Is Devonta Smith basically Stefon Diggs?
Bill from NYC replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in College Football
I guess that we will know soon enough. -
Thanks for this great post. Saban actually meets individually with eligible juniors and honestly tells them where they are projected to go in the draft by numerous good sources. He often tells them to enter the draft, but I don't know how many people believe this. He fully supported Tua leaving because he knew how much guaranteed money he would have been passing up. We got very lucky with 3 star Mac Jones. A surprising number of players enter early forthe draft (and even the transfer portal) and are not selected. They mention this every now and then on Sirius ESPNU.

The above is 100% true. It will be intresting to see what happens with Jalen Waddle in 2021. Jalen is every bit as dangerous as Davonta Smith. I'm serious. He is a full step faster and has better moves. Davonta has better hands and jumps higher. Jalen suffered a pretty serious ankle injury and has missed most ot the season. If he was healthy, both of them would be top 10 picks. I am as sure of this as I can possibly be. I can't say how high he will go coming off an injury but if he stays in school and is healthy, Jalen will be the best non-quarterback in the NCAA and wide receiver or not, might even go first in the 2021 draft.

Najee is a very tough player to rank. It is even hard to compare him to other backs, but I will try..... 1) He has the size of Eric Dickerson but not the blazing speed. 2) He doesn't have the power of Derrick Henry (who does), but has better moves. 3) He appears to be great at seeing holes ala Thurman but Thurman hit them faster. 4) He is a great and fearless blocker (much like Thurman). 5) He is a very hard worker, smart, and a calm kid. 6) He developed into an excellent receiver. He will go in the first round. Passing today is MUCH more important that running so it will probably be late first round. Would he be a good fit for the Bills? Think about it.....he would gain yards on the ground and in the air. He would also provide excellent blocking for Josh. To top it off, he was coached by Daboll. Will he be there when the Bills select? I don't think so because I see us winning the Super Bowl. Seriously. If he IS there when we pick, yes, I would consider him. There is a different Alabama player coming out who I consider to be a 100% perfect fit for the Bills. I will get into this more after the season. I hope that at least one of them is available at 32. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, the above comment, if serious, is utterly wrong and rather ridiculous. Davonta caught the National Title winning pass in 2018, in overtime no less. This year, he played against 11 SEC Teams and Notre Dame and nobody was able to stop him. Oh, and he did so after losing his partner Jalen Waddle, who is hurt, but will be a certain first round pick if he comes out. DS was just voted the AP Player of the Year. Citadel? C'mon, really. Don't be surprised if he wins the Heisman Trophy. Davonta will probably go in the top ten. He is a fantastic player and a great kid. Ruggs is faster but I prefer Davonta. Jeudy is great, but he has no quarterback of note. Imo he is one of the most talented receivers in the NFL. He is very different than Davonta, but I would have a hard time choosing between the two. Jeudy did say last year that Davonta had the best hands on the team. If you really do appreciate watching good young players, also keep your eye on Waddle. If he fully recovers from his injury he will be a superstar. Jmo, and happy New Year to you and yours! -

Is Devonta Smith basically Stefon Diggs?

I do Sir. Davonta has the best hands in the NCAA. He also is always open and can leap WAY into the air and catch anything near him. As for the TE position, Kyle Pitts from Florida is just sensational. He is the best TE prospect I have seen since Kelen Winslow......Senior lol. I know it is a complete reach but I can see him making the HOF some day. There are quite a few players on Alabama that I would love to see the Bills draft. One in particular, but I won't get into that until after the Bills win the super bowl (which I fully expect). I would prefer Pitts to any of them but he will be gone in the top 10, which almost never happens to a TE. Jmo. -
The Tide is far from finished. There is another game to go against a GREAT team and it won't be easy. Here's to a championship season for the Bills and the Crimson Tide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your 4 Team Playoff Predictions Please.....
Bill from NYC replied to Bill from NYC's topic in College Football
From your lips to God's ears Yolo lol! I really think that ND will try to run on us and utilize their big, talented TEs. If we can stop them from doing so and hold them on 3rd down, we can beat them imo, but I don't expect a blow out. Remember, we are playing without 2 sure first round draft picks. One of them is as good as any non-quarterback in the NCAA (Waddle), the other is the exact player that I want the Bills to draft (Dickerson). I will get into that more after the season. Once again, good luck vs. Clemson. I too have had about enough of Dabo. -
They say your style of life's a drag And that you must go other places But just don't you feel too bad When you get fooled by smiling faces but Don't you worry 'bout a thing Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama Cause I'll be standing on the side When you check it out...Yeah When you get it off...your trip Don't you worry 'bout a thing...Yeah Don't you worry 'bout a thing...Yeah

Jets fans are not happy about winning today
Bill from NYC replied to RobbRiddick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not so sure thatn there is a clear #2 selection in this draft. Imo, Lawrence is miles ahead of every other player in the draft. There would seem to be lots of players with a chance of going second. Of course, jmo. -
True. Most of them are wonderful people, right? Tell me, do you advocate bringing them into your nerighborhood? Would you like their offspring to attend school with your children?

Bama received a commitment fro Camor Wheaton, who is considered to be the top, or second highest rated running back in the country. He appears to me to be a power runner (listed at 5'11"/190 but I'm saying no way). He doesn't look to have Najee Harris moves, but he has real top end speed. His decision was probably influenced by the fact that The Tide also has commitments the top 2 rated OTs and a highly ranked center. They will need them because they will be losing their LT, LG, and Center (who the Bills really need imo, but I will get to this later). The Tide will be a young team next year but at this point they still look pretty good.
