  1. In my most secure moments I still can't believe, I'm spending these moments with you. And the ground that I'm walking, the air that I breathe, Are shared at those moments with you. You love for real, You show the feel, Of everything that touches you.
  2. I was a lonely soul, I had nobody 'til I met you. Now you, keep me waiting, All of the time, What should I do?
  3. Your philosophy is sound Augie, however these times were so weird and taxing for fans that is does merit some discussion. Back in the Levy/Jauron days, guys like us went to sports bars and watched the Bills on satellite TV. At home we would watch some college games on a 32 inch screen and read football magazines and newspapers. Then, we would come up with better draft plans than Bills coaches and GMs. After these 2 miserable failures, things stayed insane for another decade or so. Spiller, Whitner, Kouandjio…..really? I can think of several posters who 100% knew that these were dumb moves that had zero chance of success, and I do mean ZERO. If we were talking about another subject I would tend to agree with your post. In our case, being a Bills fans has been quite bizarre, weird enough to rehash from time to time. And btw, if we don't win big with Allen (I for one think that we can mind you), this thread will be considered giggling kindness when angry fans talk about passing on Mahomes/Watson to draft a cornerback.
  4. Oh absolutely! He was ahead of his time and on his way to being a superstar.
  5. Mike Williams was an overweight RT coming out of college with a chronic ankle injury, a pretty bad scenario for a 360 pound person. Once again, a draft bust isn't only about who you select, it's also about who you pass on. Donahoe passed on LEFT TACKLE Bryant McKinnie who had a career just a shade below Hall of Fame level. A 12 year old with a copy of the old Pro Football Weekly could have read Joel Buchsbaum's ratings and drafted better than us. I'm not joking.
  6. I clearly remember your outburst when he was hired. I was puzzled too because as I recall, Jauron had a decent record in Chicago, or; am I wrong? It became clear that Levy hired him because he was a young, under control image of himself. Both of these men seriously believed that no position on the field was more important than cornerback and/or safety. Not QB, LT, Pass rushing DE.....nothing, and this was before the rule changes. These were brilliant men yet they knew less about football than an average high school coach. Unbelievable. Truly mind boggling how Mr. Wilson paid these men to destroy his team.
  7. The #8 in a draft that was loaded with talent needs to be more than a legit starter, which he barely was. Whitner was an undersized safety with mediocre speed. I agree that the 2000 draft produced worse players for the Bills. Absolutely true but there were less good players to choose from. In fact, it was probably one of the worst draft classes ever. I think that the first QB chosen was Chad Pennington. In 2006, Levy passed on excellent players and turned down at least 2 offers to trade down, one of which included multiple picks. I heard him say this during a post draft interview and he was actually bragging about drafting Whitner.
  8. The Levy/Jauron draft in 2006 set this team back 5 years. It was SO bad that most posters on this board knew how much it would hurt the team (although, a few actually defended it). They entered the draft with the #8 in rounds 1 & 2, and 2 top ten picks in round 3. 4 early picks in the first 3 rounds!!! The net result? DB Whitner (mediocre and cost 36 million in real cap dollars), McCargo (DL who completely sucked), and DB Ashton Youboty (just awful). Oh, and the draft was stacked with good players. Not painful enough? They grabbed another horrible DB, Ko Simpson in round 4. Levy and Jauron were two clowns, at the sub-basement level of Rich Kotite. PS: I don't care that they drafted Kyle Williams in the 5th in that draft. That was pure luck. Nobody else thought that he was any good. I would have been more impressed if they took him early.
  9. Does Saban pick him up as an assistant?
