  1. May God grant her a complete and speedy recovery.
  2. Thanks for the effort that you obviously put into this post. You do make some sense too, but I TOTALLY disagree with the premise of trading away the 2020 #1. I would not do this under virtually any conditions. Wait until you see the receivers in the draft next year! This is what I want for Josh. This and of course blocking.
  3. I figured that they were the easiest team to manage because they really should suck. I have a specific strategy in mind.
  4. Dolphins please.
  5. What do you think they will do in the early rounds?
  6. This player was undrafted, not retained by his original team, and then signed a one year deal. I never heard of him before. We seem to be very exited over this signing and I hope that he winds up in the Pro Bowl. That said, can someone tell me what specifically he excels at. Is he just so good that we should overlook OL help in the draft?
  7. I couldn't agree more, especially if moving up would involve picks from 2020. I already know of 3 wide receivers that are simply splendid and would tear up the field with Allen throwing to them. They will most likely enter the 2020 draft and I'm sure there will be other high quality wrs as well.. Quinnen Williams is a very good player and seems to be a wonderful kid but Josh needs blockers and receivers more than a DT.
  8. I don't really care what journalists say. The Bills pay millions of dollars to professional football people to build a team that we fans can watch win football games. I am tired of excusing decades of idiocy. That said, I was behind the Josh Allen selection from day 1. Lets hope that we will draft some protection and weapons for him so he can develop, excel, and win football games.
  9. Not at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As I said, we all cope in different ways. Go Bills indeed. Lets hope for a sane, productive draft!
  10. To be fair, Bills Fans have numerous axes to grind if you will. We were injured wrt the Watkins trade. We gave away the store for a receiver and didn't have a quarterback. So much for trading up. We also walked right past Mahomes, traded down, and wound up with a first round corner. That was pretty stupid, no? My point is that Bills Fans (the greatest fans in the NFL by far imo) are still recovering from untold stupid mistakes. Not every fan is capable of being an ever present cheerleader in spite of all of the stupid mistakes. We all cope in different ways.
  11. I am not the one who made this claim but let us not forget the competition, shall we?
  12. I agree. Quinnen can play, and I have probably watched every snap of his career at Alabama. He should have fresh legs too because he didn't play that much until 2018. There are many more good things about this kid than there are concerns, but I'm not sure I would move from 9 to 2 for any DT under any conditions in the league today. As you say, the cost would be too much for what you would get in return imo. DTs do not dominate the way they used to because there is less running. There are no more Mean Joe Greene types who can dominate entire games, or at least none come to mind. It isn't what I prefer either mind you, just the reality of the current NFL.
  13. Christian Miller - OLB - Alabama (of course lol) He was a redshirt senior and it took him a few years to really develop. Imo he is on his way up. He is very fast, has extremely long arms and is noted for his high jump. This kid is highly intelligent and already an excellent pass rusher. When Miller gets a lane to the QB he is there in an instant and I have seen him come through in the clutch. He will probably add a few pounds in the NFL and get stronger. His upside is huge, or so it appears to me. I would be extremely happy to see him sacking Brady while wearing a Bills uniform!!!
  14. Absolutely!!! One of the hits was from Phil Hansen on an unblocked, straight line bull rush. I thought that he would be carted away, literally.
  15. Any crying fits lately? Up your Abilify Joe.
  16. Days when your meds are working and you are spewing less stupid and boring posts.
  17. I agree with your choices. It seems that we are talking about the first round, so I am going to toss in ANY defensive back or running back. Selecting one of these would be to repeat the stupidity that has haunted this organization for decades. Even if the defensive back is "good," the team will continue to lose. Admittedly, the rookie cap makes it just a bit less awful than before but dbs and rbs in round 1 would be a horrid waste of resources for this team.
  18. Yeah lol....the screeners used to put me right through. I once expressed concern to the Coach about Jeff Wright at NT. To this day he is listed at 274 pounds. I think that he was lucky to weigh 260. He told me that my concerns were invalid but we did have many good conversations. He made some good points about Levy to be honest. I also called some other WGR guy from my hotel on the morning show before a Colts/Bills game which you attended, many years ago. The guy was telling me that the Bills would probably lose because of the Colts defense. I freaked out on the guy and he seemed all puzzled. The Colts were undefeated but we had Bruce and Bryce. It was the year Bryce wound up being Defensive MVP. As I know you recall, this was THE most violent football game I ever saw. Harbaugh was the QB and he took hits that would have brought down buildings. I always respected Harbaugh after that game. I think that he was sacked 6 times and each hit was more brutal than the last one. I have a picture somewhere with the Coach at the stadium. One of my crew told him that Bill from NYC was there and he came over to shake hands. My friend Jerry told people in Lot 1 that I was Bill from NYC and they actually knew who I was. Great days, and I am going to do all I can to make it to Buffalo AND Tuscaloosa next year. I went to the Ralph 15 or 16 times. I'm due to see the Tide.
  19. Blocking. I know that I am a broken record but it is even more important now. We have a young, mega-talented quarterback. He needs protection and a better running game to properly develop and better blocking would provide both, along with increased time of possession.
  20. 2020 will be the year of the wide receiver. There are going to be great ones coming out.
  21. Other Bills teams neglected the OL when we had a QB who could run his way out of trouble (Flutie and Tyrod come to mind). I hope that McBeane does not repeat these stupid mistakes that cost us to lose countless football games. Josh Allen is extremely talented and he needs to be given better blocking and better weapons in this draft. I want to see the Bills play with a lead and then punish their opponents. It sure is about time.
  22. Agreed, and this is a very good thread. I think that Dawkins is a good LT. By no means dominant mind you but good. Do you think that the Bills will want to sign him when his contract expires and give him 15 or 20 million per season to play LT? I am thinking maybe not. If they can find a LT with a higher ceiling in the draft I want them to go for it. I always thought that Dawkins would make a top quality Guard.
  23. I completely agree. At many tailgates I hung out with Lori and Badolbilz. It was like standing between 2 sports encyclopedias. They know college football just as well as they do the NFL, and neither was ever smug about it. Good times.
