Morse is a good player and does not deserve to be a "whipping boy." He also has serious health issues and as you point out, a large contract. If I was the GM, I would plan on and prepare for his departure. The position is that important. Jmo.

Josh is great. He is easily a top 5 QB in this league and still improving. I was thrilled the day he was drafted and have been since. I am merely saying that having a good backup is a big asset to have, and very important imo. Once again, maybe they think Fromm is the answer at #2, and he might be!

The Bills have a quarterback who likes to run, and is great at doing so. Running quarterbacks are taking a very large risk, but you already knew this. Or did you? If Josh ges hurt, wouldn't you want a solid backup? I don't know, maybe the coaches think that Fromm is capable. If not then yes, the Bills need a backup qb. Now, would I take one in round 1? No I would not.

Gunner, I do NOT agree with the following link (I am sold on Lawrence), but I think that Mac Jones will go in the first round. That said, if the draft were to go like yours, I would want the Bills to trade up and draft Mac in round 2. It would only be a few spots and would probably cost little. We will be in lots of trouble if Josh gets hurt. The time that GB had to have put into a post like this is not to be underestimated. To rank 64 players you have to study at least twice that many, or so I think. I agree with him in terms of the players that I spent hours watching except for 1, but GB probably has a better chance of being correct than I do .

Thanks for the effort GB. I know that something like this takes time. There is too much work involved to just put this up in a few minutes. Posts like this are what makes this board great. That said, it certainly does follow the old time, depressing Bills mode. I liken it to 2008 when the Bills, in desperate need of blockers, drafted the great, gifted CB Leodis McKelvin at 11. Ryan Clady went at 12, and Brandon Albert went at 15, two pretty awesome blockers. In this mock, we take another first round corner and Alex Leatherwood (who I think might be the most underrated player in this draft) goes on the next pick. I read almost exclusively non-fiction. The following book is one that I learned a great deal from, and I think it would be very hard not to gain from this book in some way: Tom, *****, Mulattoes, Mammies, and Bucks (Donald Bogle) The author is a UPenn professor, who has probably watched every single movie in which there was a black actor. In this book, Bogle points out the demeaning, stereotyped roles they played. He also pointed out the ridiculous premises of certain movies, for example Rocky ll." He tells us how Sidney Portier was virtually de-sexed, and describes how in "To Sir With Love," he was harassed, tormrnted, underpaid, and assaulted, yet he ripped up a job application so he could stay there and continue to help white students! The chapter on Mulattoes was fascinating. He correctly states that there were movies about "passing for white" as if this was a normal condition that many black people faced. The movie "Pinky" was mentined in the chapter. It starred Jean Crain. The premise was just as ridiculous (if not more) as Rocky ll. Times have clearly changed, but this book serves as an eye opener and a history lesson of sorts. It is now frequently used as a textbook which is good, but drove up the cost.

Am I wrong or did he have giant sized holes that one could drive a truck through? I'm NOT saying that he can't play. Not at all but in the very limited videos I have seen of him there were giant lanes for him to run through. That said, I hope that he is drafted and has success in the NFL.

In 2020, in the games against Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, he recorded 10 tackles, 11 assists, and .5 sacks. His team however allowed a combined 137 points in those 3 games. I'm not sure what to make (if anything) of these stats, and if I still had the LSU/Bama game on tape I would watch it to offer an opinion.

I am going to add 1 more..... Miller Forristall (TE): Miller is 6'4/240. He has had several injuries at Bama but you wouldn't know by the way he plays. The kid looks more like a young Robert Redford than a football player, but he runs head on into the biggest defenders on the field. He is a great blocker and he has very good hands. Although he didn't get many chances, I can't remember ever seeing him drop a pass, but maybe I just didn't notice. The thing is, he tended to be wide open, because look at who else had to be covered. That said, he would have got more chances on a lesser team to be certain. He WAS able to find the endzone at times. This is a player that the combines will make a difference with imo. I want to see lots of reps on the bench, and a half decent 40 time. Even at that, Miller is not a huge prospect. I have seen him going in the 5th, 6th, 7th, or not drafted at all. Do I think that he might be worth a 6th or 7th round pick? Yeah, why not.

That MAKES sense. It's only dumb when other teams do it.

I am skeptical of Deonte. He weighed in at 364 in the Senior Bowl. Imo, one of the biggest leaps from college to the NFL is offensive line play. In college, a guy like Deonte can maul other kids and flatten them. In the NFL, every defender is strong and fast. Some of these guys would be past him before he gets out of his stance. Others would get him off balance and tip him over. Now, could he lose 30 or so pounds, get in better shape, and make an impact? I suppose but I'm not in a position to say. Meanwhile, as the poem says, "Visions of Mike Williams dance in my head."
