Thank you Buffalo Bills
Bill from NYC replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you indeed!!! Some of the most fun moments of my life were spent tailgating at RWS. I was there for the Flutie last second win against Jax; I was there for the 6-3 loss. Some of the outcomes for these games resulted in sheer misery which should not be but let's face it, we are die hard fans and many of us (myself included) take it a bit too seriously. I was never at the stadium during a season like this and can only imagine the joy after most of these games. The Bills are a VERY good team. They will get even better and win a Super Bowl before long and perhaps several of them. Many posters on this board often seemed to crave national recognition. Well, you've got it. Everyone writer, announcer, or fan with a brain respects the Buffalo Bills. All of us wanted a good quarterback. Now we have a great one. We need to be just a little patient because as great as he is, he played at Wyoming. Trevor Lawrence is coming into the league as talented as can be, but; he played on a team chock full of first round picks and almost exclusively against lesser opponents. Once again, Josh played in Wyoming! He needed some time to adjust to playing against the best of the best. My point? Don't worry about Josh. The kid is a mega talented, GREAT quarterback. Now, is there room for the team to improve? Yes. I am old school and think that when a franchise qb is in place, the top 3 places I look are offensive line, defensive line, and backup quarterback. This looks like an excellent draft at least for OL and QB. I'll let the rest of you focus on 1st round corners. 🙂 But seriously, for decades I have gone into the offseason dreaming of draft success but deep down I (and probably many of you) knew it would be an exercise in futility. I'm not going to list the idiotic moves because there were too many. This is no longer the case. We have a GM and a coach who are smart professionals. I have confidence in them and in our quarterback. The sky is the limit for this team! Onto the draft and free agency!!! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Yeah, they have (2) 5 star recruits coming in, along with 3 starters (if you count Owen) and plenty of guys behind them. I worry about the RB situation, and hope that Cam Wheaton doesn't bolt for Texas. I don't think that he will due to the good situation at OL, but he would face softer defenses at Texas.

I remember thinking (and posting) the opinion that he only got the Bills job because he was a Syracuse crony of Brandon. As i recall he was smart enough to bench EJ, and I respect him for that. He probably wants to get back as a college head coach but according to what I read, it is now a tougher job than being an NFL coach because of all the recruiting and dealing with boosters. At least he left the Jags with Trevor Lawrence.

Gamblers Thread: Bills @ Chiefs Championship game
Bill from NYC replied to T&C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw a line where I would risk 55 to win 77 on the Bills with no points. Is this a good line? -

I'm not surprised, whereas coach after coach comes to Alabama to boost or rebuild their careers, and it works. My guess is that Doug wants to get back into college football as a head coach. If so, Alabama could be a great stepping stone. They lost 3 OL starters but there is a lot of talent coming back, to include the top 2 recruits at offensive tackle. It will be interesting to see if he gets along with Saban, but my guess is that he will. He has to know what he is stepping into. https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2021/01/what-alabama-is-getting-in-offensive-line-coach-doug-marrone.html

Annabella Sciorra was very good.

I like the Bills without points. If the Bills were the favorite in this game, I would bet them. I am THAT sure that they are going to win and imo it won't be a close game. I also think that GB will kick ass minus the points. Buffalo Bills vs. GB Superbowl. Please (not that anyone would) don't bet this game based on what I think, if at all. The purpose of this post is to see who YOU like. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

https://www.rollbamaroll.com/2016/8/1/12339910/2016-alabama-unit-previews-cornerback I guess much depends on whether or not you consider a niclel back a corner of a safety. Either way, he was one great player. -
Just a bit of trivia....the only opposing pitcher to ever beat him in high school baseball was a man named Ken Stabler.

It amazes me that you remember this stuff. 😲👍 That Raider team was GREAT. I was just a kid and the Raiders vs. Vikings Super Bowl was the biggest bet I have ever made in my life, even to this day. The Raiders were only minus 4 1/2, and they were twice the size of the Vikes. Their receivers were fantastic (including TE Dave Casper) and the had what just might have been the best OL of all time. Stabler was the perfect QB for this bunch of psychos too. Opposing receivers were scared for their life to go over the middle against Tatum and Atkinson. Stabler wrote in his book that he was actually a bit scared of a few of his teammates. Were they as good as the Steelers? Nah, the Steelers were a complete, perfect team, but I really am glad that this Raider team got to win a Super Bowl!!!

Do you like the term “Bills Mafia”?
Bill from NYC replied to Lionel Hutz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like it because it is funny. I don't find it one bit offensive. -
The fans too are sure to be outraged. As I have said before, the only way they can make this work is if it involved getting Trevor Lawrence, and Houston doesn't have the draft capital to toss into the mix along with Watson. And CT, I know that a case can be made that it would be dumb ever to trade a proven QB for a draft pick. Still, in this case Lawrence would be an even bigger draw than Watson. If he is good the franchise will skyrocket in value. Jmo, and as I said, Houston doesn't have enough to close that deal with Jax. I suppose nobody does.
