Hernandez Beaten, Abused as Child

This too makes sense. I saw some of the UCF game on Saturday. Do you remember when you and I were talking about Texas A&M? I think that A&M is WAY better than UCF but once again, that doesn't make me right.
-
I see your point. I simply don't think that UCF is in a class with the top teams. Of course, this doesn't make me right.
-
There is no possible way that UCF should get into the playoffs. If they were in the SEC they would finish somewhere around .500, perhaps below that. At least half in the SEC Teams are clearly superior to UCF. And before you bring up bowl games, they no longer matter and are little more than exhibition games. I am NOT in any way saying that Alabama will make the playoffs. Anything can happen but if in fact they get there and they were to play UCF, I would be the happiest guy in town. Alabama's 3rd team would destroy them.

Tre White is the Best Player On the Bills Now
Bill from NYC replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any time a corner is far and away the best player on an NFL Team, said team is in a sorry state. And yes, Tre White is the best player on the Bills. -
Where would this team be if AJM was the Day 1 starter?

Yep, the genius who passed on Mahomes and Watson so he could draft a cornerback decided that Peterman was better than McCarron. I wouldn't consider that to be such a great indicator against McCarron but that's just me. -
In a way, Damien has reminded me of Thurman Thomas for a long time. Now before anyone screams I am talking about style, not hall of fame ability. Damien isn't "great" at anything but he has some speed, is strong, is a great blocker, can catch, has very nice hands, is VERY smart, and for a kid with glasses, has a knack for seeing a hole. Again, he doesn't have super speed and he isn't close to being as strong as Derrick Henry, but he has a fairly quick first step. He would be a fantastic draft choice, but (imo) not in the first round. RBs lack importance these days.

Sorry, but I could not disagree more. I don't care one iota what McCoy wants. This was the Marv Levy GM method of appeasement and ass kissing. Exactly the above, (along with other stupid beyond description moves) left this team in shambles. If you are against trading him, great! But I wouldn't let him call the shots. Not ever. Of course, jmo.

Ya got me there. That said, I think that by the time the season is over, A&M will be respected as a quality team. Having Jimbo will help quite a bit. If there is a team to be cited for an easy schedule it is Clemson imo. I really doubt this. They might not even get in with 1 loss.
-
Your standards are pretty high, no? Both Texas and Notre Dame played for the title in the last 6 or so years.
-
They came within 2 points of beating Clemson. Does that tickle your sentiments?
-
Again, Texas A&M is a good team. The only time they looked bad was while losing to the Crimson Tide.
-
Not really. They have very tough games ahead and defensive issues to resolve.

Today I witnessed some of the best passing I have ever seen in college football. In prior Saban years, Alabama usually had that 1 great wide receiver, such a Jones, Cooper or Ridley. This team has no less than 4 tremendous wideouts, a slew of rbs who can catch, and 2 solid TEs. There might actually be more that we don't know about. That brings us to Tua. He has every skill a qb could ever want and he is just so smart. If he stays healthy he might be an all time great. The defense needs work but I'm sure Coach Saban is on it. ROLL TIDE!!!!!
-
This will be a tough issue to tackle. I don't know how fair it is to make kids play yet more games and risk losing all the money that awaits some of them. Also, what about the bowls? I have more questions than answers.
-
That is a good point but the regular season record should mean something too. If Alabama had lost to a so-so team by 33 points, do you think they would have made the playoffs?
-
You sure are critical of Alabama's schedule. Although Notre Dame did defeat Michigan and Stanford, they squeaked out wins against the likes of Ball State and Vanderbilt. I'm not sure how good Michigan and Stanford are, but I'm pretty sure that they are not as good as Auburn, LSU, and Georgia. Maybe ND is as good as you seem to believe. I don't know but as I said, I do hope that Alabama makes the playoffs and faces them.
-
Different world with Coach Saban, wouldn't you say? The Alabama 2nd team would probably destroy Notre Dame this season, and; I am not even going to make a prediction that the Tide will win it all. Anything can happen. Still, I do urge you to stay away from the TV if those teams do meet in the playoffs. I don't want you to suffer that kind of extreme pain. There is no real reason to put yourself through such torment.
-
I wish there were enough words to tell you how much I wish that the Crimson Tide would face Notre Dame in the playoffs (assuming that we make them). It would make the last time the 2 teams met for the title look like a nail biter. If it happens, it would probably be a good idea for you to not watch.
