  1. Yeah, he insulted you right off the bat, and does so even after you (and I) wished his family well and hoped that necessary accomodations were made for them. Once again I ask, are teachers "essential" workers, or do their unions (not most individual teachers) just want the great benefits, insane vacations, and big pay raises? https://www.oann.com/u-s-teachers-added-to-essential-worker-list-as-they-face-white-house-pressure-to-return-to-classrooms/
  2. Rob Johnson was big, a great runner, had a cannon for an arm, and was extremely accurate. Because of the above, he was going to be a franchise QB and lead us to big places. Oh, this was me.
  3. Well a couple shots of whiskey, women `round here start looking good, I said a couple shots of whiskey, women `round here start looking good, A couple more shots of whiskey, I'm going down to Minglewood. Said I was born in the desert Raised in a lion's den Said I was born in the desert Raised in a lion's den Yes and my number one occupation Is stealing women from their men
  4. How will schools replace computers which are lost or "stolen?" Does anybody believe that none of these computers will be sold off? School taxes might end up being higher for a totally inferior education. Like I said before, ultimately; the poor kids will suffer the most. I am very pro-labor and understand that the teachers unions are there to provide for and defend their members. That said, any claims that these unions (not the teachers themselves) care about the kids and/or taxpayers are nonsensical lies.
  5. Davonta Smith (who belongs on the Bills imo) is very impressed by Bryce Young. I have missed on many quarterbacks. I thought Rob Johnson would come around and be great. That said, this kid has everything going for him. I just can't wait to see him compete and kick ass. https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2020/08/alabama-qb-bryce-young-is-ready-impressing-teammates.html?fbclid=IwAR0lF00LPawLiGEQFlUb780cXqajJL0RACwNtb62DFzD0CZZ-Zg-_BMQGXs
  6. Public school teachers on Long Island at top pay can pull in WELL over 100K, great benefits, and let's not forget 4 months or so off per year. Seriously, far more than 100K. I'm friends with many of them, and some have told me that they want to go back to school.
  7. Late yesterday night I saw a light shine, from a window And, as I looked again Your face, came into sight I couldn't walk on Until you'd gone from, your window I had to make you mine I knew, you were the one
  8. A dear friend of mine is a HS public school teacher. The principal of her school declared in the spring that students could not get lower final grades than they received the 3rd quarter, but could get higher final grades. The administration informed the students of this, and almost her entire class did not do their work in the last quarter. She also said that her fellow teachers experienced the same thing. I sympathize with Patrick about the medical conditions of his family members and hope that something can be arranged for them. That said, we also have to think about the disadvantaged kids who truly do need to be in school. We must also be informed whether or not teachers are "essential" workers. If they are not, perhaps they should not be paid as such.
  9. Yeah, and if they break or the system goes down, 7 and 8 year old kids will fix said computers. No problem, right? And we know that kids need no supervision, right? PS: People who disagree with you are not necessarily stupid in their way of thinking.
  10. Poor children will suffer with closed schools. How does a working, poverty stricken, single parent survive with 3 kids and either one or no computers in the home? Seriously. Many children also get their best meal of the day in school, no? Do we care? Many kids might even be home, unsupervised. Is there any risk of them catching covid19? Teachers (imo) need to decide whether or not they are "essential." So does society. Do you have any suggestions that might help the situation for disadvantaged kids, or are you going to call me names like you did to another poster?
  11. You got me shakin' got me runnin' away You get me crawlin' up to you everyday Don't bring me down No, no, no, no, no. Whoo-ee-ooh! I'll tell you once more before I get off the floor Don't bring me down, down, down, down, down, down.
  12. I thought since day 1, and still think that Allen is a mega talented player. I know what a great runner he is, but I wish that he would curtail the running, at least to some degree. The last thing I want to see is JA get hurt. If he stays healthy, I predict a long, highly successful career for this kid.
  13. 2020 Crimson Tide Schedule has been announced. I can't wait to see our players get on the field and compete. It's a very tough schedule but I'm hoping for success. For those interested in blockers, this OL is said to be pretty amazing. The RT looks like an All American. https://rolltide.com/sports/football/schedule/2020
  14. You are so beautiful To me You are so beautiful To me Can't you see You're everything I hope for You're everything I need You are so beautiful to me You are so beautiful to me
  15. I don't know why, but the above really does work. I am quite able to handle beer without getting stupid. I do not drink huge amounts at all, but I did what you suggested twice. I went to 2 weddings and was 100% alcohol free. I was observing others and thought that they were making fools of themselves. The next wedding, I drank 2 beers and did not notice anything weird at all. Keep in mind that I am not intox at all after 2 beers (unless they were the super strong 9% IPS, which I would never drink). My point is that just a small amount of alcohol can make the behavior of others seem much more normal, or so I see it.
  16. Interesting, but not at all surprising that President Trump get more support (however little) from Sanders supporters than from Warren's people. The President really did call her out on the Native American thing to the point that it was hysterical. Seriously, that could have been the funniest political scenario in the history of America, complete with Warren apologizing to various tribes. I mean really..... Your comment about NY being divided ala Maine was fascinating. It will never happen but it would be great if it did, and quite fair imo. Oh, and no; you are NOT the most far left person here because you have an open mind. You also make sense. Farthest to the left? Not even close.
  17. Aren't genetic factors involved? For instance: People with native American blood seem to have a lower tolerance for alcohol. I'm sure there are exceptions. Also, many Irish people are said to consume a lot of alcohol, yet I think that their rate of domestic violence (a majority of which involves alcohol to some degree) is low when compared to some other ethnicities. I think this is because (very simply put) most Irishmen can drink a six pack of beer and hold it without getting stupid. The above are opinions based on personal observations, and are not being offered up as scientific knowledge. Bro, what is it that you cannot take?
  18. Well, the only person talking about love thy brother is the(preacher) And it seems nobody's interested in learning but the(teacher) Segregation, determination, demonstration, integration, Aggravation, humiliation, obligation to our nation Ball of confusion Oh yeah, that's what the world is today Woo, hey, hey
  19. When you belonged to me I had a jealous mind Too late I learned that you Were not the cheating kind Take me back I'm begging please Take me back I'm on my knees For you to scold me, hurt me, hold me Darling take me back
  20. I see your point but Fields plays against real opponents. Lawrence has a big advantage in that sense. Again, jmo.
  21. I could be wrong but imo his Heisman dreams would have to include a terrible injury to Trevor Lawrence. Seriously, nothing against Fields but Lawrence is a freak.
  22. You've got the love You've got the power But you just don't understand Girl, you've been charging by the hour For your love I'm tryin' to show how much I love you Still believe in romance You're taking way too many chances With my love I remember when you used to be The talk of the town All you get is lonely Turn your love around Don't you turn me down I can show you how Turn your love around
  23. Don't you let nothing, nothing Stand in your way I want you to listen, listen To every word I say, every word I say Ain't no stopping us now We've got the groove. Ain't no stopping us now We're on the move
  24. I hope it is empty when and if the rioters burn it down.
  25. He might. I was at a game when he got sacked 6 times by Hansen, Bruce, and Bryce Paup. They were some of the hardest hits I ever saw. One was an all out bull rush by Hansen who hit him with everything he had Yolo. I was sure he wasn't getting up. Bryce was a vicious hitter and clobbered him as well. BADOLBILZ and other posters were at this game and it has been discussed on this board. To this day I don't know how he survived those hits. Harbaugh is one of the toughest people I have ever seen.
