  1. Can you believe that the NY Knicks offered Baldwin a contract? They say that he is a great foul shooter.
  2. I ain't no vision, I'm the man who loves you inside and out Backwards and forwards with my heart hanging out I love no other way What am I gonna do if we lose that fire?
  3. This does put the situation in a different light. 157 mph? Loaded gun? It seems almost suicidal in addition to being criminal imo.
  4. This might not be a popular thing to say but DWI is a crime that is often committed by men and women who did not, or don't as a rule commit other criminal acts. Many would be surprised at exactly who was/will be driving home after parties during the upcoming holiday season. Ma and Pa Legit will be all over our roads in December, tanked. Lots of these folks are also doing other things that would seem out of character after these parties. Alcohol is a very strange substance. Now, when a Crip gets locked up for a gang related shooting, do you think that he will almost always have a sheet full of prior serious crimes? The answer is of course he will! Crime is a part of everyday life to many people right here in this country. There is no reason to believe that Ruggs is one of these people. Now, the above doesn't help the family of the deceased, nor does it make what Ruggs did OK. He deserves to be punished and certainly will be. He is not a politician who can kill someone and get away with it.
  5. No shame in that John. i can't imagine how far back corners would have to play with Josh throwing to Ruggs. Josh could hit him on a 70 yard fly pattern.
  6. Night and day Why is it so? That this longing for you Follows wherever I go In the roarin' traffic's boom In the silence of my lonely room I think of you
  7. I completely respect your opinion but I am unable to see how you could arrive at it. When a person is intox they are sometimes unable to make a rational, planned decision, unlike for instance a divorced man who murders his ex wife because she screwed around, or he doesn't want to pay child support. Gang violence is another example. I am unable to place DUI in a class with the above offenses but as I said, I respect how you feel. On another note, people who read my posts know that I am an Alabama Fan and have been for decades. I must say that some Alabama players go off the rails when they get away from Coach Saban, who has all but complete control over these kids. Dareus and Reuben Foster are 2 great examples. If Foster kept his head on straight he would be the best ILB in the NFL by a wide margin imo. I never heard of any signs of Ruggs being a bad kid. What I DO see is that perhaps the fastest man in the NFL might have just taken a life and thrown away his own. Very sad indeed.
  8. OK but do you think that a person in Rugg's situation deserves the same sentence as someone who intentionally murders someone? Or someone who rapes and murders a woman? I'm sure that I know your answer to both of these questions. I'm just pointing out that there are different degrees of murder, and this would seem to fall into the manslaughter category if it happened in NY. The intent was almost certainly not there and his prior record (whatever it happens to be) should surely be taken into account. That said, I pray for the victim and his or her family.
  9. Stand! In the end you'll still be you One that's done all the things you set out to do Stand! There's a cross for you to bear Things to go through if you're going anywhere
  10. Don't know if words can say But darlin' i'll find a way To let you know what you meant to me Guess it was meant to be I hold you in my heart As life's most precious part Oh darlin' I dream about you often my pretty darlin' (darlin' you're so fine) I love the way you soften my life with your love Your precious love uh huh oh
  11. Agreed. I don't even count out LSU or Arkansas tbh. With last season's offense I would be yawning thinking about these games.
  12. I think that GA looks better than Alabama right now but I will not count out Nick Saban until he is eliminated. That said, if he can overcome the HUGE losses on offense and win another title it will be his greatest coaching accomplishment ever imo.
  13. If they play Bama for the conference championship I would be quite hesitant to call it a cupcake/easy game. Is the Tide as good as last they were last season? No way. Cupcake? Not even close.
  14. Dressed myself in green I went down to the sea Try to see what's going down Try to read between the lines Had a feeling I was falling, falling, falling Turned around to see Heard a voice a-calling, calling, calling You was coming after me Back to me
  15. Glad I didn't waste my time with the GA/FLA game.
  16. Takin' my time, Usin' my line, Tryin' to decide what to do. Looks my my stop, Don't wanna get off, Got myself hung up on you. Seems to me, You don't want to talk about it. Seems to me, You just turn your pretty head and Walk Away
  17. Not for everybody, this is really old school......
  18. I'm not sure that there is or ever has been better guitar playing on any song than there is on "Free Bird," and this is comning from a 50 year Greatful Dead fan.
  19. Everybody is a star I can feel it when you shine on me I love you for who you are Not the one you feel you need to be Ever catch a falling star? Ain't no stopping 'til it's in the ground Everybody is a star One big circle goin' 'round and 'round
  20. They call me Hell They call me Stacey They call me her They call me Jane That's not my name That's not my name That's not my name That's not my name They call me 'quiet' But I'm a riot Mary-Jo-Lisa Always the same That's not my name That's not my name That's not my name That's not my name
  21. Our love has got the power Too many lovers in one lifetime Ain't good for you You treat me like a vision in the night Someone there to stand behind you When your world ain't working right I ain't no vision, I am the man Who loves you, inside and out Backwards and forwards with My heart hanging out I love no other way
  22. Never heard of this in NYC or L.I.
  23. Agreed wrt Incog. I don't count Wood as a guard. Levitre was excellent imo. He was not a mauler, but he got great angles on his blocks and was a LT in college which really helped him in pass protection, but remember; I was talking about 2 decades of guards lol! I know that @BADOLBILZ will remember how much I praised Levitre. Btw when the Bills refused to sign him as a ufa, his career seemed to fall apart. I suspect that he was hurt. Either way, it wound up being the right move. Those were tough times to be a Bills fan but we really stayed with them on this board. Going off topic a bit, do you remember Jairus Byrd? At one point he was intercepting passes seemingly at will. @BADOLBILZ posted that most of his interceptions were the result of lucky bounces and the board went NUTS defending Byrd. Nobody believed Badol. Well, the bounces stopped going his way, combined with some odd sounding injury and that was the end of him. This as I recall was when Levitre was here. Things like the above are the reason I don't complain so much these days. I remember all too well about bad guard play. I could probably list 20 guards we had that ranged from below average to flat out terrible. I am enjoying Bills games now! Super Bowl Bound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
