  1. I generally agree with your post but will point out that Peters moved from tight end to right tackle, then to left tackle. Bandit is also correct. There is LESS of a difference between LT and RT these days, although imo one still exists. A RT can come a little closer to getting by on brute strength. A top LT absolutely must have excellent agility and mobility.
  2. That's ok. Who needs Brady or BB? They have Gilmore! :)
  3. I am thinking that Wood is not THE most overrated player the Bills have fielded this century, but he certainly is in the top 5. Imo, this signing is a bad indication of how they will allocate this bevy of early draft picks they now possess. I mean, who needs to draft blockers when you have players like Miller and Wood? I agree Badol, this was a total waste of money.
  4. Yeah, I know. They sure had a rough time at USC last year. Maybe you should go eat a "role" and have some coffee.
  5. Nihilism? Ya think? History tells us that his comment, however sarcastic, made perfect sense.
  6. I'm surprised. After all, Gilmore was a "shut down corner."
  7. Bravo my friend. Bravo!!! Imo, a 2006 type draft would mark the ruination of this franchise in every way, including remaining in WNY.
  8. The above is a perfect description of Tyrod. His mobility will also serve as a band aid for the weak OL, just like when Doug Flutie was here. I like Tyrod but he just doesn't seem to be a good enough passer to take advantage of the rule changes. Peterman? I have no idea how good he is. As far as I know he could be a decent qb or worse than Trent Edwards. I know it is early but do you think that he will be any good?
  9. Yes. The Bills should have grabbed a corner. He was totally worth taking. Maybe they should have taken him a #8, right?
  10. I know. It would seem almost as dumb as drafting a sub-par running back in the top 10 without much blocking. :)
  11. Ducasse might really be the worst player in the NFL. And thanks for the great news about Roy Batty.
  12. Would you take a first rounder in 2019?
  13. I recently completed the book by Dr. Omalu. Maybe he did too. At his age he is even more of a sitting duck to get clobbered by some assassin defensive back. He was wise to get out imo.
  14. I don't think that such a trade is beyond the realm of possibility mind you, but Bills Fans are the funniest fans in sports.
  15. No problem. You know how fast RBs hit the wall. One would hope they are already anticipating Shady's demise. Hughes is under contract for a while and seems healthy. Incog, Kyle and Wood already need to be replaced sooner than later. This teams needs at least 2 rock solid drafts, to of course include a quarterback. It can be done too KJ, but to do so the Bills will need a complete, total reversal of their drafting trends.
  16. That post, combined with your screen name is too funny!!!
  17. You see, I completely disagree CB. I think that he was here to earn just a few more millions and ride off into the sunset. Older players don't come to Buffalo to win championships these days. How could they when they look up and see NE? And I don't think it matters at all. Odds tell us that he would have caught a couple of short passes, got hurt, and collected his checks. In 2018, the Bills will have their biggest opportunity since 2006 to improve this team. I suppose the total collapse we are now watching really is just a necessary evil.
  18. Bandit, a close friend of mine is an avid Jets Fan. I consider him to be a football expert as far as fans go. I won't put him in a class with Badol, but I would place him in the 2 percentile of knowledgeable fans. He told me that Ducasse might be the worst offensive lineman he has ever seen. Now, he can't remember seeing Greg Jerman or Marcus Spriggs, but his point is taken. From what I have seen, I am convinced that the Bills could do better with an undrafted free agent. They really should cut Duclasse today and try to coach someone up, especially if doing so will help net them another 3rd!!!
  19. This is a solid idea. Why do NFL teams waste their resources on the small stuff like blocking and pass rush? I think that the Bills should line up 6 or 7 defensive backs on defense AND offense. It's an idea whose time has come. Great post, thanks!!! Nobody. They are a waste of a roster spot.
  20. I wonder if we could get Marcus Spriggs in for a visit.
  21. 4 minutes Bro. That was impressive!
  22. Your point is taken, but they also have used a lot of 2nds and 3rds on dbs 26. Mike Williams was also a mistake. He was a RT with a bad weight problem and a chronic ankle injury coming out of college. McKinnie had his issues but he was an excellent LT. My signature in those days was "Draft McKinnie." If the Bills decide to make the OL a priority, 2018 is the time to do so.
  23. Of course, but the Bills prefer to draft defensive backs. They traditionally shy away from blockers. In fact, since 1990 the Bills have drafted no less than 10 dbs in the first round. This of course does not count Darby who was our first pick but a second rounder. In the same time span they have drafted all of 4 blockers in round 1. One would think that there would be no excuse for not drafting offensive linemen next year but I don't count on it.
  24. That screen name is just great!!! I place it easily in my top 10 and I have been here since the 90's. Welcome to TSW.
  25. Gerry the move might turn out to be a good one. I wouldn't bank on it but it's surely possible. The OP was asking if the new admin compares to Levy/Jauron and I think that there are in fact similarities at this point.
