Everyone that wanted TT gone, we told you
Bill from NYC replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The point I often tried to make (and was shot down) was that Tyrod made the OL look better than they really were. Then of course we lost Incog and Wood and the bottom completely fell out. Couple that with lousy receivers and what a surprise, our rookie QB is injured. Not bad enough? Lets give a functional McCarron the boot and keep Peterman. But just in case, lets bring in an 80 year old qb who never was any good and put him behind center there with no blocking and no tools. Sounds about right, no? Yep, this is the 2018 Bills. If I said it once I've said it 1,000 times: Bills Fans are the best fans of any team in any sport. Who else would put up with this? -
The outside pass rush from both Jennings and Miller was the best we have seen this season. Also, everyone in the secondary had a great game. The running game really impressed me this week. Did you see Najee Harris? He was on fire! Sucks that he hurt his ankle but supposedly it isn't so bad.

Or a certain team which is not in a conference?
-
Perhaps but if that happens, fans of lesser teams will scream until there are 64 playoff spots. If they do expand the playoffs (and I am unsure where I stand on this), they really need to do away with conference championships. Jmo.

What Do You Think Of TE Jace Sternberger?
Bill from NYC replied to Bill from NYC's topic in College Football
He played very well against Bama. I saw him listed at 6'4"/250 and he looks fast. I am very interested in his combine numbers if he enters. -
He is a horror show but there is no use in getting rid of him now. None. The worst case scenario is that he tosses another 25 or so picks and we finish with a top 5 draft pick. The best case scenario is that he turns things around and wins a few games. Which would you prefer?

Does anybody care about Alabama games?
Bill from NYC replied to /dev/null's topic in College Football
How good do you think Burrow is? I ask because I have no idea. Can he run? Do you think the Tide can apply pressure rushing 4? -
None, and you really are either not getting it or trolling. This young man has brought about a change in Crimson Tide football. They have an old school coach who believes in running the football and playing defense that forces opponents to 3rd and long. Coach Saban wants his opponents to make mistakes and tries to force them. Now things are different. Tua has thrown touchdown passes on the first offensive play in 2 out of 8 games. Oh, and another one on the second play. Coach Saban has won 6 national titles without a great quarterback. 6!!! Now he has a superstar qb!!!!! Are you really trying to make some sort of a point? You should because you do seem to have a serious amount of knowledge about football.

Nate Peterman "I'm ready to go win a game"

Yeah, that was some game! Screen names start to look familiar to me after a while but today for some reason it struck me just how funny it is. Bills fan humor, ya know? -

2019 Mock Drafts and top prospects

Well, the bolded, given the losses and the coaching changes, could also be indicative of FUTILITY. Other than that, you and I am in perfect agreement. The Bills really should trade down if they get a good enough offer, which is probable. Other than qb (at least for now), every single position on offense is a glaring need. We absolutely need receivers and blockers in the worst way. This offense might actually be worse than the Bills team on which Alex Van Pelt started for a while and John, that is a low bar indeed. On defense, they need more pass rush and the best LB and DT are old. Call me crazy, but I think that a solid draft and some key free agents could make the Bills a contender. Oh, and thanks for the plug for Deonte Tompson. He can play but watch out for his soph partner, Xavier McKinney. The Bama team next year might be much better than this one, especially on offense. Can you believe it? Tua and 3 excellent receivers will be eligible to out in the 2020 draft, along with a slew of other talented kids. I will keep you posted about 2019. One player to watch in Ross Pierschbacher. He is an interior lineman and now plays center. He is big and strong and has a bit of an attitude. I want to see bench press numbers on Jonah Williams who looks great on the Tide before I take a stand in terms of a very early pick. -
I am very sorry to hear this. May God bless you and your loved ones and provide comfort during these times of sorrow.

Clemson? Alabama's schedule is 10x tougher than theirs. And I'm being serious.....I don't remember; in what month was their loss to Syracuse? You remember, the one where Swinney had the nerve to go in and address the Syracuse team after the game but I digress. Alabama deserved to lose to Auburn last year. They were flat out beat. You do however realize that they were missing their top 4 linebackers, right? The team that folks said should get the 4 spot was OSU, a team with 2 losses, one of them a 32 point blowout to a very mediocre opponent. If Alabama suffered that kind of loss to that kind of team, injuries or not, they would NEVER have made the playoffs nor even be considered. Btw, 2011? Really? They brutally destroyed LSU in the final. If they lose on Saturday (which certainly could happen), how far down do you think they should fall? LSU is ranked high because they are that good. You might disagree but I think that the middle of the pack SEC teams are every bit as good as the middle of the pack Big 10 teams. Imo the difference is the distance between these teams and the top of their respective divisions. Finally, you speak of money? Alabama is considered by most to be a downtrodden state. It is anything but rich and is sparsely populated compared to lots of other states, including most of those you mentioned. The Crimson Tide, unlike The Cowboys, Patriots, Notre Dame, and even Penn State doesn't have a strong national following. I am a fan because I was introduced to them as a little kid more than 50 years ago. TV ratings might even go up if they are out of the playoffs, or so I think. There are probably even idiots who think that it is racist to be a Tide Fan but these same morons would be shocked at the number of African-American Fans Bama has and how over the top enthusiastic they are. PS: As a fellow Bills fan let me suggest this: watch the wide receivers. I think they have 4 in the college top 20 and 3 are sophs, the other a freshman. Jerry Jeudy (#4) is impossible to cover. Imo he is already better than Ridley. Sometimes they put him in the slots and the other guys are wide open and Tua finds them. It's pretty amazing. Are you insane? Watching the Bills is like watching Alabama? Really? I wonder if anyone else on the planet thinks this! -
He sure looks good to me!
-
I think that Pruitt will be an excellent coach. The defense really responded well to him last year and Tenn. is going to get better.
-
They sound good. I have not seen them yet but I will check them out.

Yeah, he isn't known for having a great personality. He is just smarter and more cunning and organized than his competition. Then, he out-works and defeats them again and again. -

Brother, why pick on the Tide? Clemson has a much easier schedule and their entire conference is second rate. This season, Alabama will face Texas A&M, LSU, Mississippi St, Auburn, and Georgia (if Bama wins their division). This is not to mention a few other games vs. SEC teams. What conference do you think is very tough, the Big 10? I mean really? -
I hope Hurts doesn't go there next year.
