  1. I also want to add that sometimes, the guy you let go who passes the red light could turn out to be drunk when you encounter him, and might not feel like being arrested. This of course would require the use of some kind of force. Picture you and your partner alone at 2 AM. You see a car pass a red light and nobody is around. Is the driver intox? Maybe. Do you want to find out during these times? Maybe not, especially if you have your "numbers." I am just trying to paint a realistic situation and again, I think that ultimately, the public will suffer more than police officers will. The entire situation just sucks.
  2. Thanks. I have never seen a police officer turn his or her back on a felony in progress. Of course this does not mean that it has never happened or never will happen. I don't know how one could go to bed and fall asleep after letting a person be harmed when he could have helped. But, less police officers will initiate work. This I can guarantee.
  3. No it is not, but; if you were a police officer and felt like there was a deck stacked against you, it would make sense to be less proactive. For instance, if you had enough summonses for the month, would you stop the car that just ran that red light if you didn't have to and risk a confrontation/allegation? And make no mistake, the above is not about "lesson teaching." Not at all. It's about keeping your job and pension, as well as feeding your kids.
  4. If in fact I misunderstood your words, I am sorry. I am not going to list the thousands of things that police officers do for minority communities. You are furious and probably wouldn't believe me, or even listen with an open mind. When the smoke clears (and sadly it will take some time), maybe some changes can be made for the good of all. Meanwhile, crime stats are now soaring in NYC and other places. The community will suffer more than police officers, this I can guarantee because cops can just step back, not get involved, and still get paid. The entire situation just sucks. This cretin ex-cop had his knee on the throat of this entire country, including good, honest police officers.
  5. No. I didn't say that at all. It must be what you want to believe. It was because of her attack upon, and allegations against at least 1 police officer. If she uttered 1 good word about any cop you would hate her, right? C'mon man, admit it. You hate clearly hate all cops, except this one and completely trust her. Oh, you also support a mentally ill murderer in Dormer. Not too big on self introspection, are we?
  6. It strikes me that as someone who has uttered utter contempt for pretty much all police officers, you automatically believe this one particular officer. Neither of us was there and i take it there is no video. We don't know her disciplinary record, nor how many incidents she herself was involved in, but let's take every word she says at face value and accept it as gospel truth, right? Seriously?
  7. You'll never know how much I really love you You'll never know how much I really care Listen, do you want to know a secret? Do you promise not to tell? Whoa-oh-oh, closer Let me whisper in your ear Say the words you long to hear I'm in love with you, ooh
  8. Come back, when you grow up girl, You're still livin' in a paper doll world. Livin" ain't easy, lovin's twice as tough, So come back baby, when you grow up.
  9. I think it is cool for the National Anthem to be played before games, and think that nobody should kneel. If the owners decided to ban kneeling, I would be fine with it. That said, if players want to and choose to kneel, it will not bother me enough to boycott the NFL. If kneeling causes certain players to get in the poor graces of their respective team owner and it ends up costing them in some way, I don't care about that either.
  10. You raised some good points AD but you are killing me with the bolded LOL!!!!! Great candidates? I beg to differ.
  11. Dressed myself in green I went down to the sea Try to see what's going down Maybe read between the lines Had a feeling I was falling, falling, falling Turned around to see Heard a voice calling, calling, calling You was comin after me Back to me I had to move Really had to move That's why if you please I am on my bended knees Bertha don't you come around here anymore
  12. Steve Winwood was making great music all the way back to his teens. He played with the likes of Clapton, Capaldi, Mason, Garcia, Trucks, and countless others. I saw him at Foxwood's a few years ago and when he talked to the crowd, I sense that there were some crazy parties that I would love to hear about. I never spoke to Raquel but many years ago, I saw her walking by me at an event in Manhattan while I was working. She was between 2 bodyguards who looked to be close to 6'10"'. She was beautiful from a distance and as she came closer she was out and out captivating. My forehead started sweating and I couldn't really move my knees. My eyes were probably popping out of my head and I couldn't say anything. When she was just a few steps past me she stopped, turned around, and gave me a seductive wink. Now, when she turned back around she I could see that she was laughing. in fact her bodyguards were laughing at me. I had to abandon my post and get a Snapple iced tea. Nobody has ever has had that effect on me, and btw she was in her late 40's at the time, considerably older than me. I added her name just so I could be around her and ask her questions. From the things I read about her she was very interesting in addition to her beauty. She wouldn't sleep with directors so the called her a B word. Others told her that she was a talented actress but if they gave her a part, people would not be able to concentrate on the film. Listen, I'm sorry to bore you but you asked lol.
  13. Yes, the FBI is always trustworthy. Do you think Antifa is legit or are they terrorists?
  14. Yeah sure, ok. Cities around the country are getting legitimate brick deliveries in the middle of riots. Got it.
  15. You make a decent point about the KKK. Imo they SHOULD be a terrorist group and it should have happened from the moment they existed. I do however respectfully point out that Obama had 8 years to do this. That said, I hope that President Trump does declare them as such. Antifa has been delivering pallets of bricks to rioters and paying them to burn and destroy things and people. They ARE terrorists and need to pay the price.
  16. Brian, I was referring specifically to this quote: "The police officers cheering them outside the courtroom is one of the more disgusting things I've witnessed in some time." My point was that I am thinking that there were plenty of more disgusting things very recently, to include the senseless, horrible murder in Minnesota. Sorry if I was not clear enough.
  17. 1) President Trump 2) Nick Saban 3) Derrick Henry 4) Raquel Welsh 5) Steve Winwood I would have tons of questions to ask all of them.
  18. Really? Do you live in a cave, come out for this video, and go running back in? Two nights ago there were 18 human beings murdered in Chicago, and I think another 12 were shot. Police Officers have been murdered around the nation during these riots and I think there was also a murder in Minesota by a scumbag ex-cop, no? OK, the police officers supporting the 2 fellow officers for pushing and unintentionally injuring this ill advised man constitutes "one the more disgusting things you have seen in some time?" Wow! C'mon Brian.....try to let old personal wounds die.
  19. Maybe because they were imposing a government mandated curfew and the man approached and even accosted riot police officers. I'm not sure, not good timing maybe?
  20. I'm the red ball express of lovin' Diesel powered straight to you, I'm truckin' In old Temptation's rain, I'm duckin' For your love through sleet and snow, I'm truckin'. Ain't nothin' holding me back, nothin' I keep right on right on, truckin'
  21. I heard about the case but never believed it. To be honest I didn't believe the Volpe "plunger" case either. That wasn't police brutality, it was a sex crime. I didn't think that any cop, however vicious, would ever do this and it turned out that he was guilty. I don't present myself as an all knowing entity. Could the Baltimore case be true? Maybe, but as I said; I am unable to visualize something that candy ass and flimsy. As for Minnesota, I am utterly sickened, and I mean every bit as much as you if not more. That ex-cop had his knee on the throat of every American citizen, especially police officers, and I really don't care about the record of the deceased. I watched that video with a knot in my stomach and my heart racing. I knew that things would be very bad, but not THIS bad. Just horrible beyond words.
  22. Seriously, no. I am not a starry eyed kid. I have been in battles and had to use necessary force, and I am not ashamed of this. They key word is necessary. But to put someone in a van and drive around like some douchebag? Bro, that is weak s%$t and no, I never heard of it and never would have ever considered it for any reason, even if the prisoner attacked me, or molested a kid. I am unable to even visualize driving down the streets of NYC in that manner, (especially Manhattan) and placing my own health and the heath of others in peril, let alone in a police vehicle. If you don't believe me, of course that's perfectly OK too.
  23. No, I never heard of it and yes, I thought it ridiculous then and still do. Some indictments are for political gain, wouldn't you agree? And yes, they "coulda" stole the money as it what generally happens in Baltimore. http://www.baltimoresun.com/politics/bs-md-pol-pugh-20191120-kzmc2v7cafetjladglhgnyusdy-story.html I do hope and pray that the prosecutors in the Minnesota case are competent.
  24. I don't know about every single case HBF. Unlike some others, I don't think that my opinions necessarily reign supreme over opinions that differ but, since you brought it up; the Freddie Gray Case was utterly ridiculous imo. The premise of the wild ambulance ride was something I never saw or even heard about. Also, weren't there police officers in the ambulance? And iirc, 3 of the officers were black. They all got off, and this was in Baltimore mind you. I mean really.
