  2. Peters was great. He was one of the best players in the history of the franchise and they wouldn't pay him. I truly did enjoy watching him play!!!
  3. You better think twice, About leaving me behind, Make up your mind, About what you're gonna do. You, take my advice, Oh woman you got to choose, Take a little time, You got nothing more to lose.
  4. Nobody could deny that Watkins is a talented player. My thing is that he cost too much to obtain. FAR too much, especially for a team that needed a QB. Whaley was a scout, and probably a good one. He was a horrible GM. If he was any good, he would have a job in the NFL. I would be utterly shocked if he ever gets another GM job. His poor body of work just stares you in the face.
  5. Probably not and I hope that some apologists can now admit that he was an absolutely terrible draft choice, tons of talent notwithstanding. He cost us 2 first round picks and a 4th (for good measure I suppose), this on a team with huge problems at quarterback. To this day we hear about what a great "evaluator of talent" Whaley was. I was 100% against that trade and even I recognized how extremely talented Sammy is. It wasn't hard, but we gave away the store for him. Sammy was a flat out stupid draft pick/trade for the Bills and Whaley's time in Buffalo was marked by a lack of discipline and tossing away important draft picks. McBeane may have their issues mind you but I prefer them tenfold over Whaley.
  6. Surf's up mm-mm-mm, aboard a tidal wave. Come about hard and join, the young, and often spring you gave. I heard the word, wonderful thing, a children's song. Heavy and disturbing lyrics my friends.
  7. Woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand. Whose wine, what wine, Where the hell did I dine? Must have been a dream, I don't believe where I've been, Come on, let's do it again.
  8. At least if you get locked up for not looking at the stars you won't have to post bail.
  9. If I gave you everything that I own, and asked for nothing in return, Would you do the same for me as I would for you? Or take me for a ride, and strip me of everything, including my pride? But spirit is something, that no one destroys.
  10. That makes sense. Am I wrong, or does this indicate that a mixed breed non-pit is the statistically safe way to go, and perhaps even the best way all around?
  11. Assuming that these stats are true, don't you find it remarkable that only 17 deaths were caused by those listed as "mixed breeds?" Is it beyond dispute that there are more mixed breed dogs than pure breads, or am I missing something? In any event, if these stats are true they make a very strong case for getting a mixed breed dog, along with the humane factors.
  12. Soft and low, the music moans, I can't stop thinking about you, Thinking 'bout you, I didn't know it would be so strong, Waiting and wondering about you. I didn't know it would last so long, Nights are forever without you.
  13. I suppose genetics don't mean much to you.
  14. How many people are alive mainly because they take statins or other cholesterol drugs? I am not THE biggest fan of Big Pharma but I think that the above is a legit question.
  15. If the Bills get a tall wider receiver in free agency (Green?), I hope that they draft Henry Ruggs. He will more than likely be the fastest player in the NFL from day 1. Ruggs can run as far as Josh can throw it and get downfield in the blink of an eye.
  16. Daddy made whiskey and he made it well, Cost two dollars and it burned like hell. I cut hickory just to fire the still, Drink down a bottle and be ready to kill.
  17. Crazy cat peekin' through a lace bandanna Like a one-eyed cheshire, like a diamond-eye jack A leaf of all colors plays a golden-string fiddle To a double-e waterfall over my back
  18. Think about it, there must be higher love, Down in the heart or hidden in the, stairs above. Without it, life is wasted time, Look inside your heart and I'll look into mine.
  19. I couldn't sleep, I went on crying, And I saw the risin' of the sun. All night long my heart was crying, You're the one (you're the one), You are the one, you're the one. Youngblood, Youngblood, Youngblood, Well I can't get you out of my mind.
  20. Jedrick Willis is a fine player. He did play the blind side for Tua. I am guessing that I have seen every play of his career. I do however warn that he jumps early and gets penalized WAY too much, and I have seen him do it at crucial times. I don't know if the problem is concentration, whereas I heard him speak and he doesn't sound dumb by any means. He has driven Saban nuts a few times, to the point of being ready to explode. I hope that he can fix this issue but once again, I don't know what the problem is.
  21. I take a walk outside, I'm surrounded by some kids at play I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear Oh and twisted thoughts that spin 'round my head I'm spinning, oh I'm spinning, how quick the sun can drop away And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass Of what was everything All the pictures have all… And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass Of what was everything All the pictures have all been washed in black Tattooed everything
  22. Many have I loved, and many times been bitten Many times I've gazed along the open road Many times I've lied, and many times I've listened Many times I've wondered how much there is to know Many dreams come true, and some have silver linings I live for my dream, and a pocket full of gold Mellow is the man who knows what he's been missing Many, many men can't see the open road
  23. Dave, after McKelvin was selected, look who went in 2 of the following 4 picks. Seriously? Remember, we had NO blocking in those days. Zero. The Bills were a weak, pansy ass team. The only good blockers we had during those bleak years we let walk away as free agents. No, wait.....we also traded a Hall of Fame Left tackle. Clady and Albert were excellent blockers. We didn't want them. We wanted a cornerback. Mahomes and Watson (admittedly my choice at the time) were very good QB prospects. Instead, we took a cornerback and I would not care if he was the equal to Mel Blount (which he is not), it was a stupid move. As Badol said (in so many words, more of the same).
  24. The thing is that many of the Bills idiotic moves over the years have had a long term negative impact on not only the franchise, but also the fanbase. When the Bills passed on great linemen on both sides of the ball (HUGE needs at the time mind you) to draft Whitner and then McKelvin, these unthinkably dumb moves pretty much buried any chance at a Super Bowl, let alone playoff appearances. In the case of trading away from Mahomes (and Watkins) for a defensive back, it is rather early to assess just how much damage was done. I am thrilled that we do have Allen. He is a talented, exciting player to watch. The thing is, if he doesn't pan out, this could go down as one of the dumbest moves in NFL history. I mean it is possible. The above is why I am not surprised when the past blunders are mentioned by posters, and the ones I listed barely scratch the surface.
