Yolo, if Chris Allen comes back to school next season (he just might after suffering a bad injury and missing the season), Alabama will be bursting at the seams with excellent OLBs. Again, IF he comes back, they will have at least 5 OLBs that would start anywhere. In fact, even if he does not return we will probably lose one of them, and they are all great players. It would be a reversal of fortunes from this season. Alabama probably would not have made the playoffs without Jameson and I can't stress enough how talented these OLBs are.

I will tell you that I am 100% positive that this Alabama team is simply not as good as the 2020 team. i don't even think that it is close. The 6 tremendous players that they lost on offense are kicking ass in then NFL as rookies. The thing is, I get the feeling that many other teams also got worse. Perhaps Oklahoma, Ohio State, and certainly Clemson are examples. I am not overly confident coming into the title game. It makes me uncomfortable because the last time I felt like this was when Clemson beat us. But as you imply, Saban teams almost always have a good shot at winning. He is in a class with no other.

Indeed and back atcha. Did you check out Brian Branch yesterday? 8 total tackles, 6 solo, 1/2 sack, and 2 passes defended, one of which was an outstanding play! That said, almost nobody knows who he is. Even Daniel Wright had a HUGE tackle for a 10 yard loss. Alabama doesn't only win because of superstars. There sure are fewer of them this year than last. They also win with depth and of course coaching. The next game will not be easy but let's see what happens. I wish I could agree with you buy imo Georgia is WAY better than you seem to think they are. In fact, I read somewhere that Georgia is opening at minus 3 1/2. What I am confused about it the quality of the Big Ten in 2021. I just can't tell how good they are and after the GA/Mich game I am even more confused.

Whre would you suspect? Private and/or parochial schools. In NYC for example, there are virtually no white children in almost all schools, especially the high schools. Sad indeed.

I didn't say that I am sure it will happen; I was just broaching the possibility. When push comes to shove, many players want to play on the big stage. Henry To'o To'o is a prime example. He could have stayed at Tennessee but their program is floundering, and has been for some time. Now he is calling signals at Alabama and imo, would be an interesting draft pick at ILB. He already got great exposure (the SEC Title Game vs. GA) and is headed for the playoffs. Scouts and GMs obviously watch these games. I'm not sure if you caught this but Alabama recently signed former LSU Cornerback Eli Ricks from the portal, and he is at least in the top 5 corners in the NCAA. They also just signed an excellent RB in Jahmyr Gibbs from Georgia Tech. Btw Saban wasn't a fan of the tranfer portal and warned that the rich would get richer. He tends to know what he is talking about.

As I recall, he was 4th if not 5th string. I'm serious. When he transferred out, nobody cared as far as I know. I too wish him well except for Saturday.

He never really recovered from the injury. I think that he will. I will say that almost every poster on this board said that Mac Jones would suck. Some still think this. I do not. He will never, ever be as good as Josh, but the kid is smart and he can play. Every year before the draft I rate the Alabama players. Of course I have missed on some, but I’m usually close. Last season was easy.
