  1. The OL was good, not great. LG Lester Cotton was replaced several games ago with a kid who was doing quite well. He got hut and Cotton came back in and you could see the difference. Jonah looked good but I have never seen him look bad since he has ben at Alabama. He was even spectacular at RT at his size. Jonah is a perfect college LT but remember, he came to Bama as a 245 pound TE. Now this is great for coordination but can he keep the weight on to play in the NFL? Probably, but that (imo) is a risk for a top 10 pick. His weight lifting numbers at the combine will matter a lot imo but again, his balance and footwork would appear to be flawless and he practices every day against monsters. Nobody said that was a good call. Now, do you really think that Alabama gets more favorable calls than Notre Dame? Imo, a Notre Dame championship is exactly what the networks want, not another title for the Crimson Tide.
  2. Is that the place from which you inherited your jealous traits?
  3. Please. Two of those calls were shaky, but it is usually the other way around. And if a team wants to beat The National Champion University of Alabama Crimson Tide, the thing is; you might want to score a point against them. This is something that just has not happened in 8 full quarters. Make no mistake, the Tide can lose. I fully know this. But do let me know who you think will beat us.
  4. One good thing that could come out of this matchup would be if McDermott took the time to explain the "process" he invented to Coach Saban. It might help Nick in his future endeavors.
  5. If you are including the 2020 draft, Alabama has 3 wide receivers who will almost certainly go in round 1 and another who is a true freshman who is in the same class already. This doesn't include the TE who gets better every week. I am loving it that Beane is personally scouting these players.
  6. The above doesn't seem to be a problem for everyone.
  7. Well lets see....who did McDermott shamelessly plagiarize the "process" from? I cringe when McDermott uses that term, but the screen names it has brought here are just too funny!!!
  8. I am one of the biggest Crimson Tide Fans in New York. Alabama would lose miserably. I will also say that almost every starter currently on the Tide will be better than almost every current Bills starter, but not yet. They are college kids and the Bills would beat them.
  9. McKinnie did have some issues. Imo, if he worked harder and partied less he would have been Orlando Pace great. Instead, he was only Jumbo Elliot great. McKinnie would have made a very big difference on our team.
  10. That too was bad. We will know what the story is early on in the next draft. We have dire need at every offensive position. If they draft early round secondary and neglect WRs and OL, it would not surprise me if the franchise folds.
  11. Imo Whaley had no self control. Sure, Sammy was "good." This is beyond dispute but for 2 1sts and a 4th and having no quarterback? Whaley just couldn't/wouldn't stop giving away our picks. Sadly, Buffalo doesn't seem to be very high on the list of places where free agents want to play. For this reason we need more, not less draft choices and they need to be properly utilized. Whaley was decent at recognizing talent, but he never would have won here imo. Not with those stupid trades.
  12. Yes, Jauron kicked ass after being here for 3 1/2 years! Seriously, almost every person on that list was a terrible hire. One was worse than the next. Levy/Jauron would have kept losing if they were here for 50 years. I still actually think that the team has a better chance to win with the Pegulas. Ralph was done and Brandon was a horror show. Jmo.
  13. Yep, we passed on LT Bryant McKinney, a player who had a long distinguished career and Drafted Mike Williams, a RIGHT Tackle with weight issues and a chronic ankle injury. The insanity will stop in 2019!!!
  14. A top 5 pick could set us up pretty well. Hopefully they could parlay it into something more with a trade down. I have never wanted the Bills to lose, but our offense surely needs all the help it can get at every single position except hopefully quarterback, and even there we need at least 1 backup. The Bills need good, intelligent, sane drafts.
  15. It just occurred to me that these teams are so bad, if one went to the game wearing Bills gear and cheers if the jets score a td, he might get attacked by jet fans wanting that earlier pick. In essence, this game is the "Draft Bowl."
  16. 16-14 Jets. Bills lose on a missed fg in the last seconds.
  17. I agree with you, but; the Bills could probably get quite a bit in return for a top 3 or even top 5 pick, let alone the #1. I would like to see them acquire 1st and 2nd round picks for 2 seasons. My thing is that this team needs a complete overhaul under any conditions. There is no offense and key defenders are old. I was never one to want the Bills to lose. Never, and I have been around for some bad teams. But, Alex Van Pelt was better than Anderson and Peterman. How scary is that? I hate to say it but in this one instance, losing out might not be the worst thing that could happen to Bills Fans.
  18. Why would anyone be? Just because there are several other more important needs?
  19. I am thrilled to see this young man get a chance to play. He was an actual walk on.....at Alabama which is all but impossible. THAT is how hard he works. I don't know how his skills will translate to the NFL but he contributed to a national champion winning team and was very clutch. Calvin Ridley even spoke highly of him. I hope he kicks ass!!!
  20. I know that they are heavily tied into the qb position, but I want to toss piss poor drafts into the equation. For decades they have been passing on good to even great players at positions of need and drafting secondary and running backs, many of whom were too small and/or injured.
  21. Same here. I was Watson all the way.
  22. True. Rex was going to play "smash-mouth" defense and we would be "bullies." Then, he sent Mario Williams and Marcel Dareus into pass coverage. On other plays he had Dareus dance at the LOS while waving his hands. He looked like a 350 pound man at a Grateful Dead Concert.
