I thought that the largest legal bookmaker was the state of California. After all, who books the numbers, etc.? What they do in Delaware sounds like a good idea but the State of New York screwing something up isn't something I cannot visualize. Are you familiar with NYC OTB? They lost money booking horses.

It depends. If the betting is controlled by the state, I think that the fraction of which you speak might add up, especially in certain other states (perhaps Wisconsin for example). I am not against it, but I wouldn't want to get ripped off on the point spread if I was making a wager. And if I was a bettor, I wouldn't bet against the Bills under any conditions.

What do you think the Bills record will be this season?

Interesting post. Over the last 20 or so years, I usually expected the Bills to improve until I watched them bungle draft after draft. This year I have high hopes at quarterback. With a strong draft and of course no serious injuries to Allen, I think that they will go higher than 7. -

The draft could push us into the playoffs if done in a sane way imo. I think that we both can agree that 6-8 wins would be quite depressing. -
It is very hard for me to rate Smith. He made some great catches and was open quite a bit, but I don't know how much of that was due to being surrounded by 4 actually great wide outs. Which one would a defense take coverage away from to cover Smith? Jeudy? Waddle? Devonta Smith? Ruggs? As I said, he made some awesome catches and is a gamer. I think he could find the end zone in Buffalo. The question will be in what round should/will he be selected.

Josh is very talented and a great kid by all accounts. He got his scholarship offer from Bama at the last minute. He had a really sad, difficult life but stayed out of trouble, worked his ass off and kept getting better. You could tell just how much Saban likes him. Given the above, I must point out that he was never really a starter at Alabama, or at least not the feature back. I would love to have him (or Damien Harris) on the Bills, but not at #9. That would be much too early imro.

The pregame posts that she wrote were the best I have ever seen in any type of media outlet. She had stats, including those of previous matchups dating back for years. Her posts were perfectly written and she studied both teams. Lori was also able to incorporate her pleasant personality as well as humor into her posts which is not always easy to do. I tailgated with her many times and can tell you that she is a wonderful person as well.

I don't think so. -
The above makes complete sense to me. Before that draft Darnold would have been my top pick, and it wasn't that close. The order of my favorites for the Bills was: Darnold Allen Mayfield Rosen Now, one year later; the jury is still out on who will be the best but I am perfectly happy with Allen. I'm sorry but how could one not be happy about his arm? Imo his arm strength compares to that of Bledsoe in many ways. The kid can run as a weapon and to get out of trouble to boot. In short, his ceiling is sky high. Can I guarantee that he will be better than Darnold? No I cannot but we have needed a kid with his talent for quite some time and now we have him. The front office owes it to him and the fans to get out there and draft him some more protection. Damn, now I'm getting all riled up. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It reminded me of Jauron. At one point Schobel was our only pass rusher (and a vastly underrated one at that). Jauron sometimes had him line up SO wide he was close to the sideline. I could never figure out why. On some other plays he would drop into pass coverage and there was absolutely no pressure. The Bills signed Mario for close to 100 million to sack quarterbacks and he did just that. Dareus was a 340 pound DT, not a cornerback. Wow, the things we had to put up with..........
