  1. BB, as I think that you know, I am a life long Crimson Tide Fan. The Tide has 3 receivers who will have completed their junior year and will be draft eligible: 1) Jerry Jeudy At the rate he is going, he could easily be a top 10 pick. Picture Ridley x2. He is fast, impossible to cover, and has great hands, but: what really makes him stand out to me is his coordination. The kid is simply great. 2) Henry Ruggs Not a huge kid but he has one of the fastest 40 times in history. He also has great hands and moves. Not enough? He even blocks! You like Foster? This kid blows him away. 3) Devonta Smith He would be a well kept secret were it not for his catch for the title vs. Georgia. This kid runs precise routes and is always open. He also might have the best hands on the team. Imagine Josh Allen, with his tremendous skills, throwing to ANY of these kids!!!!! I dream of this BB. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I would welcome a trade down that focuses on the Bills getting and extra 1st round pick in 2020. BB, imo the 2020 draft could put this team over the top if it isn't bungled.
  3. There is zero doubt that watching Josh run is fun and very exciting, and; he has freakish talent. I was behind this pick from day 1. The thing is, the thrills I get from these great plays would pale in comparison to the anguish that I would feel if he got a serious injury because he had to run. He is a bigger target than Tyrod and many defenders, rule changes and all, have super human strength and are predators. I don't want him to forego the run entirely. It is way too valuable a weapon to not ever use. I just don't want him to have to run as often. His arm is also freakish.
  4. This is why we need to draft good blockers. Over the years I have not seen a huge amount of great blockers acquired by trade (unless you want to count the Bills trading HOF Jason Peters) or free agency. I am pretty sure our OL will be better this year, but they still need to dedicate early resources in he draft to give Josh Allen the protection he requires and deserves. What I don't want to see is Josh having to run for huge yardage. RBs don't last so I can't expect Josh to last if he is our leading rusher.
  5. Yes it would seem so, let alone at nose.
  6. Was that flag football or volleyball? Either way, the kid was on his way to being a great running back. Very sad.
  7. I still want the Bills to utilize draft resources on blocking, but it is hard to knock these deals that don't lock us in for years.
  8. Agreed. Even if Nsekhe turns out to be a very good backup, his deal is not excessive imo.
  9. You are correct. He came to Alabama at 265 pounds.
  10. This was a brave prediction, thanks. You might very well be right too but imo the Cards would be nuts to not draft him. Watch their attendance increase, and all that goes along with it (parking, beer, food, jerseys, etc). This is pure profit for an owner because the TV contract covers their payroll and operating expenses. Much of this is also in cash (not to imply that anyone would cheat on their taxes mind you lol). I completely expect Murray to go at #1 whether he deserves to or not.
  11. If we trade down I hope that we add picks for 2020.
  12. Thank you; that was an interesting mock. I have said before the Williams dropping to 9 is not impossible. They have a favorite of mine (Christian Miller) who sneaked into the end of the 3rd round. It is very hard to say when he will go but I would love to have him on the Bills!!! I agree wrt Sternberger. He is a project but a real football player imo.
  13. May God grant her a complete and speedy recovery.
  14. Thanks for the effort that you obviously put into this post. You do make some sense too, but I TOTALLY disagree with the premise of trading away the 2020 #1. I would not do this under virtually any conditions. Wait until you see the receivers in the draft next year! This is what I want for Josh. This and of course blocking.
  15. I figured that they were the easiest team to manage because they really should suck. I have a specific strategy in mind.
  16. Dolphins please.
  17. What do you think they will do in the early rounds?
  18. This player was undrafted, not retained by his original team, and then signed a one year deal. I never heard of him before. We seem to be very exited over this signing and I hope that he winds up in the Pro Bowl. That said, can someone tell me what specifically he excels at. Is he just so good that we should overlook OL help in the draft?
  19. I couldn't agree more, especially if moving up would involve picks from 2020. I already know of 3 wide receivers that are simply splendid and would tear up the field with Allen throwing to them. They will most likely enter the 2020 draft and I'm sure there will be other high quality wrs as well.. Quinnen Williams is a very good player and seems to be a wonderful kid but Josh needs blockers and receivers more than a DT.
  20. I don't really care what journalists say. The Bills pay millions of dollars to professional football people to build a team that we fans can watch win football games. I am tired of excusing decades of idiocy. That said, I was behind the Josh Allen selection from day 1. Lets hope that we will draft some protection and weapons for him so he can develop, excel, and win football games.
  21. Not at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I said, we all cope in different ways. Go Bills indeed. Lets hope for a sane, productive draft!
  22. To be fair, Bills Fans have numerous axes to grind if you will. We were injured wrt the Watkins trade. We gave away the store for a receiver and didn't have a quarterback. So much for trading up. We also walked right past Mahomes, traded down, and wound up with a first round corner. That was pretty stupid, no? My point is that Bills Fans (the greatest fans in the NFL by far imo) are still recovering from untold stupid mistakes. Not every fan is capable of being an ever present cheerleader in spite of all of the stupid mistakes. We all cope in different ways.
  23. I am not the one who made this claim but let us not forget the competition, shall we?
  24. I agree. Quinnen can play, and I have probably watched every snap of his career at Alabama. He should have fresh legs too because he didn't play that much until 2018. There are many more good things about this kid than there are concerns, but I'm not sure I would move from 9 to 2 for any DT under any conditions in the league today. As you say, the cost would be too much for what you would get in return imo. DTs do not dominate the way they used to because there is less running. There are no more Mean Joe Greene types who can dominate entire games, or at least none come to mind. It isn't what I prefer either mind you, just the reality of the current NFL.
