  1. I doubt the bolded, unless things have changed dramatically in recent times. For example: You are a police officer in a marked vehicle. The car in front of you swerves. You think that he might be intox and pull him over. It turns out that he dropped something on the floor and reached for it, thus causing the vehicle to swerve. Now, he can be issued a summons for something like crossing the lines in the pavement, but nothing on paper would indicate suspicion of DUI was why he was pulled over, unless the officer noted it for court records. Even at that, the motorist was never in custody and this would only explain the reason for the car stop, IF the summons went to court. I don't know if the man was ever pulled over intox and let go. I would hope that he was not. It would be horrible to unleash a stoned out driver on society, and the personal consequences for the officer would be devestating, to include dismissal and the loss of a very sweet pension and for what gain?
  2. I am going to politely disagree here, but only in terms of the NFL. To be as clear as possible, I do NOT in any way endorse nepotism. I also am vehemently opposed to DWI and have witnessed the results many times. Do I think that Reid should be employed by the Chiefs? Absolutely not!!! That said, I cannot think of any workplace where nepotism and/or cronyism doesn't in some way apply. Are there any? There might be, but I haven't seen one. This includes private industry as well as government employment at all levels. Once again, I don't in any way excuse or condone what Reid's kid did. That isn't what this post is about, nor is it to be construed as political. I am ONLY saying that nepotism is as common as breathing, and this is jmo.
  3. Everybody is a star I can feel it, when you shine on me I love you for who you are Not the one you feel you need to be Ever catch a falling star? Ain't no stopping, 'til it's in the ground Everybody is a star One big circle going round and round
  4. I would say that your post nails it.
  5. Everybody's trembling and running around Picking up their money, tearing the tepee down Foreman wants a penny about to go insane Trying to get the workers out the way of the train Engineer blowing the whistle loud and long Can't stop the train, gotta let it roll on
  6. Sometimes, we all feel a need to change Our love we have to rearrange And move on to something new, yes you do Your dreams, feel like they're fallin' apart You need to find a brand new start But you're almost afraid to be true, to yourself Oh but it's all right Once you get past the pain You'll learn to find your love again So keep your heart open Cause love will find a way
  7. I don't love you anymore It's just that simple No, no, no, not like before Such a shame, dirty shame
  8. That is a simply amazing song and "Wake of the Flood" is my favorite album. Music quality is all about opinion, but I don't know how much better it gets than this:
  9. I agree, but imo he has quite a bit to work with, in that this is a VERY strong draft imo. It is QB heavy and we already have Josh. It is OL heavy which is GREAT, and not particularly strong at defensive back. I have faith that Beane will come through with some talented players, and am ever so thankful that the Whaley, Levy, Jauron, Nix days are over.
  10. Nothing's for certain, It could always go wrong, Come in when it's raining, Go on out when it's gone. We could have us a high time, Living the good life, Well I know.
  11. In college he played on a great team against poor competition until playoff time.
  12. Yeah but we have Tre White so there! 🙂
  13. If you do want me, gimme a little sweet talk If you don't want me, don't lead me on, girl But if you need me, show me that you love me And when I'm feeling down, wearing a frown You be there when I look around Just gimme some kind of sign girl Oh, my baby To show me that you're mine girl Oh yeah
  14. As I look back, I can see me lost and searching. Now I find that I can choose, I'm free. Oh, Yeah! So funny I just have to laugh, All my troubles been torn in half. I been lonely too long. (He's been lonely too long.) Lonely too long. (He's been lonely.)
  15. I think that he will make a move or 2 that some of us will consider to be a "blockbuster."
  16. Just a little deuce coupe with a flat head mill But she'll walk a Thunderbird like she's standin' still She's ported and relieved and she's stroked and bored She'll do a hundred and forty with the top end floored She's my little deuce coupe You don't know what I got
  17. It does seem that way, but does being drafted in round 1 get the team an option year? I'm not sure how that works.
  18. You're the kind of person you meet at certain dismal, dull affairs Center of a crowd, talking much too loud, running up and down the stairs Well, it seems to me that you have seen too much in too few years And though you've tried you just can't hide Your eyes are edged with tears You better stop, and look around Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes Here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown
  19. You try to gimme your money you better save it, babe Save it for your rainy day I have only one burning desire Let me stand next to your fire
  20. WHAT??? No freaking way!!! After Josh was drafted and many posters were complaining, I took his back with a long post in support of him. This support has never waivered. I have never posted one bad word about Josh. I do think that at one point last year I said that I was afraid he would get hurt if he keep running so much. So let's be clear.....Josh Allen is already a top 5 QB, this with the handicap of playing at Wyoming, where the team and the competition sucked as compared to other conferences. This meant that Josh had more to learn than Mahomes for instance, as well as all other QBs that I can think of. In other words, Josh is already excellent and will surely even improve. I do not necessarily want the Bills to take Mac Jones at 30. I have a different player in mind. That said, Ernie Accorsi once said that the most important player on an NFL team is the quarterback, and the second most important position is the backup quarterback. I was always about the LT position wrt this statement, but he did have a point.
  21. I never give you my pillow I only send you my invitations And in the middle of the celebrations I break down Boy, you're gonna carry that weight Carry that weight a long time Boy, you're gonna carry that weight Carry that weight a long time
  22. I think that a majority of fans still do. NOT me mind you. I was a fan of Josh from the day he was drafted.
  23. I was listening to the NFL channel in my car and they said that Mac Jones looks very good and was throwing accurate passes. They said that he probably elevated himself to the first round. I for one think that he was already there. One announcer said that he would expect to see him go at 30, 31, or 32.
