2020 vs. 2021 (Overall Quality).....
Bill from NYC replied to Bill from NYC's topic in College Football
The above leads me to question just how much the above factors are related. My early guess is quite a bit but again, it is early. -
Interesting. I tend to agree. Don't get me wrong, I will be beyond thrilled if they win a title, but losses don't seem to rip me apart like they used to. I'm almost sure that the main reason for this is that we are no longer a laughing stock of a franchise. That admittedly was getting a bit tough to take,

2020 vs. 2021 (Overall Quality).....

If I am correct, the above would be a smart idea. -
In the mornin,' when you rise Do you think of me and how you left me cryin'? Are you thinkin,' of telephones, and managers And where you got to be at noon? You are living a reality I left years ago It quite nearly killed me In the long run it will make you cry Make you crazy and old before your time And the difference between me and you I won't argue right or wrong But I have time to cry, my baby You don't have to cry

Knowing how early it is, I am getting the sense that the quality of this year's players doesn't seem to be as good as last year's. Does anyone agree? I'm thinking that at least so far, Alabama, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Clemson, and Florida have taken a step backwards and these are only the teams that immediately come to mind. Miami and UNC also look as if they have problems. The QB play sticks out to me as being clearly inferior. Will the 2022 draft not be so great? Again, it is early but I am wondering if anyone has noticed this or even thinks that it is possible. @Buffalo716 @BADOLBILZ @Willyville Guy @YoloinOhio

I was unhappy with the play calling by O'Brien. Very unhappy, and it started on the first drive. It was 3rd and 2 and he called a pass which was unsuccessful. What was he trying to prove? Even if they ran and didn't make it, it would have killed some time. Mercer would have had less time to chop block Alabama defenders. In fact, Mercer actually WON the TOP 30.09 -29.51. This was inexcusable imo. They could have run the ball more and won the game easily. O'Brien is calling plays up in the air. If Kiffen was on the field doing this, Saban would have ripped him a new one imo. I hope that he gets better soon because he will have to.

Old man lying by the side of the road With the lorries rolling by Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load And the buildings scrape the sky Cold wind ripping down the alley at dawn And the morning paper flies Dead man lying by the side of the road With the daylight in his eyes Don't let it bring you down It's only castles burning Find someone who's turning And you will come around

Your rain falls like crazy fingers Peals of fragile thunder, keeping time Recall the days that still are to come Some sing blue. Hang your heart on laughing willow Stray down to the water Deep sea of love Beneath the sweet calm face of the sea Swift undertow.

Going where the orange sun has never died And your swirling marble eyes shine Laughing Burning blue the light Bittersweet the drops of life Memories only fading Fancy colors Fancy colors All we ever did see When we're down at the sea We see things so very clear at the sea

Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?

Sadly, I'm going to run with approx. 52% of marriages. Don't get me wrong, sometimes your life will improve dramatically but going through a divorce is not fun. -
Once beneath the stars The universe was ours Love was all we knew And all I knew was you I wonder if you know I wonder if you think about it Once upon a time In your wildest dreams

The Athletic NFL 100 of all time
Bill from NYC replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Erik Williams was a superstar. When people talk about that Cowboy team they mostly mention Smith, Irvin, and Aikman. This is fine, but the 2 players folks forget are Erik Williams and Leon Lett. Neither one had the longest career but when they were at their peak they were great, even Hall of Fame level players. If either one was on the Bills we would have won multiple super bowls. Jmo. -

I am not so sure. Like I said, they don't play anybody. Who is going to beat them? Miami? They are going to win out by 40-50 points per game now. Teams that actually have to face strong opponents are at a disadvantage.

ACC, Big 10, Pac 12 Alliance
Bill from NYC replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in College Football
I too am pretty sure that plenty of supposedly great teams didn't play all that well against unranked teams on Saturday, no? I watched the Oklahoma game. They would have lost if they were not handed some awful calls by the refs, one in particular. They scored a bunch of points but I was not overly impressed by their supposed Heisman QB. That said, it was only 1 game. -

Not at all. What happened to Clemson last night is a great example of what usually happens when a team has the guts to step out of a pansy ass conference and play a top team. In fact, I think that Clemson will still reach the playoffs because their schedule is just that weak. They will probably win out the rest of their games by scores of 50-0. I don't know what's up with LSU (coaching?), but obviously they are a historically good team. There are no tough teams in the PAC 12 so yes, when one of those teams has the courage to play an SEC team I applaud them. How many teams do you think are lining up begging to play Alabama or Ohio State? -
Yesterday was his first ever time on the field at the LT position. The kid really has a promising future.
