I don't mind when the tide, sets the sun to the moon I just don't want to be lonely Let the stairs find you there, at the end of the room I just don't want to be lonely (Just don't want to be lonely)

It's much too groovy a summer's day To waste running 'round in the city But here on the sand I can dream away Or look at the girls in their pretty It's a turn down day, nothin' on my mind It's a turn down day and I dig it

I could have picked "Sitting in the Park" or "I Do Love You" but instead I picked this classic from a great singer with an original style. Billy Stewart died WAY too young.

They make a fortune on these openers at Georgia and Dallas. Not all of the money goes to football either. I read somewhere that they are now ranked 2nd academically in the SEC. They are up in these parts handing out academic scholarships. It is no longer unusual to see kids with t-shirts that say "Roll Tide." Btw, they signed on to play Oklahoma State home and away. https://okstate.com/news/2021/6/8/osu-alabama-to-play-football-home-and-home-series.aspx

Clemson glides into the playoffs healthy from their easy schedule. Not only that, they give their young second stringers more playing time because they can with a 70-0 lead. As far as Miami and UNC, we will have to wait and see. Once again, who do they play? How would they fare against teams like Ole Miss, Miss. St, Auburn, LSU, Fla., or Alabama? My guess is not so well. I truly believe that the media talks up ACC teams to generate interest, and that they really know that it is a one team conference. As always, jmo. I could be wrong Yolo but I was under the impression that he was talking more about major teams. I am also under the impression that the line of prominent programs wanting to play against the Crimson Tide (and for that matter Ohio State) is not very long. Once again, jmo.

A choke of grief heart hardened I Beyond belief a broken man too tough to cry Surf's Up Aboard a tidal wave Come about hard and join The young and often spring you gave I heard the word Wonderful thing A children's song One of Brian Wilson's creepiest songs as he was sadly losing his mind,

Have you gotten your tax refund back?
Bill from NYC replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
I recently retired from the federal govt. It took more than 4 months to get a pension check. I asked my congressman to step in. He never answered me, but did send me a letter several months later telling me all that he is doing for the community. You would have been proud of my response. I am retired from the city and the feds. I can speak more freely these days lol! Good luck Brother! -
Birds sing out of tune And rain clouds hide the moon I'm okay, here I'll stay With my loneliness I don't care what they say I won't stay In a world without love

So many people are working from home John. Many of them fired their child care workers and are getting paid to watch their kids. Welcome to the new age. -
I am shocked that Dabo would even consider coming to the SEC @YoloinOhio. For example, they open against Georgia (yes, they actually open against a good team) this season. Even if they lose, a case can be made that they will only play teams that range from horrid to so-so for the remainder of the season. We will find out alot about Miami on 9/4, no? In other words, Clemson is seemingly a lock for even a 4 team playoff before the season even starts. In the SEC they will actually have to play against good football teams!!! I suppose that cash is king, which you alluded to in another post. If this happens we will get a clearer picture of just how good Dabo is imo. I am not saying that Dabo isn't good or possibly even great. I AM saying that he never had to play a schedule like Alabama does and for that matter, Ohio State. Jmo.

The wings around here are smaller than they are in Buffalo and simply not as good. We have a place in NYC that makes great BBQ wings but there is no place around here where you can get Buffalo wings like the ones in WNY. Not one.

Losman, Spiller take rolls with Clemson
Bill from NYC replied to ManCrushPassRush's topic in College Football
Congrats and good luck to both!!! I also think that it's time to bet Georgia on opening week. I know that great players don't usually make great coaches but JP was simply horrible and Spiller scored a 10 on the Wonderlic test. What is Dabo thinking? -
Do I have to tell the story Of a thousand rainy days since we first met? It's a big enough umbrella But it's always me that ends up getting wet Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns me on Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on

I was at the Eagle House last week and the wings were utterly superb.

Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?

Agreed except for Nirvana. I think that they were excellent. With you all the way on Creedence, even moreso with the Doors. Cars? Not so bad.
