This upcoming Draft we will get to see how Good Beane is
Bill from NYC replied to MAJBobby's topic in College Football
I agree, but imo he has quite a bit to work with, in that this is a VERY strong draft imo. It is QB heavy and we already have Josh. It is OL heavy which is GREAT, and not particularly strong at defensive back. I have faith that Beane will come through with some talented players, and am ever so thankful that the Whaley, Levy, Jauron, Nix days are over. -
Nothing's for certain, It could always go wrong, Come in when it's raining, Go on out when it's gone. We could have us a high time, Living the good life, Well I know.

In college he played on a great team against poor competition until playoff time. -

As I look back, I can see me lost and searching. Now I find that I can choose, I'm free. Oh, Yeah! So funny I just have to laugh, All my troubles been torn in half. I been lonely too long. (He's been lonely too long.) Lonely too long. (He's been lonely.)

Just a little deuce coupe with a flat head mill But she'll walk a Thunderbird like she's standin' still She's ported and relieved and she's stroked and bored She'll do a hundred and forty with the top end floored She's my little deuce coupe You don't know what I got

It does seem that way, but does being drafted in round 1 get the team an option year? I'm not sure how that works.

You're the kind of person you meet at certain dismal, dull affairs Center of a crowd, talking much too loud, running up and down the stairs Well, it seems to me that you have seen too much in too few years And though you've tried you just can't hide Your eyes are edged with tears You better stop, and look around Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes Here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown

WHAT??? No freaking way!!! After Josh was drafted and many posters were complaining, I took his back with a long post in support of him. This support has never waivered. I have never posted one bad word about Josh. I do think that at one point last year I said that I was afraid he would get hurt if he keep running so much. So let's be clear.....Josh Allen is already a top 5 QB, this with the handicap of playing at Wyoming, where the team and the competition sucked as compared to other conferences. This meant that Josh had more to learn than Mahomes for instance, as well as all other QBs that I can think of. In other words, Josh is already excellent and will surely even improve. I do not necessarily want the Bills to take Mac Jones at 30. I have a different player in mind. That said, Ernie Accorsi once said that the most important player on an NFL team is the quarterback, and the second most important position is the backup quarterback. I was always about the LT position wrt this statement, but he did have a point.

Greg Olsen on Cowherd "a little bit of buyers remorse"
Bill from NYC replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that a majority of fans still do. NOT me mind you. I was a fan of Josh from the day he was drafted. -
the missing link - an Alvin Kamara-type player
Bill from NYC replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not everyone. -
I was listening to the NFL channel in my car and they said that Mac Jones looks very good and was throwing accurate passes. They said that he probably elevated himself to the first round. I for one think that he was already there. One announcer said that he would expect to see him go at 30, 31, or 32.

[Name Only Title] Najee Harris
Bill from NYC replied to Pirate Angel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not pushing for the Bills to use a first round pick on Najee, but I disagree with those who think that he will last until we select in round 2. I do so for the following reasons: 1) Najee is a very strong kid and appears to be in perfect condition. The fact that he can leap over people the way he does is no accident. 2) He is a very smart player and will not have a problem learning any system, let alone if Daboll stays. 3) Najee is a great blocker. GREAT, and he developed into a fine receiver. Whoever selects Najee will be getting a hard working, serious, very intelligent, fine player. -
Two or three people fading in and out Like a radio station I'm thinking about But I can't hear Who gets breakfast? Who gets the lunch? Who gets to be the boss of this bunch? Who will steer? Turning,Turning To see your face alone I'm hoping there's someone home Dream, Do you dream Dreaming, Do you?

Daniel Jeremiah's 1st Mock has Bills going with UCF CB
Bill from NYC replied to MAJBobby's topic in College Football
The term BPA comes more into play the later a team picks imo. I don't think that the Bills have any glaring needs. Do you? This obviously puts them in a great position to make the BPA a real possibility. Of course, cap and other needs will have to be at least considered. I don't watch enough college (other than every Alabama game) to be able to rate many players from other teams. The Tide has lots of very talented players coming out this year. Many will be gone before we draft, but I have my eye on one particular player who could very well drop to us and imo help us in a few ways. I want to write up a post about their draft class but it will take me a couple of days. PS: The non Alabama, non qb who impressed me the most was Kyle Pitts of Fla, but I think he will be gone in the top 10 (very uncommon for a TE), and 6 or 7 wouldn't surprise me. That kid is great imo. He reminds me of Kellen Winslow Sr. Could you imagine that kid with Josh throwing to him? -

Nah, folks are conditioned for this. Only a select few would get angry. 😃
