I don't think I agree with your entire post but it's hard to argue with the bolded.

I've been trying to tell you people that corners should not be drafted early!

I don't understand what happened to Jace Sternberger. He was excellent in college and I projected him to be an excellent tight end. Did he get hurt?

And now, a quarter of my life is almost passed I think I've come to see myself at last And I see that the time spent confused Was the time that I spent without you And I feel myself in bloom So darling be home soon I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdled My darling be home soon It's not just these few hours but I've been waiting since I toddled For the great relief of having you to talk to

Every morning there's a heartache hanging From the corner of my girlfriend's four-post bed I know it's not mine and I know she thinks she loves me But I never can believe what she said Something so deceiving When you stop believing Turn me around again Said we couldn't do it You know I wanna do it again

Who is on your All-Time Buffalo Bills Mt. SHUSHmore?
Bill from NYC replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not necessarily in order..... 1) Marcus Spriggs - Guard He was just so bad that he was dangerous. I'm surprised nobody was killed. Not only that, after his QB got hit late and was laying on the turf bleeding, he just walked away. Yeah, I'm going to say he is first on my list after all. 2) Jerry Ostroski - Guard Jerry was a strong player. The problem was that it took him what seemed like a week to get out of his stance. By the time he straightened his back just a bit, defenders has already sped by him. He also got a big (for the time) contract and insisted on playing center. He was terrible. 3) Donte Whitner - Safety He makes the list not because he was a bad player. He was decent, but was also one of the most idiotic draft choices that I have ever seen. There were several VERY good players that the horrid combination of Levy/Jauron (and I do mean HORRID) passed on to take Lil' Donte (who by the way held out, and had some baby mama issues before arriving to camp). And yes, I know that it was not his fault that he was drafted at #8. I already blamed those responsible. 4) Leodis McKelvin Another inexplicably stupid draft choice for which the player was not to blame. The right side of the Bills OL was Erik Pears at RG and Seantrel Henderson at RT. The Bills took Leodis at #11. Ryan Clady went at #12 and Branden Albert was taken at #15. I used to allow myself to get very angry on draft day to the point where a few posters would call me on the phone to hear my string of obscenities. I can remember watching Leodis make stupid mistakes and losing my temper. Thankfully I gained much self control. -
Oh, drawn into the stream Of undefined illusion Those diamond dreams They can't disguise the truth That there is something about you Baby, so right I wouldn't be without you Baby, tonight

Why was Sammy Watkins a bust?
Bill from NYC replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hated that pick and that entire draft, although Preston Brown was a decent pick. Sammy's QB was EJ Manuel and it was already fairly clear that he was a bust. After Sammy they drafted Kouandjio in round two.. He played at Alabama and I said after the draft that he was the 4th or 5th best blocker on that team, AND he was injured. Then they drafted two other stiffs for the OL. I thought at the time that Whaley (what a surprise) overpaid to trade up and still think so. We gave up all that to bring Sammy to a rudderless ship. Not only that, we could have stayed at #9 and taken one of several excellent wide receivers or blockers instead of giving up the store for Watkins. Most here probably won't remember but Whaley could have remained at #9 and drafted Aaron Donald (who you were calling for before that draft). He went at #14. Some will say that this is hindsight and maybe it is to some degree, but I repeat; you posted BEFORE the draft that you wanted the Bills to select Donald. What really freaks me out is that this was 10 years ago. It seemed to go by in an instant. https://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/years/2014 -

I still fail to understand how these mistakes at WR, in addition to the entire draft philosophy is more of a reflection on Beane than McDermott, who obviously has the more power of the two. McDermott is a defensive coach and has proven that defense it his top priority since the day he walked into town. After trading away the Mahomes pick (to draft a cornerback) he got Beane hired and continued down the defensive path, even trading up to do so. My question is: Is Beane really even a football man or a mix of money manager and CEO?

So did Jerry Ostroski.

When you were young and on your own How did it feel to be alone? I was always thinking of games that I was playing Trying to make the best of my time But only love can break your heart Try to be sure right from the start Yes, only love can break your heart What if your world should fall apart?

I was never a fan of the Cowboys, ever. That said, they had some GREAT linemen on both sides of the ball. Guys lile Smith, Dorsett, Irving and Aikman seemed to get all the credit but the likes of Larry Allen, Leon Lett, and Erik Williams were flat out scary. I have never seen a right tackle as good as Erik Williams and I'm not sure there ever was one even in his class. Jason Peters was our right tackle for a season before moving to LT and imo he was the best player on the team (so of course he was traded). Peters was a superstar but again, Erik Williams was in a class by himself, as was Larry Allen. Jmo.

Imo Gabe Davis IS an example of an inflated market. Let's see how many passes he catches (and/or drops) without Josh Allen throwing to him.
-
And you have ZERO issues with his rape allegation. Am I correct?

It will be interesting to see how many get bent out of shape, as they did for the recent, more publicized incident.
