1) University of Alabama Crimson Tide 2) Clemson 3) Washington (great coach and easy conference) 4) Georgia I left the Big 10 out because imo they will wear each other down. Lots of talent up there. I didn't see your post before I sent mine in. I didn't think anyone else would give Washington much of a chance.

Patriots rookie OL Isaiah Wynn suffers torn Achilles

The kid is a very good player. I feel sorry for him. Is this the injury that ruined Bryce Paup's career? -
Do you trust the process?
Bill from NYC replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trust it in terms of what? This seasons w/l record? Long term success? Now, is McDermott going to be better than Rex? Absolutely but that is a low bar indeed. Also, if you have to shamelessly copy another coach, it might as well be Nick Saban. I would say that McDermott has a pretty decent shot at success based on this alone. -
ODB, I don't know if Foster will be any good. I HOPE so but who knows? As for the bold print above, try to understand that Foster played on a team with a great wr Calvin Ridley, AND a qb who was a runner and a game manager. A case could be made that he is not such a good passer at all. Additionally, deep down; Coach Saban prefers running the football over throwing it. He has adapted well (obviously) to the times but seriously.....he would rather run. Foster probably has a lot to learn when compared to other rookies due to the above. He didn't get a whole lot of chances. Why don't we stay calm and see how it plays out?

And your comment is also fair! That said, I would absolutely love to see UCF try to stop our offense. I still would also like to know your favorite teams.

Fair questions. Life has taught me that people who get in trouble more often than not continue to do so. That is all. I did also say that I hope that "Shady" never gets in any more trouble. If the experiences in your life have taught you something different, I respect that and am happy for you. If you want to label me as a hypocrite, so be it. Maybe down the road one of us will recall this exchange. Be well and GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what happened. All we can do is speculate and if McCoy is guilty, it looks like he will get away with it. The only thing I CAN say with confidence is that he is going to get jammed up again and again. It's really just a matter of time. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets arrested tonight for something totally unrelated to this case.

No, but how I wish they would!

You think that Alabama is given special consideration? Really? Why would this be so? Because they are such a huge, heavily populated state? Are they a big national draw like Notre Dame? Jealous fans and sportscasters wanted to put OSU in there with 2 losses, one of them a slaughter. The Tide got in (deservedly so) and the rest is history. Might I inquire who your favorite team is?

Bills preview on Good Morning Football
Bill from NYC replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry, I have no link, but; I do recall that many years back I read about the NFL doing a study and the results were that a huge majority of men preferred watching football games with their wives or girlfriends. It makes sense imo. My actions are not limited because she is there, other than that I use less foul language while watching the Bills (not such a bad idea :)) Watching every Bills and the Crimson Tide game certainly did not help my relationship with my ex, but there were enough issues to put football down on the totem pole of importance. My current long time gf is into the Giants and the Crimson Tide, and I welcome her presence while watching games. And, it takes something HUGE to make me miss a game of either team. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
When did this happen? Oh, I forgot.....they lost by 33 points to one of those powerhouse Iowa teams.

13 UNC Football Players suspended for.....
Bill from NYC replied to JoeF's topic in College Football
You see, Coach Saban is the best college football coach of all time. Even more remarkable imo is that he might be the best in every phase of college coaching to include: Recruiting Game management Developing talent Getting players to buy into his system Discipline Also, one of the most important aspects of college football is recognizing talent. It is said that you don't get beat by recruits that you failed to sign. You get beat by the ones you DO sign who don't play well for whatever reason. Alabama always has some players who don't last. This season he has already tossed 2 LBs (a position of need) off the team. One of them was the kid who went after a coach in the playoffs. He makes mistakes like all humans but he wins and is going to keep on winning. -

The rules should be relaxed. If this happened at Alabama I would be furious. And, the penalty was too harsh. I don't recall......what happened to Winston when he was caught stealing? Isn't that much worse than selling your own sneakers? -

I am under the impression that Washington will be pretty good next year. And I do think the defense will keep us close much of the time but if the offense is lousy, the defense will get tired. The OL needs to step up and I'm not quite sure that they can. -
Interesting Astro Tweet re: Beane
Bill from NYC replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a well thought suggestion. I wouldn't think it possible sans the Buffalo roots Mack has. I really, REALLY am against trading away our precious draft picks; I'm sure its a Whaley hangover of sorts. If they sign him as a UFA they will still have picks and they might be early ones at that. If this club is finally managed correctly, we will soon have a winner. I for one would be loathe to trade away our draft resources for a linebacker, even a great one. The truth is, an early pick would not surprise me after this season. I would rather see the Bills draft an offensive tackle and a pass rushing defensive end with the multiple picks that it would cost for Mack. If they do decide to trade for Mack I won't be furious mind you. It wouldn't be quite as stupid as trading for Sammy, but imo it would be counter productive in terms of building a winning team in the long and perhaps even short term.
