Good point, and for a losing team to boot. Bills fans are the best fans of any team in any sport. It's no secret that I am a lifelong Alabama Fan. We have a tremendous, loyal fan base but can you imagine how easy it is to be an Crimson Tide Fan? Even the name is fantastic! They are consistently great and have the best coach in the history of college football, and it isn't remotely close. If Bama loses their qb on the first play this year they will still probably lose only 2 games. I think all Bills Fans would be better off emotionally if they also were Tide fans but I digress. Nobody is more loyal that Bills Fans. Nobody, and I mean this. We stuck with them through decades of disappointments and defeats yet year after year our hopes are high. I think that my daughters are stronger people because they are Bills Fans, and I sincerely mean this. Yes, being fans is something we are the best at. NFL defenses smell blood. It's hard to cover up even one weak spot in this game of matchups. Our OL is once again littered with holes and question marks. I am trying to stay hopeful but I have been down this road many, many times. I can sadly recall some of the worst NFL players I ever saw "blocking" for the Bills. I am hopeful about the team now because of this draft but it seems like no matter who is running the show, we neglect the OL or at the very least dedicate resources to blockers who can't play. Of course not. And some Jauron ball on defense?

So have the Bills. Let's hope that things have changed.

Absolutely. I expect Tua to be flat out great. My dark horse is Najee Harris. If he stays healthy he will catch dozens of passes in addition to being a great runner. Wow, really? Francis looks like he will be broken in half.

The truth is that I suspect that the Bills are going in the right direction. I was very fond of this draft. But, I fear that the OL will be SO weak this season that they will resemble Levy/Jauron teams with zero push. In 2019 there is a good chance that the qb issue will finally be solved. We will have a ton of cap space and perhaps even a high draft pick. We can strengthen the OL and other positions of need.

1) AJ does a decent job. 2) We go 2-4 in our division. 3) 5-11, and I'm being generous.

It wouldn't be so difficult. His posts can be divided primarily into 2 categories: 1) Attacks against Bills Fans. 2) Attacks against every sportswriter who doesn't write lengthy pieces on how great the Bills are from top to bottom. Count me as one who likes Bills Fans more than I like the team, and with good reason. I have conversed and met in person with good, smart, really nice people like yourself and so many others. During these times, the team wasn't very good (to be kind). I will never give up hope for a championship but this is less promising that the good times to be had talking to and being around Bills Fans. And as far as the sportswriters.....again, try writing about a team that not only sucks most of the time, but often plays a boring style of football and screws up almost every draft. That would seem to be a whole lot harder than covering the Pats. I hope that THIS draft was the one we were waiting for. It looks good imo.

Can you even imagine this team with a good place kicker? Hey, do you think they will move Williams and play Leatherwood at LT? He was shoving Ga. players around with ease as a freshman. My hunch is that this offense will be virtually unstoppable.

I agree. Trust me, it isn't easy to write about a team that sucks for the better part of 20 years. Eventually, you are going to have to say some not nice things and mortally wound people like Promo.

Not to worry if they are healthy. Najee Harris will probably be a much better RB than Damien this year, I kid you not. He is bigger, stronger and even faster. He still has to produce but he is a freak. They also have a kid named Bryan Robinson and he too is a big monster. I once heard Bo Scarborough in an interview saying how good this kid is.

It feels good that the only Crimson Tide player on the list was Damien Harris. He is a very good player but there really might be 5 or 6 better players on the Tide offense. I'm not even joking.

You are being FAR too generous with Whaley. He had lousy drafts in which he gave away the store. He handed other teams his most valuable assets time and again. Give me a ring when this inept failure of a GM gets another job at that level. I did.

I wish they would hire Badol to report on the Bills and provide an in depth, knowledgeable, accurate, honest, intricate analysis for all things Buffalo Bills because that is exactly what he has done here for decades. Nobody is ever 100% accurate but my experience on TSW (also 2 decades) tells me that if you disagree with Badol about football matters, chances are you are going to be wrong. Nick Saban however might be able to teach him a thing or 2.

Coach Saban does value punters. Our last one was a star. I'm pretty sure they have an incoming freshman or current player and am not sure what happened in this instance. It has however been a while since they had a good place kicker.

Do you think that decisions like the above should be left to SDS and the mods, or do you really think that you have the authority on this board to tell valued posters what they should say and/or how to post? My guess (strictly a guess) is that a lot more posters care about what John has to say as opposed to caring about your posts, or mine for that matter.

How much truth have you told over the years while praising every inept move by Bills management and blaming dedicated Bills Fans for the misfortune of the team? I don't question the fact that you are a Bills fan. That said, I personally could not support a team if I held their fans in such utter disdain. Who do you despise more, Bills Fans or any sportswriter who doesn't fawn all over every dumb move the Bills have made in the last 20 years?

I would also put Lewis behind Willie Lanier. Truthfully I think that Lanier was at least as good as Butkus, but that is jmo. Btw, I am glad that Robert Brazile was on the list. Not too many people talk about him but he was a superb lb. I think that he too belongs in or near the top 10. Mike Curtis was great. Yes, he absolutely belongs on that list. Agreed and imo it wasn't even a little bit close. Taylor was in a class by himself.
