The wings around here are smaller than they are in Buffalo and simply not as good. We have a place in NYC that makes great BBQ wings but there is no place around here where you can get Buffalo wings like the ones in WNY. Not one.

Losman, Spiller take rolls with Clemson
Bill from NYC replied to ManCrushPassRush's topic in College Football
Congrats and good luck to both!!! I also think that it's time to bet Georgia on opening week. I know that great players don't usually make great coaches but JP was simply horrible and Spiller scored a 10 on the Wonderlic test. What is Dabo thinking? -
Do I have to tell the story Of a thousand rainy days since we first met? It's a big enough umbrella But it's always me that ends up getting wet Every little thing she does is magic Everything she do just turns me on Even though my life before was tragic Now I know my love for her goes on

I was at the Eagle House last week and the wings were utterly superb.

Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?
Bill from NYC replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
Agreed except for Nirvana. I think that they were excellent. With you all the way on Creedence, even moreso with the Doors. Cars? Not so bad. -

I suppose I'm in the minority but I like him doing this more than I do playing Grateful Dead music. He is very talented. So is Warren Haynes but I don't consider what they do to be Grateful Dead music. Jmo.....nothing more/nothing less. -
Now there is an idea that I can easily wrap my head around!!! Alabama should be entitled to play the same easy conference games as other teams, especially (but not limited to) Clemson. I continue to make the case that most moves made by the NCAA are aimed at weakening Alabama. Your suggestion is a GREAT one!!! Yolo, do you think that the Big 10 wants more good teams in the conference?

I am STRONGLY against letting them in. Call me paranoid but virtually every major move in college football is designed to stop Saban and the Tide. The RPO's (with the OL being allowed to block 5 yards downfield), recruiting time restrictions (who outworks Saban?), playoff expansion, and now this. Alabama has a few easy games per year. It drives folks nuts but tell me, what team has no easy games? Clemson? Almost every game is against a weak, sorry opponent. Ohio State? They too have some very easy games. Notre Dame? Please. Alabama plays teams such as Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, etc. every season. Even most of the lesser SEC teams are really not so bad. In the playoffs (when we make it) we face the best of the rest. Now, they want to give us the added burden of facing 2 more strong teams. Great, but who will Oho State be forced to play? Every team in the PAC 10 sucks. Why don't they add some powerhouse programs? Since geography seems to not matter, why not throw Texas and OU into the ACC so Dabo will have to play a good conference opponent every now and then? Or, keep Texas and OU where they are and toss Notre Dame into the mix. Maybe if ND played a good team once in a while they wouldn't get their asses handed to them every time they get to the playoffs, no? Sorry for the rant but it irks me when things are stolen and/or when greatness is punished.

I'm looking at myself, reflections of my mind. It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind. So gently swaying through the fairy-land of love, If you could just come with me and see the beauty of Tuesday afternoon

Isn’t it great? 👍🆒❤️ How many went into the NFL from the right tackle position at Alabama in round 1? I can only think of one. I’m looking forward to the Bills winning the Super Bowl this season and the Tide returning to the playoffs. “Process,” ya know? ☝️

I wouldn't go THAT far, but blockers are a huge part of what makes The Tide able to compete with the top rate teams that they face. What amazes me about this kid is that he is lining up at RT, even though he seems quite coordinated. There are however two 5 star freshmen in the 2021 class who both look like special OTs. This year the offensive losses were SO big that they might be insurmountable. 2021 will be a HUGE challenge for Coach Saban. That said, this team might have the best defense in a long time. The second string linebackers and defensive backs would probably be top 10 units in the country. Will Anderson (soph) might really be the best defensive player in the NCAA. It is possible. The DL looks very good and deep as well. I don't bet football but I'm going to consider betting the under on a few games. They might even pitch a couple of shutouts this season. If you enjoy watching tough defensive college games, watch the Crimson Tide this year. Given the RPOs and the rule changes that strongly favor offenses, Saban will have a tough time for sure but the defense should crush people, starting September 4th. Jmo.

I love it that he went to the same school as Bryce Paup, who is now a coach thereat.

Yes, allegations of domestic abuse are often recanted in court, but when a police officer enters into a domestic dispute in which a person has a missing tooth, black eye, etc., somebody is leaving in handcuffs. I know of 2 current, prominent politicians in NYS who would have been arrested for having been in similar situations in the old days (I will not elaborate). This was before the OJ case, which changed police department policies and even laws (The Lautenberg Law for example) across America. Cops would come in with robbery arrests and be told to "watch their overtime." Others would bring in a domestic Assault 3 (misdemeanor assault, which would be the correct classification for this case in NYS) and be told "great job." Bosses were in fear of law suits and/or disciplinary action up to removal for NOT making arrests on domestics. As for the non-bolded, I strongly agree. Although I have seen it once or twice, it is extremely rare for a woman to just punch out a man unless she feels that she is in danger or is provoked in other ways. I wasn't there and have no way of knowing for sure but experience tells me that Haskins had some part in this, and I am not trying to justify violence. Even aided by good old alcohol, it is a big decision to physically attack an NFL player who is a genetic mutant, and quite possibly crazed on steroids. We may think of him as "just a qb," but he takes hits from men the size of Marcel Dareus, as well as the human missile safeties. Hits from normal humans might not even hurt him. As I said, it happens but not so often.

Every morning there's a heartache hangin' from the corner of my girlfriend's four-post bed I know it's not mine and I know she thinks she loves me but I never can believe what she said Something so deceiving When you stop believing Turn me around again Said we couldn't do it You know I wanna do it again

Truckin' up to Buffalo - Grateful Dead July 4, 1989 @ Rich Stadium
Bill from NYC replied to WhoTom's topic in Off the Wall
I have always thought that 1989 was the best of the Dead. The Philly show was off the charts great as well. Jerry even looked fairly sober. -
Here is a recent commit for the 2022 class. I absolutely love when kids like this decide to come to Tuscaloosa. He is in high school and looks like an NFL Right Tackle! ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
