  1. How many people did he have killed? How many accused rapists did he harbor? Did he call it a right wing conspiracy when his spouse inserted a cigar into a 22 year old kid? Hurry.......tell us how Hillary is totally irrelevant (the party line), even though her degeneracy is the main reason that Donald J. Trump is our president. His presidency is the direct fault of the democrats, who nominated this evil crooked degenerate to oppose him. PS: The current field of losers lining up for the dem. primary (which will probably include Hillary) looks even crazier than the last duo of disgust.
  2. It is very presumptuous. Julio is faster and a lot bigger and stronger. This aside, Ridley sure can play. Not only that, Saban often talked about how Calvin out-worked others. He also has a knack for getting open both in college and at Atlanta. This kid overcame a lot of misery in his life and having seen his entire college career, I am quite proud of him.
  3. Yes, Locksley is said to be a great recruiter and seems like a wise man. At Bama he stays upstairs and not next to Saban. Before the season he was peppered with questions about who would start at qb. He would not be lured in and said the decision was "over his head." The players seem to respond well to the man as well. I must however say that he was brought in to the OC job under extremely favorable circumstances. Coach Locksley obviously likes a vertical game and his team has receivers for it like none I have ever seen, let alone Tua and Jalen. Still, I have no way to really know but it appears to me that Saban gives Locksley more room than he has given past OCs, even more than Kiffen and Daboll. I wish Coach Locksley well and predict that he will be successful at his future endeavors.
  4. From what little I saw of him I came away impressed. If the Bills finish up with a high pick, the pick will increase in value, or so it would appear.
  5. I am shocked that Xavier McKinnie isn't on that list. He is an excellent player.
  6. My initial reaction is that it is not like free throw shooting because wrt passing accuracy there are just so many conditions to consider, to include various wind conditions, footing (grass or turf, wet or dry), protection, a qbs own mobility/escape ability, foot and arm speed, arm strength, can you take hits, and many other factors. The most important accuracy factor really might be to immediately identify the fact that your primary target will NOT be open and find the open receiver. This imo is what separates qbs like Brady, Brees and Manning from the pack. These guys are accurate because of their mental capabilities more than their physical prowess. Jmo.
  7. I don't think that most posters will be able to believe the bolded above. When you told me this in the parking lot before a game that this was going on I was sure that you were mistaken. Then I was sitting upstairs with a perfect view of Royal streaking down the field completely alone for the entire game. The defense did not even try to cover him!!! I never saw that before or after on a consistent basis. Have you ever seen this situation with any other professional player?
  8. Absolutely!!! Look at the DT from Houston! More and more players are going to do that and I am not going to judge them either because I don't know if I would be willing to risk a serious injury/25 million dollars or more. I'll go as far as to say that if Alabama didn't make the playoffs, I am not 100% certain how Coach Saban would feel about a players suffering serious injuries in a bowl game. I am NOT saying that he wouldn't care about the game, just that I don't know how happy he would be to risk a serious injury to say Jerry Jeudy in a game that meant nothing towards a national title.
  9. No sane college football fan would deny that you raise legitimate points. There are however other things to consider.... Not that you called for it in the post above but expanded playoffs would seem on paper to make things more fair, however this is football, not basketball. Just how many games do you think these kids can or should play. If 3 of 4 playoffs teams go to the title game, they will have played 15 games. Notre Dame will have played 14. Personally, I think that conference championship games should be eliminated. How many fans actually give a crap about conference championships? Alabama was the 4th seed last year and we know what happened. Should UCF have been put in that 4 slot instead of them? Seriously? College Football teams don't play equal schedules. I'm not sure that UCF would have 7 wins against Alabama's opponents. They might, but I'm not so sure. Also, who do you think is a better team, Notre Dame or Georgia? I would go with Georgia but they got beat up by LSU and lost to Alabama. Notre Dame was undefeated and does deserve to be in there imo, and I don't think they were given much of a shot before the season. I am NOT trying to be combative with this, but it is hard for me to understand exactly what you think would be a fair system. Again my friend, Alabama got in last year after a loss but they have a small fan base compared to many, many other teams. Also, UGA is better than ND imo and I'm not sure that its close. Still, Notre Dame is rightfully in the playoffs, no?
  10. Yeah, I have been a big fan of Jonah for many years. He has great technique and fast feet. Imo, he has a pretty decent floor, which I would deem to be Andy Levitre. Remember, Levitre was also LT in college and like Jonah, did not have great size. There are many here who will disagree but imho Levitre, when fully healthy; was one of the best guards we ever had. He wasn't a bruiser but he was especially gifted at and geared toward pass protection. This is what the game calls for in these times and what I can also see in Jonah. I look forward to his combine workouts, especially on the bench.
  11. If TEs interest you I would keep an eye on Jace Sternberger of Texas A&M. He was a JUCO transfer which is hard for me to understand because he is big, strong, and is pretty quick.
  12. They might, but how can one tell? They rarely play a decent opponent and when they do, they squeak out a win, right?
  13. Sure....I get it. Tell me, who does! They are one of the 4 best teams but 2 losses? I don't know...……...
  14. I was unimpressed by Oklahoma as well.
  15. That non call on Oklahoma for pass interference that just happened was a complete and utter disgrace.
  16. 2 questions if I may...... A) Exactly which OOC teams would you like them to play? B) Which powerful OOC teams do you think want to play Alabama? If the answer to these questions includes UCF, I might even jump on your bandwagon. At least Bama faces SOME good teams. Compare that to Clemson if you will and I'm sorry to whoever I offend but Notre Dame as well.
  17. This makes me proud to be a Bills Fan and a Crimson Tide Fan. I hope that he tears the NFL apart!
  18. I fully agree Promo. The last thing the Bills need to do is devote huge money to an aging running back.
  19. Agreed. Oklahoma gave up 40 or more points 5 times ( including the last 4 games) and needed overtime to beat Army. Now, OSU had some strange games too, but they gave up 40 or more only twice. Imo, on paper these teams look somewhat similar but there is NO WAY that the Sooners play a schedule that comes close to comparing with that of OSU. I admit that I have often thought that OSU gets favoritism from the media because of their large fanbase. It doesn't seem that way this year. I don't understand the appeal of Oklahoma to the committee, the networks, or the advertisers. The way it looks to me, the playoffs are (or should be) still possible for OSU but not unless the Tide beats Georgia. I don't see this as a given as so many others do. I am looking for a win but I am not certain it will happen. Good luck to both of us!!!
  20. Actually, I have held you in high regard as a poster for some time and was actually quite surprised to read such teary eyed, pathetic drivel from you, but; I look forward to talking more about football with you.
  21. Yeah, police shootings are always bad, right? Does he stand up for the people who are shot on a daily basis by criminals in Chicago? Please. [remarks about political figures excised]
  22. Before I say anything, let me make 100% clear that I am a huge, life long Alabama Fan. Were it up to me, Foster would NOT play on the Bills. Imo, he doesn't deserve it. I also would not want Kaepernick on the Bills. In fact, I would boo him at a game. You can hate me, my opinion or both. That's up to you but I have a right to an opinion. Can we agree on that? Now, as far as the Redskins, let me say the following.....I have seen every play of every game that Reuben appeared in at Alabama. If the kid had his head on straight (which he does not), he would be a superstar. The Skins have some really good players from Bama who no doubt told the GM just how talented Foster is. Go to you tube and type in Reuben Foster/Fournette, and you will see how hard he hits. He can cover, blitz, and stop the run. He is more of a LB than Kaepernick is a qb. This is why he was claimed. I agree with you that signing Foster would cost a team less money and fan support in the long run than signing Kaepernick. As a group, fans probably do despise Kaep more than Reuben, who certainly appears to be a criminal. The owners are there to make a profit. That's just the way it is. Little has changed, but if in fact there is a change, the owners were even more greedy before free agency.
  23. I agree and do however think that expanded playoffs in general would favor teams with: 1) The most depth. 2) The best coach. This would (imo) give an edge to Alabama and Ohio State. Again, what bothers me the most about expansion is the additional games. In fact, I wish they would abolish conference championship games even without expansion. Again, jmo.
  24. That is very interesting. How do you feel about this?
