  1. I totally agree and this makes me NOT want to trade him. A tone has been set since Levy was GM that when a player, whether or not he is good (Benjamin is adequate at best) wants to leave, the Bills readily accommodate them. This HAS to change in order for the franchise to take that next step. You see, I just don't care if Benjamin is happy or sad. Same with McCoy or virtually anyone on the team. I can only guess..... I think that the Raiders ate his signing bonus and Dallas can cut him at any time with no penalty. This would make the deal more attractive but I agree that a 1st was too steep for me, and I think that when healthy, Amari is a very good player.
  2. Yes but we should be getting an earlier draft pick. Any top 5 corners out there?
  3. Who was run out of town? IIRC, Whitner earned 36 million over 5 years while playing mediocre football at best for the Bills. He even had the nerve to hold out before he signed and had a domestic incident at around the same time. Yeah, Poor Donte! People are unhappy with the Josh Allen pick? Really? Compared to the Whitner selection, Josh Allen resembles getting Brady in the sixth round.
  4. Do you give Florida a chance? They are improving but that's a tall order. I admit it.....I will be rooting for them.
  5. I heard a stat that the team is averaging 38 points per game......in the 1st half!!! Tua has 25 TDs and 0 ints and he has not played a down in the 4th quarter. The team is averaging more than 9 yards per play. Out of 480 minutes of football, the team has only been losing for 70 seconds. It would seem that nobody could maintain stats like this but, like the Tide or hate them; something very special is happening down there.
  6. UB has my full support. I hope that they continue to improve and turn into a national power. WNY truly does deserve some great football!!!!
  7. On Sirius they are talking up Clemson. You constantly bring up the Crimson Tide schedule but it is, imo, ten times as hard as what Clemson faces.
  8. Please list the better qbs in college today...…...
  9. Mississippi State is not a weak team. Fitzgerald is a very good college quarterback. I think that Miss. State could beat Purdue but that is jmo. Btw, this is NOT to say that they are better than Ohio State. OSU is stocked with talent and is a team I don't quite understand because I don't see enough of them. Tennessee will probably be good in a year or 2. Jeremy Pruitt is a very good defensive coach but he inherited a mess. They have had some recruiting problems. And btw Alabama can be beat. All they need are a few key injuries or even just a flat, bad game. What I will say about the Tide is that other teams gear up for big games. Saban has the team just play like they always do, or so it seems to me.
  10. How did that turn out?
  11. Your whining, and pouting jealousy is reminiscent of a spoiled 5 year old. The SEC is probably still the best conference. These teams look bad because they are playing Alabama. Average SEC teams such as Auburn would run Purdue off the field. Do you think that your beloved Penn State is in a class with Alabama? That is laughable but maybe they would be if they brought back that winning combination of Paterno and his boy Sandusky. Maybe if Paterno was alive Sandusky would still be a coach emeritus and continue to have an office at the stadium. That being the case, ya gotta love the progress PSU is making, no?
  12. How many trade offers do you think the Bills received for Peterman?
  13. Make no mistake, I like that. Tua and Jalen Hurts are saying the same thing in Alabama, and I prefer this way over getting in trouble. That said, one needs to be able to compete at the NFL level. They traded away a kid who has proven capable of being at least a decent QB and kept Peterman. Unbelievable.
  14. Yes, and maybe there was a clue to be had about Peterman after the worst performance in the history of NFL Football. Look, Peterman seems like a good kid and maybe McCarron is more self centered than Nate. I don't freaking know but McCarron was and is a better qb in every phase of his career. How anyone can defend cutting McCarron to accommodate his desires (at the expense of the team) is beyond my comprehension.
  15. I am not a huge fan of McCarron but he is 100x better than Peterman will ever be. You say he wasn't interested in being a mentor. OK, was Peterman a mentor? Please. Nate Clements wanted out. Levy made a "promise" to let him go and he did just that. I am tired of accommodating players. This is part of what is wrong with the franchise.
  16. Seriously? Accomodated? The Buffalo Bills are a football team, not a Hampton Inn. These players sign a contract to work here. This was a continuation of the Marv Levy stupidity. Players are not hotel guests. They are paid to do a job. Releasing McCarron or for that matter thinking that Peterman was even a fraction of him in terms of talent were idiotic moves that will cause harm to the franchise. I for one am not concerned when players "want out," nor should our leadership be.
  17. Of course you are 100% correct but more important.....I hope all is well!!!
  18. Probably very few, but it still was not smart of Mr. Process to pass on him and Watson to trade down and take a corner. That, imro, is a blueprint for losing football games for many years.
  19. This too makes sense. I saw some of the UCF game on Saturday. Do you remember when you and I were talking about Texas A&M? I think that A&M is WAY better than UCF but once again, that doesn't make me right.
  20. I see your point. I simply don't think that UCF is in a class with the top teams. Of course, this doesn't make me right.
