Thanks to the OP for a well researched post. I know that he might not fit in our defense, but Christian Miller is a fine pass rusher. He is a classic "tweener," and a team is about to get very lucky when they draft him. He is a very intelligent kid and has great moves. There are quite a few videos of him on you tube. It have no idea why he wasn't drafted yet.

I am thrilled by this pick. He looked great on the tape they showed. I have the Alabama game on tape so I can and will watch it and focus on him on every play. This was a very smart move imo!!!

I am about trading down and getting a 1st rounder for 2020. Do you think that we could trade down and still get him 10 or so spots later?

To quote my man Bill Lumberg, "I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree." It is much smarter to bust on a quarterback than it is to squander picks on players like Donte Whitner. Selecting Jones raised a lot of eyebrows, but sadly we have seen WAY dumber moves. C'mon, really.

Overall, I am not thrilled by the pick. This is just a gut feeling, NOT an all knowing proclamation! The jacket incident concerns me just a bit (not a lot). I am more concerned with the size issue and the fact that because he played against such poor competition he would seem to be untested. I guess this would indicate a low floor but who really knows. What I did notice last night is that trade downs didn't fetch big prices, or so it seemed. To be honest, I think that this is a very weak draft. JMO!!!!!!!

They even traded up to get a safety! I wouldn't do that unless my team was stacked at virtually position, and I thought that the safety was the next Ed Reed.

Jumbo Elliot wasn't so bad either. I also heard that Art Shell was decent.

If the Bills, under any conditions, take a defensive back in round 1, it will be utterly catastrophic, perhaps even in a class the Whitner selection . It will be Levy/Jauron world once again. If this happens, a large portion of posters here will be dead by the time the Bills win a super bowl, if they ever do. We need to develop our mega talented quarterback by providing him with better protection and weapons instead of playing "not to lose." That said, I am WAY more under control as time passes, and you will not see a meltdown from me if they once again waste a #1 with another ticket to the defensive back merry-go round of losing football games.

Great post!!! The first link is 100% on the money, and I have been saying this for weeks. There will be 3 receivers coming out of Alabama next season that range from very good to excellent. This is only 1 school mind you. The 2020 draft will be chock full of talent at skill positions, to the point that I hope that we trade down and pick up an extra 1st for next year.

I want an offensive lineman, but not Dillard. The PAC 12 is weak at the OL and DL positions. My fear is that he will crumble when going up against pros, like the guy who had the problems with Incog. The Bills could probably trade down (hopefully into 2020) and find a high quality blocker late in round 1. That said, I doubt if they go in this direction, although it makes 100% sense to get better protection for Allen, who might be the face of this franchise for a decade or more. Yeah, I am thinking they will grab the 3rd, 4th, or even 5th DL selected. And laugh if you will, but Greedy Williams (probably after a trade down) would not shock me. Not one bit.
