  1. I had not seen this thread and I find it to be amazing. Every woman I have ever talked to about computer dating tells me what a horror show it is for them, and I have been hearing story after story for many years. Having said that, all of them are over 40 years old, and some are older than 50. My male friends tell me that it is just so simple for men on these various dating sites. Think about it.....50% of the men out there are married. Probably 5% are gay, perhaps more. 15% are alcoholics. 10% drug abusers? Does that sound OK? At least 5% are various kinds of perverts. 5% are scammers, and I am being kind. 5% Compulsive gamblers? Now, who is in and out of jail? Who is violent? Who would prefer the daughter of the woman? Who is on heavy medication? Who is still in love with his ex? Who doesn't want to work? And of course, some of the above suffer from 2, 3, 4, 5, or more these issues. My point is that there are very few normal men out there. If I was not in a serious relationship there is an unlimited supply of women out there, and NOT because I am so great. But if you look OK, have some cash, can hold a conversation, have a sense of humor, and are a decent guy, you are in a HUGE minority. Believe me, when the day comes that I am such a bargain, it is a sorry state of affairs LOL!!! Guys, just have confidence. You will do better in your 50's and even 60's than you did at 30. You won't be getting the 10s any more but you will have a very good selection. There is no competition.
  2. How am I not dealing with it? They did NOT deserve to make the playoffs this year having given up that amount of points, and without Tua. The things that I listed above were real events, including the lack of a great nose. Alabama has lots of titles and will win more at some point. I am just fine, thanks.
  3. You are the love in my life, You are my inspiration. Just you and me, Simple and free, Baby you're everything I ever dreamed of. Give me your own special smile, Promise you'll never leave me. Just you and me, Simple and free, Life is so easy, when you're beside me.
  4. After Da'Ron Payne and Quinnen Williams, they lacked that star player at nose. This is very important in a Saban defense. The top rated defensive end in the country coming out of high school lost his mind and didn't play. Oh, and their 2 stand out ILBs were lost for the season in training camp. Not bad enough? The top ranked freshman running back in the country was also injured in camp and lost for the season. Yeah, I suspect that Trey Sanders would have helped time of possession just a bit. Still, the team worked hard and tried. It's not as if our coach was Urban Meyer, whose wife said he was laying on the floor trying to cry after Coach Saban beat him. Good luck with OSU in the upcoming weeks. They do look strong and I hope they don't have their yearly meltdown.
  5. I think that Atwater was a freak KTD. The Denver defense was really all that and Elway got all of the publicity on that team but Atwater was big, fast, and vicious; just a complete great safety. I really am shocked that he wasn't enshrined years ago.
  6. Fans and especially announcers spend large portions of their lives dreaming of playoffs sans Alabama. It gives them a wider audience. Texas a 9th ranked team? We both know that they pretty much suck. I view them as comparable to Tennessee. I mean really. In fact that entire conference pretty much sucks. Again, injuries to key players (to include 2 top 10 freshmen and 2 ILBs) and the lack of a nose truly did hurt Alabama, let alone the loss of Tua. I'm the first to admit this. Do I think that under these conditions that they are as good as Ohio State? Nope. But they absolutely are better than anyone in the Big 12 or the PAC 12. Much better. Utah and Oklahoma combined could not stop the Tide's 4 great receivers and Auburn would destroy either of those teams. Once again, jmo.
  7. Kirby, I'm not sure why everybody thinks that this game will be so easy for Alabama. Just like I do with the Bills, I watch every play of every Bama game. They have a weakness this year and it is at nose. Gone are the days of Da'Ron Payne and Quinnen Williams. Saban defenses really need a strong nose, one who is also a penetrating pass rusher. This situation was made worse by the injuries to BOTH inside LBs who were lost for the year in camp (one was very good, the other great). The freshmen are studs but are still learning a very complicated system. Also, it should not take 4 scores. Alabama is better than Utah. The Utah defense is supposedly good, right. Do ya think that Utah can cover the Bama receivers. Seriously Kirby? Oklahoma? They beat them with a much better quarterback than Hurts, and the Sooners have zero defense. My point is that a decisive win should really get Alabama in, not 4 scores. Hey, if these other teams are so wonderful, Ohio State Fans should WANT to play the Crimson Tide, no?
  8. I think that Georgia, A&M or Auburn would destroy Minnesota. Once again, jmo.
  9. You forgot Texas A&M. If you have time, look at their schedule. The Aggies are a dangerous team and imo they would feast on the likes of Minnesota, and virtually every team in the Big 12, including Oklahoma. I do agree that the Big 10 is making progress on the SEC (although I'm surprised at how Wisconsin fell) but I still think that they have a considerable amount of ground to make up. Jmo, and a fun topic I dare say!
  10. I'm not a fan of his nor Malzahn but the team is always talented, and Derrick Brown is a freak.
  11. It is shocking that Atwater is not already in the HOF. The man was a true superstar.
  12. I respectfully disagree and also think that Auburn would not be a pushover for Ohio State. Auburn can pretty much play with anyone imo. The way to beat them (again, imo) is to contain their young qb and force mistakes. Their DL keeps them in games. Alabama's defense is banged up. With Tua hurt, the main advantage the Tide has over Auburn is Nick Saban (OK, the receivers too lol). I hope it is enough.
  13. I told Althea that treachery, Was tearing me, limb from limb. Althea told me, You better cool down boy, Settle back, easy Jim.
  14. Auburn has a very strong defense, especially up front. I like Derrick Brown coming out of college more than I liked Dareus. He is a complete monster. Auburn, with their exceptional lines, would dominate any other conference despite the inexperienced quarterback. How many teams in the Big 10 do you think are better than Auburn? I would say probably 1.
  15. Well I feel so good, Everybody's gettin' high, Better take it easy cause the place is on fire. Been a long day, nothin' went too good, Now I'm gonna relax, I think everybody should.
  16. Well I went to the depot I never got there on time. Went down to the depot, never got there on time. Well the train went down she's a rollin' down the line. Mister jailer go away now, don't tell me no lies. Mister jailer go away now, don't tell me no lies. When my train comes down she's rollin' down the line.
  17. A policeman put on his uniform, He'd like to have a gun just to keep him warm, Because violence here is a social norm, You've got to humanize yourself.
  18. Don't you know, that it's true? That for me, and for you, The world is a ghetto.
  19. Was it inappropriate to mention this all time great in a thread about blockers? If so, sorry about that.
  20. Davonta Smith is tall, has great moves, is quick (not blazing speed), and catches virtually anything near him. I suspect that he might even go before Ruggs because Davonta is just that good. Having said that, Ruggs is probably one of the fastest men in the world. He is probably MUCH faster than Foster and I am being serious. Allen has the arm to reach him too. I would be fine with either.
  21. I recently heard an offensive line coach on the Sirius college station say that it is now MUCH harder to develop offensive linemen than it used to be because they are not allowed to practice as much. Do I know this to be true? No, but I am not seeing players leave school and knocking the NFL on it's ass ala Orlando Pace, or for that matter Jason Taylor. I expect Ford to be a good blocker fairly soon and if it happens to be at Guard in lieu of Tackle, so be it. It is always refreshing to see the Bills devote resources to blocking. Now, we need receivers and there just so many of them in the 2020 draft.
  22. WR Davonta Smith. We can only hope that he is still available when we select.
  23. Gone are the days when the ox fall down, Take up the yoke and plow the fields around. Gone are the days when the ladies said' "Please, Gentle Jack Jones won't you come to me." Brown-eyed women and red grenadine, The bottle was dusty but the liquor was clean. Sound of the thunder with the rain pouring down, And it looks like the old man's, getting on.
  24. I was there too. Hard to imagine a worse game.
  25. I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail, Yes I would, If I could, I surely would. I'd rather be a hammer than a nail, Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would. Away, I'd rather sail away, Like a swan, that's here and gone. A man gets tied up to the ground, He gives the world, it's saddest sound, It's saddest sound.
