  1. What I feel I can't say But my love is there for you any time of day But if it's not love That you need Then I'll try my best to make everything succeed Tell me, what is my life without your love? Tell me, who am I without you by my side?
  2. Mac Jones should be a good quarterback. I don't think that most fans are aware of just how smart this kid is. He does not have a skill set that even approaches that of Josh Allen, but how many players do? I look for Mac to be somewhere around Tony Romo or Kirk Cousins, but I have been wrong before lol.
  3. Well, what I will say is that when judging qbs, it is a good idea not to be seduced by arm strength alone. Ryan Mallet and Jeff George had arm strength at least as good as Josh. I thought Mallet would be a star. I saw him throw a 50 yard post pattern flat footed. The ball had almost no air under it and it looked like he was throwing a baseball. We know how he turned out. In addition to arm strength, Josh can run, is as strong as an ox, seems easy to coach, and works his ass off. He also seems like a great kid. He deserves every dollar of that contract.
  4. Allen was my second choice behind Darnold but I was thrilled when we were able to draft him. I knew that he could throw but I didn't know that the kid had an arm that I would place among the all time best I have ever seen. This includes distance and fastball. I have not been this confident in a qb since Kelly was young. This draft proved that Beane is smart enough to devote resources into protecting Josh. It really is a new day for long suffering Bills Fans.
  5. I see the cold mist in the night And watch the hills roll out of sight I watch in every single way, Inside out, outside in, every day The sun can warm the coldest dawn And move the movement on the lawn I learn in every single day, Inside out, outside in, every way
  6. Saban has said over and over again, with all of the questions he has been asked over decades by NFL Scouts, Coaches, and/or GMs, not one has ever asked him how a player looked in his freshman year. It can be to a player's advantage to sit for a while, especially a RB. Najee Harris barely saw the field as a freshman, and he is one of the best athletes I have ever seen. Freaking Derrick Henry sat for a year. You might remember Tim Williams. He played well at LB for the Tide put didn't do so well in the NFL. He had some issues. I heard him once say that when he went to Alabama he felt like in HS, he was the best player in his school if not his entire state. Then, he got on the field and realized that every player there probably was the best in their school and state. When players get to Alabama and see players that look like Najee Harris, Bo Scarborough, Derek Henry, etc., they realise how much more work they need lol.
  7. I don't doubt what you are saying to the extent that I am not qualified to. In fact, I consider it a privilege to be able to discuss these things with you. Pleae remember, while I don't have your vast knowledge of college footbll in it's entirety, I do know a bit about the Crimson Tide. One of the things I know is that not everybody is cut out to attend Alabama. MANY players (Marcel Dareus and Eddie Lacey to name 2) have openly stated that when the got to the NFL, workouts were MUCH easier. Players in Tuscalossa are busting their a$$ big time! I make the case that most of them know this before they get to Alabama. Another big misconception is that Alabama recruits dumb players. The truth is that Saban defenses (according to countless players) are more complicated than most in the NFL. If you listen to players such as Damien Harris, Mac Jones, Najee Harris and a host of others speak, these are very smart young men. I am not claiming that every player is a Rhodes Scholar, but I woud bet money that our players are above the norm compared to other teams. My point is that I don't think that coming to play football at Alabama is all about players getting paid. Players have a MUCH better chance at success for numerous reasons, some of which I listed above.
  8. Alabama has less of a need to pay players than do other schools simply because of the money these kids are making in the NFL. Some of the biggest contracts we are seeing are from Alabama grads. Did you see the money that Jonathan Allen just signed for? They are churning out first round picks like nobody else, and some of the highest paid vets are Alabama grads. Didn't they change the times that teams are allowed to talk to recruits? They did so because Saban outworks other coaches. He didn't win all of his titles in a vacuum. He did so by working harder than other coaches and by having (and inventing btw) the." process."
  9. Wow, that's enough to make one think that teams that are losing football games shouldn't waste a top 10 pick on a first round corner!!! Nah, never mind.
  10. I don't mind when the tide, sets the sun to the moon I just don't want to be lonely Let the stairs find you there, at the end of the room I just don't want to be lonely (Just don't want to be lonely)
  11. I have heard him state the above numerous times, and he also said that many teams don't want to play him. Oh, and Alabama already has the toughest schedule virtually every season, especially when one counts the playoffs. But, haters are going to hate.
  12. It's much too groovy a summer's day To waste running 'round in the city But here on the sand I can dream away Or look at the girls in their pretty It's a turn down day, nothin' on my mind It's a turn down day and I dig it
  13. I could have picked "Sitting in the Park" or "I Do Love You" but instead I picked this classic from a great singer with an original style. Billy Stewart died WAY too young.
  14. They make a fortune on these openers at Georgia and Dallas. Not all of the money goes to football either. I read somewhere that they are now ranked 2nd academically in the SEC. They are up in these parts handing out academic scholarships. It is no longer unusual to see kids with t-shirts that say "Roll Tide." Btw, they signed on to play Oklahoma State home and away. https://okstate.com/news/2021/6/8/osu-alabama-to-play-football-home-and-home-series.aspx
  15. Jealousy and bitterness will tear you apart. ROLL TIDE #18!!!!!
  16. Nothing's for certain It could always go wrong Come in when it's raining Go on out when it's gone We could have us a high time Living the good life Well I know
  17. Clemson glides into the playoffs healthy from their easy schedule. Not only that, they give their young second stringers more playing time because they can with a 70-0 lead. As far as Miami and UNC, we will have to wait and see. Once again, who do they play? How would they fare against teams like Ole Miss, Miss. St, Auburn, LSU, Fla., or Alabama? My guess is not so well. I truly believe that the media talks up ACC teams to generate interest, and that they really know that it is a one team conference. As always, jmo. I could be wrong Yolo but I was under the impression that he was talking more about major teams. I am also under the impression that the line of prominent programs wanting to play against the Crimson Tide (and for that matter Ohio State) is not very long. Once again, jmo.
  18. What lots of fans don't grasp is that many teams refuse to play Alabama. Saban has said this at numerous press conferences. Their schedule this season is a tough one. Clemson plays Georgia and a bunch of weak sisters.
  19. A choke of grief heart hardened I Beyond belief a broken man too tough to cry Surf's Up Aboard a tidal wave Come about hard and join The young and often spring you gave I heard the word Wonderful thing A children's song One of Brian Wilson's creepiest songs as he was sadly losing his mind,
  20. I recently retired from the federal govt. It took more than 4 months to get a pension check. I asked my congressman to step in. He never answered me, but did send me a letter several months later telling me all that he is doing for the community. You would have been proud of my response. I am retired from the city and the feds. I can speak more freely these days lol! Good luck Brother!
  21. Birds sing out of tune And rain clouds hide the moon I'm okay, here I'll stay With my loneliness I don't care what they say I won't stay In a world without love
  22. So many people are working from home John. Many of them fired their child care workers and are getting paid to watch their kids. Welcome to the new age.
  23. I am shocked that Dabo would even consider coming to the SEC @YoloinOhio. For example, they open against Georgia (yes, they actually open against a good team) this season. Even if they lose, a case can be made that they will only play teams that range from horrid to so-so for the remainder of the season. We will find out alot about Miami on 9/4, no? In other words, Clemson is seemingly a lock for even a 4 team playoff before the season even starts. In the SEC they will actually have to play against good football teams!!! I suppose that cash is king, which you alluded to in another post. If this happens we will get a clearer picture of just how good Dabo is imo. I am not saying that Dabo isn't good or possibly even great. I AM saying that he never had to play a schedule like Alabama does and for that matter, Ohio State. Jmo.
  24. This does make sense. I like Daboll more than many on this board seem to, and I think that he will get multiple offers next season. But, as I said; your comment does make sense.
  25. Is everything all right? I just called to say how lost I feel without you Miles away I really can't believe I'm here and how I still care about you Hearts can break And never mend together Love can fade away Hearts can cry When love won't stay forever Hearts can be that way
