I am thrilled by the job that Virgil is doing, and; if he needs a week off I will help him out. -
2nd Update: Early 2019 mock draft
Bill from NYC replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in College Football
I think a few of those teams had a great qb, good defense and good blocking. And, I don't think that many of those dbs were top 10 picks. -
You see, I for one have always enjoyed this great site more in the offseason than I do during the regular season. In the off months, anything is possible here in our little cyber corner where we share our hopes and comradery. Having said that, this year was especially good and my thanks are in order so here we go: 1) Thank you SDS and the mods. For decades you have provided a forum for a bunch of top notch (however depressed :)) Bills Fans. Scott, you had a great vision which has meant so much to so many. Mods, you do the work and should be quite proud. Take a well deserved bow. 2) Thanks for those who indulge me in dialogue. I know that I can be opinionated and a bit stubborn, thanks for tolerating this. A special thanks to those who disagree with me and engage me in constructive dialogue. 3) Thank you to the posters who are a fountain of information and point out things that I miss. How cool is it to be able to click on a web site and have access to intricate details about players, formations, coaching strategies, etc. BADOLBILZ (and others), I tip my hat to you. 4) Thanks to all of you draftniks. This is a part of this board that is just so vital imo. I get more and better info here than I do on major media sites. Nice work!!! 5) Thank you to the many outstanding posters who I no longer see around. Lori, Simon, AKC, Petrino, Bob Lamb. Cablelady and so many others helped set the tone for us to have what we have here. My deepest regards. 6) Thanks to posters like Albany89 and others who stop back in from time to time. Your presence matters. 7) Finally, thanks to the person(s) who lobbied for a college football board. It is a good one and is getting better. I hope to see more people visit and talk about their team. God bless you all and GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do we draft with a top 5 pick next year ?
Bill from NYC replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point. Imho, early first round draft picks should be used on QBs, Pass rushing DEs and LTs. I think this because they are just so hard to get any other way. If the Bills pick early next season (10 or below) they would (imo) be well served to draft a pass rusher or a top LT. If none are there I would be tempted to trade the pick to a team that needs a qb and go after other positions, this; only because we already have a qb. -
Mallett was an absolute failure but he is 100x better than Peterman will ever be, or so I think. He could throw a better out pattern with his left hand than Peterman could with a running start. As for Allen, he is a lot more athletic than Mallett and also has a cannon.

Well, I saw your location and sensed that it might explain some hostility. If AJ is as bad as you think he is, you should want him to start. Allen will get destroyed behind our OL and Peterman must prove that he isn't the worst QB in the history of the NFL. That said, I am 100% pleased that they drafted Allen. 100%.

What do we draft with a top 5 pick next year ?
Bill from NYC replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure FIC, Tre is "good." Absolutely. They also passed on quarterbacks to take him. I have always said that building a team properly is more important than just getting someone "good." Picks like Spiller, Whittner, McKelvin, etc. destroyed this team and we could go back even more than this. -
I must hand it to most UGA Fans.....they did take the loss pretty well.

Well, a part time, undersized scat back could also be worth a top 10 pick. -

Thank you my friend. It is SOOOO refreshing to see that many others now recognize this after all these years! It used to be just a few of us. -
You absolutely are dripping with jealousy. Why worry, maybe Penn State will win the title this year, right?

2nd Update: Early 2019 mock draft
Bill from NYC replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in College Football
Ok, true enough but I didn't bring it up this time. I was kicking and screaming and it was dragged out of me. -
Right now, who is the Bills best Qb?

Give Peterman a chance!!! -
2nd Update: Early 2019 mock draft
Bill from NYC replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in College Football
Surprised? Seriously? A db in round 1 wouldn't surprise me even if we have a top 5 pick. And some would defend it too. We will lose games if we do this but some can and will make the case that the db is "good." -
I read a recent article that said Alex Leatherwood is on the top of the depth chart at Right Guard. remember how great he looked against UGA when he played the second half at LT? He is a road grader and what he can do at Guard is just plain scary! RTR!!!!!!!

Candid conversations w college coaches
Bill from NYC replied to Cripple Creek's topic in College Football
Thanks for a great link. Believe it or not I am surprised to see THAT many coaches (92%) called Alabama the best team. The secondary is brand new and the lbs are thin due to injury so I am not exactly sure how good they are on defense. On offense.....different story. This offense might be even better than the one who wiped out Notre Dame. They have stars at every skill position and the OL (if they remain healthy) is just stacked. -

Maybe the teacher was a trans sexual. -
I agree with this 100%. A person who put their life on the line deserves respect for having done so. Period. That aside, there are few politicians that I hold in a lower regard than John McCain. He was a shill for Hillary Clinton. He supported her agenda and worked hard against his president. To this day I think that he was nominated to assure that Obama would win, and I think the same of Romney, that sellout scumbag. I do however thank McCain, Graham, Romney, Rubio, Kasich, and others for turning me off to most republicans.

But CB, exactly WHICH police department? Besides, police departments don't let psychopaths out on bail. Courts do and to be fair, the mental health laws make it hard to hold someone. Are you familiar with this? I had a case where this old guy's wife passed away. He then lived alone on a fairly wealthy street. He was the godfather to the lady next door, now in her 50s. He started smoking crack and bringing pimps, prostitutes and drug dealers to his house. They were on this beautiful block at ALL hours. His neighbors and 2 daughters took him to court, claiming he was incompetent. This guy had a clean sheet and was apparently normal his whole life. He told the judge he was fine and the daughters just wanted his money. The judge ruled in his favor CB and didn't hold him. As for Incog, he could kill someone at will with his hands, let alone 5 guns. He didn't. I don't worship him because he was a Bill and wouldn't choose to be his friend in the shape he is in, but; he didn't hurt anyone in this incident. I have seen some of these guys up close. I was there one of the times Gastineau was arrested and was talking to him. He wasn't taking care of himself and was in bad shape by then. Still, he could have ripped someone's head off at will and he was a weakling compared to Jumbo Elliot when he was acting out. These guys are genetic mutants, many crazed on steroids. You see where I am going, no?

A problem in the SEC is that Bama is SO good, one can forget that there are other first rate teams. Auburn and UGA are powerhouses, and (imo) Mississippi State is a very good football team. Fitzgerald is a fantastic college qb and their OL is almost always strong. I do completely agree that we need to watch some games before we have educated opinions. The Auburn-Washington matchup intrigues me. Who do you like in that game?
-
I will not argue with you about the Big 10. There are quite a few good teams in that conference and some of them are likely to beat each other up and affect the rankings. As for conferences like the Pac 12, ACC, and the Big 12? Please. These conferences are weak in comparison to the SEC, wouldn't you say?

This might sound weird but the bolded indicates to me that he was crying out for help. The guns in the trunk were more than enough for suicide by cop. I applaud him for not taking his own life and harming the life of (or killing) a random police officer, or any other person. I pray that he gets better and receives the help that he so desperately needs. I I am sorry that you feel this way. Did you have a bad experience with the police when you were arrested?
