.
  19. I hope Whaley doesn't trade away what is left of the Bills 2017 draft picks. You know.....just in case they finish with a poor record.
  20. Yep. The guy is extremely high on Anderson. The team that drafts Anderson is going to be very happy and very lucky. The kid reminds me just a bit of Hughes.
  21. There is no reason for Rex to be in any fear of losing his job. None. He ruined a great defense last year and they let him bring in his brother to help make it worse.
  22. Yeah, I did put the cart in front of the horse, right?
  23. Why? Do you know this poster personally? It is high time for you to stop attacking Bills Fans. Your crusade is boring, bad for the site, and really rather pathetic.
  24. I have been raving about Foster and Anderson for a long time. Foster is a cross between Ragland and Courtney Upshaw., but reminds me a bit more of Upshaw because of the way he can cover. Anderson is a legit pass rusher AND run stopper. And if you can believe it, he too can cover some. If you are spending time breaking down the Tide defense, I urge you to check out CB Minkah Fitzpatrick. This game was his first as a true soph., and he is amazing. Imo, he will soon be an All American DB. In fact, the Tide secondary is probably as good as 1 or 2 NFL teams. There are at least 7 stars on the Tide starting defense, and I want to know more about #94 on the DL. He looked pretty damn good in the middle.
