  1. You want this more than blockers and receivers? I don't believe you.
  2. We get it; you don't like the rule. That said, the rule exists. Do you live your life judging every rule and/or law, and then deciding whether or not you will break it? That is up to you. I don't like the NYS Tax system but if I cheat or break the rules, I would certainly suffer consequences. So, the future multi-millionaire couldn't wear a jacket? C'mon, lets all hit the crying rooms! You have any mood coloring books?
  3. No, from my perch I have no idea what his injury status is, and I would like to know where I indicated as such. I think that I was totally clear. I cited the fact that he was running, jumping, and catching passes. Does this mean that he isn't injured? No. Was this (imo) ill advised? Yes, absolutely. Again, there are rules. Judging from your few political posts I suspect that you might be more sympathetic to anarchy than I happen to be. Maybe if the kid was not putting on a pass catching clinic while out there injured, the coach who you seem to just hate might have overlooked the rule.
  4. Maybe the player isn't so bright either to run, jump, and catch passes before his teammates go out and put themselves at risk. Whether or not you happen to like it, the team has rules that this kid placed himself above. If I had millions waiting for me would I want to play? I can't speculate in all honesty having never been faced with circumstances like these. That doesn't mean that this kid is not a pampered, spoiled twit.
  5. Well, it sure does help much of the time, or so I think. The qb has to get rid of the ball and good play calling helps as well. Still, I agree with the above as written. The same would certainly also apply to cornerbacks running backs, and every other position (except QB), no?
  6. That's right, because odds sadly tell us that the Bills would have squandered the better draft picks be it by trade, or ill advised picks that lead to losses. I know that we say it every year but in the 2019, the Bills stand a great chance to do things right. They absolutely must give Allen weapons and protection and the opportunity is there if they are smart.
  7. Then they would have to defeat Georgia. They might have to under any conditions.
  8. >>>>>Bama getting ready for two total massacre wins in the playoffs<<<<< The above is what I was responding to. The Crimson Tide must play Auburn and Georgia. They are not a lock for the playoffs unless they handle their business against 1 good team and 1 great team. Why does it matter to you? It seems as if you have no respect for anything they accomplish, but hate will do that to ya.
  9. Not that time. If you were being objective it was the right call. They have Auburn and Georgia ahead. Unlike Clemson and others, they play quality teams. As for the Big 10, looking at these teams today it remains hard to tell how good anyone in that conference is but that is jmo.
  10. Any predictions?
  11. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. That's right. People with power, connections, and money NEVER go free. NEVER!!!!! Signed, Hillary and Bill Clinton
  13. Mike Williams was excellent in college. The man was huge and overpowered his opponents. He also had sloppy work ethics, a weight problem, and a chronic ankle injury. Now, an ankle injury is huge for any football player. For a 360 pound man it is devastating. Oh.....and he played Right Tackle. Drafting him at #4 was just plain stupid. As for McKinnie, you make him sound average and he was FAR from it. Was he as good as Orlando Pace? No. He was however a rock solid Left Tackle for the Vikes for many years and as I recall, he even played for another team when he got old and was still functional. The man was said to not have the best work ethic and some off field issues but he could flat out play. There is no doubt about this. A majority of the best left tackles were first round draft choices, many of them early. The Bills passed on them and other fine blockers time and again to draft running backs and secondary, and that is a huge reason for the 2 decades of losing.
  14. I know, right? The nerve of posters to state their views on a message board if they disagree with you!!!!! This defense is better than the 86 Bears and the old Steel Curtain and there is NO room for any discussion. Thank you.
  15. Coach, I tried but failed to see any racism in his post. I too am seeing lots of folks who I consider to be "punks" in the news these days and a huge majority are white people wearing masks. Does this mean that I am a racist? Peace! The worst part (imo) is that he looked back to see if the ref was watching. I wonder what his motive was. Seriously, has anyone explained that?
  16. McCarron was very good and quite efficient. He played behind the best college OL I have ever seen and as I said, The Tide was primarily a running team during his tenure. As a rule, Alabama had 1 great receiver and other good ones. Now, they have 4 great wideouts (3 sophs and a true freshman), a fantastic receiving TE and a blocking TE (who also catches TD passes). Several of their running backs also can catch. The team is now built to utilize the passing game. Anything can happen but at the rate he is going, Tua will be the best qb in an Alabama history which includes of course Bart Starr, Joe Namath, and Ken Stabler. The kid is THAT good. Great avitar!!!
  17. I used to cringe every time they put Tuel in there. Was he as bad as Peterman? I know he doesn't have the same interception stats (nobody does) but I remember thinking that Teul had almost no chance of completing a pass.
  18. Neither was a bad guy and neither was a good NFL quarterback. I feel more sorry for Peterman than I did for EJ because EJ made WAY more money as bad as EJ was; I doubt if he is in the record books as one of the worst ever. Good luck to both of them.
  19. How do you think they will do against Michigan? That could be an important game for Alabama.
  20. Btw, if you care to be objective, focus on Raekwon Davis (#99). He is held on virtually every play, and sometimes by 2 different players.
  21. Now there is a lovely accusation. I am a religious person and I cringe when posters mock Coach McDermott for allegedly preferring religious players. The point I was trying to make is that IMO, if a game is going to be fixed, it will not be by refs. I think that corporate interests (networks and advertisers in this case) would be the culprits and I cannot see any reason for them to favor Alabama. Can you? Probably so. I think that I have PTSD from Demetrus Bell. Remember him? He was fast and agile, and would get knocked on his ass on a regular basis. He did 9 reps with 225 at the combines. I hope you are right about Jonah. The kid is excellent and practices against Quinnen Williams every day.
  22. Like the aunt you mentioned, you too are dripping, in your case with with hate and jealousy but please, don't let me get in the way because it is rather amusing. Have you EVER seen Notre Dame play? If so, don't you think that they get quite a few nice calls? Are you telling me that the networks would rather see the World Champion, currently undefeated University of Alabama Crimson Tide than Notre Dame, who has a built in religious fanbase of tens of millions? Wake up if you will. Alabama is a small market team. They just happen to be great. As for teams like Texas A&M and Mississippi State, they are superior to many teams outside their conference. Coming into the game, MSU had the 2nd ranked defense in the country. Auburn? How did they look against Washington? These teams are every bit as good as the 2nd tier Big 10 teams. In fact, MSU reminds me a bit of Michigan. The talent is lopsided to the defensive side. In any event, enjoy your day. And do enjoy next Saturday locked in a sound proof room, so nobody can hear you cheer for your second rate team.
  23. The OL was good, not great. LG Lester Cotton was replaced several games ago with a kid who was doing quite well. He got hut and Cotton came back in and you could see the difference. Jonah looked good but I have never seen him look bad since he has ben at Alabama. He was even spectacular at RT at his size. Jonah is a perfect college LT but remember, he came to Bama as a 245 pound TE. Now this is great for coordination but can he keep the weight on to play in the NFL? Probably, but that (imo) is a risk for a top 10 pick. His weight lifting numbers at the combine will matter a lot imo but again, his balance and footwork would appear to be flawless and he practices every day against monsters. Nobody said that was a good call. Now, do you really think that Alabama gets more favorable calls than Notre Dame? Imo, a Notre Dame championship is exactly what the networks want, not another title for the Crimson Tide.
