  1. 1) The Bills will draft a defensive back in round 1. 2) The Bills will draft a defensive back in round 2. 3) A large portion of posters will defend doing the above as a smart move. 4) Unlike the old days, I will not freak out.
  2. Which would be insane because Mac barely played in 2019.
  3. Once the world was new Our bodies felt the morning dew That greets the brand-new day We couldn't tear ourselves away I wonder if you care I wonder if you still remember Once upon a time In your wildest dreams
  4. Wow, Melvin Fowler!!! When he took the field he really looked like a talented pro who could play his position. That is why it took me 2 or 3 games to realize that he was a simply horrible center. I mean terrible at run and pass blocking. I am however happy to hear that he was a nice guy.
  5. You got a fast car I got a plan to get us out of here I been working at the convenience store Managed to save just a little bit of money Won't have to drive too far Just 'cross the border and into the city You and I can both get jobs And finally see what it means to be living
  6. Nor does he belong there.
  7. Only the old timers will remember this:
  8. Really? My pretty strong guess is Mac Jones. The kid is VERY smart. Btw, if Jones is there at 15, it will be the most interesting pick of this draft imo. Remember, Saban and Belichick are friends for about 40 years. Belichick was at the Alabama pro day standing with Saban while Mac was throwing. Nick told him his true thoughts about Mac. Of this I am sure.
  9. That makes 2 of us LOL! Perhaps 1 AND 2.
  10. The thing is, lawyers, much like people in many professions, tend to like each other. The fact that it is much harder for lawyers to make big bucks these days also would seem to point towards a settlement imo. Which lawyer would be willing to risk a total loss in the case, ya know? The thing is, how does Watson settle without looking like a complete perv, let alone a man who abuses women? My guess is that he can only do so by shelling out HUGE bucks to the victims AND his legal team. I don't think someone without the big bucks could survive this, although he might not have to. Of course, the above is jmo.
  11. Darlin' all All I need Is just to hear you say You'll forgive me Forgive me baby All, all I need To have you touch my hand Say you'll understand
  12. Schobel was often lined up so wide that he had little to no chance of making a play. They also had him drop back in coverage, giving us zero pass rush. Later on, they would sometimes send Mario Williams into coverage. Also, do you remember when they had Dareus just standing in the middle flapping his arms? He looked like a giant seal. It was as if the Bills didn't want QB sacks. If a young Schobel was playing today, he would be at least a 15 million dollar per year speed rusher. Of course this is jmo.
  13. As you might of guessed, 90% (at least) of the colege games I watch are SEC games. I would watch Clemson if they played anybody. Once when Dak was playing Alabama, they all but killed him and he never quit. He was even able to run, throw on the run, and complete some passes. Like I said, I really wanted the Bills to draft him. Mond has the same type of frame and talent, or at least potential imo.
  14. I hope that he can play but I never saw anything that indicated that he was a good QB.
  15. I don't blame anyone and have nothing but thanks for everyone. I would have put Kellen Mond on the list. There is nothing to lose and if he got in to play (due to injury) even a little, his trade value would skyrocket. I also think that Trubisky sucks. Personally, Mond reminds me a bit of Dak Prescott. I was screaming for the Bills to draft Dak back in the day. He only fell because of an out of character DWI arrest. I was an inch away from picking him for the Dolphins lol.
  16. Kellen Mond QB Texas A&M
  17. I don't know but I couldn't even tape the full game because it switched to the app after 2 hours. The next show was called QB21 featuring Mac Jones. I suggest that those with serious doubts about Mac watch this show. He stands in front of a giant screen and explains his reads, etc. I am talking about really fast decision making. This kid is VERY smart and I think that he will be quite the success in the NFL.
  18. This rings a bell. I guess I was pushing it out of my head. What I DO remember is being at RWS and seeing Schobel lined up wider than any DE I had/have ever seen. He was very close to the sideline, and there was no chance of him being of any use at all. At this point, he was our only good pass rusher. The younger fans just don't know what we had to endure.
  19. It is. Sorry, I will edit that.
  20. I feel as if I'm in the minority, but I think that Aaron Schobel (in his prime) would be a GREAT fit in the league today. The main reason I think this is his speed. He really could fly off the line, as opposed to Kelsay. After a couple of years, he even developed some moves and got stronger. I will always believe that Schobel was a victim of both a piss poor, horrid organization and what I call the "Bobby Murcer Syndrome." Murcer was a very good player who took the place of Mickey Mantle, thus people said that he "sucked." He did not. Schobel was compared to Bruce Smith. Good luck with that.
  21. With pick #81, the Dolphins step up to the podium and to the surprise of many, select Shaun Wade - CORNERBACK - Ohio State University. An explanation is in order. Wade's stock has dropped considerably since the title game because he was toasted several times by Davonta Smith. My contention is that it would have happened to any corner in this draft. The thing is, he also had some good plays and good hits. As some might have guessed, I don't spend much time during the college season evaluating corners. I watch right guards more than corners. I liked some of what I saw of Wade, to include his tackling technique. He is big and strong, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him play safety. I think that the kid can play football and is a steal this late. @YoloinOhioand @Willyville Guyare in a better position than me to evaluate this selection. I think that my draft was very good if I do say so myself, to the point that I hope that it doesn't happen. I want extend my thanks to my man @Virgil and @whatdrought, as well as every poster who participated and made this a fun thing to do during these trying times. @Virgilis on the clock.
  22. And one that is typical of @Albany,n.y. 👍
  23. My order of preference was: 1) Darnold 2) Allen 3) Mayfield 4) Rosen I gave Rosen little to no chance of being good. While Darnold was my choice, I was thrilled when they drafted Allen. I suppose that I should, but I don't have an ounce of sympathy for Rosen, the poor little rich boy with the big mouth. This is true. I am thankful that we no longer have people handling our draft that are consistently stupid, worse than a 13 year old kid with a copy of Pro Football Weekly.
  24. Oh, I could say I need you But then you'd realize That I want you Just like a thousand other guys Who'd say they loved you With all the rest of their lies When all they wanted Was to touch your face, your hands And gaze into your eyes
  25. Are there any Tide fans to post their thoughts about the "A" Game? I for one was pleased with Bryce Young. In real games, he is going to run his way out a lot of trouble. I also came away thinking that he is smart and accurate. I also think that their defense (barring major injuries of course) is going to be easily the best in the NCAA. They appear to be solid and very deep in every area. Still, given the players that we are losing, if the Tide wins a title this year, it will be the best coaching job in the great, storied career of Coach Saban or any other college coach imo. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
