Is Beane The Best GM We Have Had Since Bill Polian?
Bill from NYC replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that Butler was very talented but remember, with Mr. Wilson; his budget was not what the Pegulas would seem to be willing to spend. That said, I agree with those who say that it is a low bar. Beane will probably wind up being at least twice as good as the rest of them, and 1,000x better than Levy who was unthinkably bad as a GM in every possible way. -

I liked "In Treatment" but I seem to be alone here. -
Case Keenum traded to Redskins
Bill from NYC replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I fully agree and in the position they are in, I can't blame them. From what I can see the 2020 draft might be MUCH better than this one. I hope the Bills trade down and get more picks for 2020. -
Jussie Smallette (Alleged) Self Inflicted Hoax Assault
Bill from NYC replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in Off the Wall
I am not saying who you should vote for. If you can stomach voting for Hillary, etc. you should go for it. I AM saying that today, in this country, 6% is an utterly decisive win. Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania were extremely narrow victories. If I am not mistaken Hillary barely won Minnesota. The country is divided. -

EIL, 6% is a landslide these days. You know that. Check out how many states were very, very close in 2016. Of course, the dems did make them closer with votes from dead people and illegal aliens. -
Democratic Socialists: You Have No Case
Bill from NYC replied to The_Dude's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He "identifies" as Hispanic and posts selfies on social media in which he is in a dentist's chair with his disgusting mouth wide open. This a-hole is no more sane than the rest of these douchebags. -
Got it, thanks.

Top ten talent (Non QB) in the draft. Who ya got?
Bill from NYC replied to BuffAlone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have a good eye. Thompson does seem rather narrow on top and yes, his ball skills are good, probably better than Harrison's but; nothing close to Minkah imo. I expect him to be a good player but top 10 looks like a reach to me. And I know that bangers are more effective in college and Thompson is more of a cover man which is more suited for the NFL. He might go early because teams are letting their safeties enter free agency and he will cost far less. I wish him well but I don't think I would use a first round pick on him. Second? Yes, I suppose. -

If you are correct and Deionte Thompson is a top 10 talent, then this is a VERY weak draft. He is not even on the same planet as Minkah Fitzpatrick was coming out last year. Seriously, not remotely close. In fact, I don't know if he was much (if at all) better than Ronnie Harrison. They were the starters at Bama last in 2017 over Thompson. -
I'm surprised that they didn't trade up for Gilmore.
-
I know, right? Eddie Jackson, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Kenyan Drake, Jonathan Allen, Derrick Henry, and Da'Ron Payne also sucked.
-
That was a great video, thank you. Btw, Baron was a great player at Bama but there were 2 recent players that I thought hit even harder: Ronnie Harrison Reuben Foster I really do wish that Foster wasn't a thug. The kid was an absolute predator and imo would have been the best inside LB in football.

Or Guards.

Yeah.....I view Hightower as a real north/south ILB, much more that Mosely. In college, Hightower was leaner and could actually cover as well. Mosely was an all around player at Bama and was excellent in coverage. You are certainly correct in that there are a lot less spots for a purely physical LB.

Why do you think this? Imo he is good against the run and great in coverage. How about you?

Browns exploring trade offers for Duke Johnson
Bill from NYC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do they want to trade him? -
Agreed. I think that he was even something like 8-5 as a starter for a not so great Bears team. McMahon was said to hate him. Flutie was very good and Murray has a stronger arm. Is it as accurate? I don't know. Will Murray be a success? I don't know that either. But if I owned a team that picked first and needed a quarterback I would draft him because he MIGHT be very good and there are untold millions of dollars at stake. The owner will make back his salary within the first few weeks of the season, if not before. I will be shocked if Murray is not taken at #1.

I loved the old AFL. It really was great and much more fun than the NFL imo. Therefore, I will generally root for those teams against an NFC Team. None of those teams interest me to the point that I have a strong favorite. That said, I was an Alabama Crimson Tide Fan long before I was a Bills Fan. It isn't the same because it doesn't involve the pain of being a Bills Fan, and I'm not even joking. Even during their weak years the Tide managed to sneak in a championship. I want to live long enough to see the Bills win a title. My biggest reason is that I want the people on this board that I have known for more than 20 years to feel the happiness that they deserve. I hope that the win will involve Josh Allen throwing a game winning pass like the one Tua threw in 2018. I was up until 3 AM that night in pure bliss. Bills Fans have earned this kind of pure joy. PLEASE can we have a strong draft with no stupid mistakes?????!!!!!!!! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
