Bills hire Heath Farwell as ST coordinator
Bill from NYC replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They also could have selected Watson who still might turn out to be an excellent QB. Instead, they traded away the pick and drafted a cornerback. What is there really to dispute? -
I see your point to a large degree. Guards are usually not drafted so early but then they are, they are often good picks. Reuben Brown, David De Castro, Nelson, Branden Albert, and Steve Hutchinson come immediately to mind. Good coaching helps a lot, but our OL either stayed the same or got worse with Mouse McNally if you recall. And, high quality blocking almost never comes in a trade (unless you are getting them from the Bills) and rarely comes from free agency. I am not saying that they all need to be top 10 picks but the draft IS the place to get good, solid blockers.

Ditto! -
Good stats. I would like to see those numbers for the teams that made the playoffs.

Safety Deionte Thompson is declaring for the draft. Not that anybody should care but before the draft, I will offer opinions of all the draft eligible players from Alabama. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2807268-alabama-safety-deionte-thompson-officially-declares-for-2019-nfl-draft

Maybe you should just ignore me. I'm not sure but I think I will survive. -

What do you think he should say Joe? Andre was a great wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, right? He is watching the best player in the NFL destroy competition. McDermott handed said player to the Chiefs and drafted a cornerback. Why don't you let us know exactly what Andre Reed should say. -
Greg Roman promoted to OC in Baltimore

Daboll also might have helped out a bit by bringing Foster on board. -
It's amazing what this kid went through. Living in cars and welfare hotels after his mom abandoned the family. This kid was no 5 star recruit either. I watched him his entire career and he just kept getting better at really every category. And, he is a mellow kid, a complete gentleman or so it seems. As sad as I am to see him leave Bama I am happy for him and hope he makes millions of dollars. Hopefully, #1 recruit Trey Sanders will fill his shoes. This kid is already predicting that he will win the Heisman or "at least be a finalist." Saban will have to calm his a** down.

Jacobs will be great as an all purpose back. He is a quality receiver and would be a huge asset to Allen.

CB Trevon Diggs is returning to Bama for his senior year. He is an excellent player who was out this season due to injury.

Transfer Portal: Welcome to CFB free agency

DE Raekwon Davis has announced that he will return to Alabama. Frankly, his numbers fell this season and he looked a bit slower. I think that he has tons of talent and his decision will help the Crimson Tide and make him more money as is often the case with Bama players. His decision imo was brave and intelligent and I wish him complete success. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2807101-dl-raekwon-davis-to-forego-2019-nfl-draft-return-to-alabama-for-senior-season Absolutely! I only predict Texas because his family lives there. In terms of Locksley, you raise a great point but remember, Locksley was his 3rd OC at Alabama. -
Kyler Murray reportedly leaning toward NFL draft
Bill from NYC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in College Football
I believe he would go in round 1. How do you think he would fare in the NFL? I think that he has enough enough talent, but I don't know if his body could hold up at his size. As a Bills Fan, I hope he declares. It might give us a better chance of trading down. Are defenders doing the same? -
You are right Yolo and I apologize. Frankly I couldn't quite fathom a person not thinking that Tua is a splendid qb but yes, we are certainly entitled to our opinions. Seriously, sorry about that.

It was a matter of time. I am thankful that he stayed this year. I predict Texas. -
How long have you been waiting to post this? Seriously, you know a ton about football. Yours post are great and much anticipated. The above is SO beneath you. Look, Alabama got their clocks cleaned and deserved to lose no doubt. Now you want to criticize Tua, who was 2nd in the Heisman voting? Sounds like that is your problem Yolo, that he beat out your QB (and deserved to btw). LSU had a very good defense. Bama 29-LSU 0. Miss St. certainly had a top 5 defense. He beat them 21-0. The game was never in doubt and well managed. Against Georgia, Tua had a leg injury, a calf injury, and a serious ankle injury which still lingers. Again, I am NOT making excuses for the loss to Clemson. AND, I will gladly admit that he is surrounded by talent at every position which makes life easier for him. Still, this was his first full season. The kid is a fantastic QB who is smart, has a great arm. is accurate, and can (when healthy) even run. Fields? He couldn't even start for UGA and sat behind Fromme. He looks like more of a gadget player/running qb to me than someone who will ever be in a class with Tua. Perhaps I'm wrong. Either way, I have no axe to grind (ahem) and sincerely wish the Buckeyes and you personally good luck.......until if and when you play the Crimson Tide.

Do you play Purdue or Iowa?
-
Congrats to Clemson on a very impressive, well deserved victory. Thanks to the players who played their last game in Crimson. Thanks to Coach Saban, the GOAT. To the returning players: not to worry, the Crimson Tide isn't going any place but back on top. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come within 28 points to Iowa or Purdue and it just might happen. They should have replaced Bama with Purdue?
