  1. One of the better sentences in the history of TSW. Thank you.
  2. I am not a moderator and have no right to tell you what to post. This is clear, right? I think that perhaps you and Augie might be on the same page more than you might think. I have seen his posts for years and like most posters, I agree with some and disagree with others. I get the impression that you have lived through you share of hard times. So have I, whereas I have seen more evil and ugliness than most could ever imagine, ever. Augie has lived through some times that I would not wish on my worst enemy. He is not asking for anything but the man deserves some room if you will. Thank you if you will at least consider this.
  3. I have even more compassion for family members of mentally ill addicts. I know a married couple for more than 50 years. We grew up together. I cannot say enough good things about these two. They are loving, caring, kind, brilliant, spiritual, very successful, wonderful people. They don't even drink, let alone anything else. Their daughter is a heroin addict. She has been clean for 5 years but I saw the toll that it took on these fantastic people. At one point it looked like a matter of time before their daughter (who I love and held as a newborn baby) would OD and die. Everyone is doing GREAT now, but I still sense an uneasiness from the parents. It is just so sad. What Hamilton did to his daughter is inexcusable. He needs to go to jail, hopefully for a long time. He threw away a chance to be the very best hitter in baseball. He could have been Ted Williams/Stan Musial great imo but again, I have far less sympathy for him than I do for his daughter and I ask God to soothe her.
  4. Close enough to see Whaley, Rex, Levy/Jauron, Brandon, and all the other losers in the background.
  5. This is certainly a fair question. I believe we are better situated at QB and on both lines. I also think that the 2020 draft is chock full of wide receivers which I continue to think is a glaring need. I think that the Bills are well situated to make the playoffs this season and a MAJOR move in 2020. And I am glad that Whaley is not there to squander our best resources.
  6. 2 #1s (including a #9) and a 4th for a receiver when we had no quarterback CB. I mean seriously...... The man gave away the store. He had no business holding the GM position. Tell me please.....if he was any good, dontcha think someone else would have hired him?
  7. Absolutely. Can you imagine how pissed off I was when he traded down, passed on 2 QBs, and drafted a corner? I mean really. (And btw I wanted Watson and don't claim to have wanted Mahomes) Still, he kept enough draft capital to grab a QB at #7 and grab other players that he wanted. The Bills should be in a position to draft a superb receiver no matter where they pick in 2020. Oh, and we are 5-2. Your fine articles would indicate that the Bills are finally going in the right direction. I agree!!!
  8. I was going to come up this season but did so over the summer instead. The GF had never been to the Falls. Next season sounds like a plan!
  9. Maybe not but he sure is correct. Whaley, Rex, Levy/Jauron, Brandon......how many horror shows should we fans be forced to endure? If this administration chooses not to toss around picks like amateurish, inept drunken sailors (ala Whaley), then more power to them. If they saw no bargains and stayed home, good for them!!!!!. I just gained a substantial amount respect for McDermott. We don't need more clowns in our organization.
  10. I am not crazy about their coach or their freshman QB but I think that Auburn is in a position to do some damage. They can't get into the playoffs, but they are good enough to bump some teams out of the playoffs. I also think that Georgia is WAY better than many think. I'm not sure what their problem is but they have real talent. I like Kirby Smart but at times I wonder....... Obviously, the above is jmo.
  11. Great job Pete!!!
  12. He doesn't play anybody. That entire conference is a joke.
  13. Well my mama told me, my papa told me too. Well my mama told me, papa told me too, Well I wouldn't be here tryin' to sing these railroad blues. Wish I had listened to what my mama said, Wish I had listened to what my mama said, Well I wouldn't be here tryin' to sleep in this cold iron bed.
  14. Sadly, you are probably correct. In a perfect world, I would love to see the Bills sign him for 2 or 3 years at 10 million or so per season but I do understand that this is highly unlikely.
  15. Oh absolutely!!!!!! Are we going to have 90 million in cap space in 2020 or did I dream these numbers up? If so, I would like to see him sign with us, but for less than the 17.7 mil. he is due to receive from Cincy.
  16. I wanna say to my sisters and brothers, keep the faith. When the storm flies and the wind blows, Go on a steady pace. When the battle is fought and the victory's won, We can all shout together "we have overcome!" We'll talk to the father and the son, When we make it to the Promised Land.
  17. I don't know, is he? Since 2014 he reached the 1,000 yard plateau all of once (with 1,003). His other totals were 696, 517, 299, and 715. These totals don't meet my definition of an "absolute stud." I like him, don't get me wrong but I don't think of him as a true #1. After what seems like a million years, the Bills used their best resources on a quarterback. We need to give him better tools to work with. If you think Brown is great, imagine him as a #2.
  18. Yeah....I'll take it a step further and say that we also need to draft a running back.
  19. We have a young quarterback who has an absolute cannon. We drafted him at #7. He has a group of receivers that are mediocre at best. I'm sorry, I can't wrap myself around how improving the receiving corps is not our top need. For years and years I have been on this board screaming and begging for blockers. Not any longer whereas talented receivers is a dire, make or break need for this team. Jmo.
  20. The Harris Teeter in NC did remind me a bit of Wegmans in that both are clearly superior to downstate supermarkets. This summer I was in the Wegmans in Williamsville and actually found a 4 pack of 16 ounce Collective Arts Life in the Clouds IPA. I think it cost me 13 or 14 dollars too but who cares? THAT is what I call a super market!!!
  21. If all you got to live for, Is what you left behind, Get yourself a powder charge and seal that silver mine. Lost my boots in transit babe, A pile of smoking leather. Nailed a retread to my feet, and prayed for better weather.
  22. How do you like Harris Teeter? There is one near my daughter in VA that I would consider good, and one in a NC suburb of Charlotte that I have been to many times and am more impressed with.
  23. Oh, I hear ya. We all do have a right to be impatient too after all of these years. I think that with a few smart moves, 2020 can be a HUGE year for us. I am NOT giving up on this season but I do wonder if Josh has the right tools.
  24. Sorry BB but imo there is no DT who is worth a 1st and a 4th, and if there was one he would not be 31 years old. We desperately need quality receivers, and I am not sold on Green at too high a price either. In the 2020 draft, high quality WRs will be falling from the sky. We need a running back too. We should absolutely stock our QB with quality weapons and see how good he is, and we can do this. It is fun blaming Daboll for all of our ills but the truth is that we have a young, inexperienced QB who lacks the proper supporting cast. Jmo.
