I am not so sure of this wrt North Carolina (and perhaps even SC). In NC, so many retired police officers and firefighters are down there that they have started numerous clubs. They help newcomers with getting medical care that takes their insurance, and many other issues. There are thousands of members in these clubs. Imo (and I could easily be wrong), NYC and other retirees actually helped swing the electoral vote in NC to Trump. Remember, Obama carried NC twice.

We need receivers John. Yes there are other needs but imo receiver is the top need and 2020 has the absolute best class of wide receivers I have ever seen. Imo, good scouting and a smidgen of luck could bring us 2 stars at that position. Between this and 90 mil. cap space, things are looking up!!!

Just read that Najee Harris is returning to school for his senior year. Trey Sanders is all set to return from his injury, and his blazing speed will be a perfect compliment to Najee's power. The Tide has not fielded a really fast RB in a few years. They will still have tremendous wide receivers, and a strong OL. They have skill and depth at QB. On defense, both ILBs are returning along with most of the secondary. They (imo) need to improve at Nose and pass rush. If they do, this team might be special.

My GF is an RN and as straight as they come. She took her car to the car wash and the next day I was taking groceries out of the backseat. There was a very small, plastic bag of weed on the floor. I would not believe this story once in 1,000 times but I know her for 10 years. I could pick out the guy who probably dropped it too, he was a very sketchy dude. He was fired a few weeks later for other reasons. That said, if she was stopped by police officers and they spotted the weed, I would totally not blame them if they didn't believe her.

I am at a complete loss as to why Steve Atwater is not already in the HOF. The man was an all time great.

What rose to the top was the power running game. It HAD to happen sooner or later. We all know that the NFL is a passing league and the defenders are smaller. It even applies to the college game. I heard Nick Saban say that many linebackers who were flat out stars on his defense several years ago would probably not be starters today. Jackson didn't lose that game. Derrick Henry and his blockers pounded the Raven into defeat. They were unable to stop him and beaten half to death by trying to. That team collectively is in quite a bit of physical pain right now. I am loving it.

That makes sense. I get the fraud, not the bribe. I expect the case to be tossed. As you say, lots of others are involved in similar situations I think they will decide that this is better left alone.
