  1. I think that we should agree to disagree.
  2. Maybe not the toughest task?
  3. Marv was horrible on draft day, almost to the point of Rich Kotite bad if not his equal. Whitner? He was a stunningly bad pick. He was taken at #8 as an undersized safety in a loaded draft. Kyle Williams was a GREAT pick in 2006. Every other pick in that draft was a disaster and we were stacked with early picks. We even traded up to take John McGargo who was unspeakably bad. Langston Walker was terrible, as was Derrick Dockery who Levy made a very rich man. As I recall they were both free agent signings, idiotic at that. Levy stayed on too long as head coach. By the time he was GM he was inept and senile, but look at who hired him. Levy seems like a nice man, but I am talking about football here. Sorry, I thought that the screen name was selected to be humorous.
  4. Either way, your screen name easily ranks in the top 10 in the history of this board.
  5. Let's not forget how pissed off you were when they drafted Cody Ford. This board was chock full of glee when he was drafted, and do count me as perhaps the happiest poster of the bunch lol. I had just watched him play very well against a tough Alabama defense in the college playoffs and was bubbling with joy when we selected him. When you said that he was a bad pick and even ridiculed his play just a bit, I could not understand why you were doing so, not even a little. After having seen your almost exclusively correct takes (including White btw) for 20 or so years, I went as far as to think to myself "I wonder wtf is up with Badol." 😂 Well, it turned out that I failed to take into account that his QB (Kyler Murray) was not all that hard to protect. Oh.....and every defense in his conference that he played against sucked. Also, most of the points that Oklahoma did score in the playoffs were garbage points late in the game. The game was all but over by the half. Silly me. In any event, keep those takes coming! Btw, imo this draft class appears to be weak as compared to 2021. Do you agree?
  6. How many sacks does Ed Oliver have this season?
  7. Fair enough.
  8. OK but would you mind telling us which rookie QB (other than Trevor Lawrence) you would rather have on your team than Mac Jones? Wilson? Lance? Fields lol? C'mon, seriously.........
  9. Why not make it 32 teams like in basketball? After all, what difference does it make that the risk of a career threatening injury is enormous? If it does go to 8, the fans of sub-par teams will still not be happy. Btw, the Cincinnati team that everybody is fawning over is starting a running back who was 5th string on Alabama. Their chances of winning a title are all but non-existant, and this is probably the best Group of 5 team in our time. I understand that we all in a way resemble the fans of gladiators in the Roman days. I just don't think it is fair to expect college kids (mostly from extremely poor backgrounds) to play even more games and risk losing millions of dollars. Jmo. If you think that they are, please explain why they shoud not be.
  10. There's a band out on the highway They're high steppin' into town It's a rainbow full of sound It's fireworks, calliopes and clowns Everybody dancin' C'mon children, c'mon children Come on, clap your hands
  11. I wish I was a headlight, on a north bound train I wish I was a headlight, on a north bound train I'd shine my light through the, cool Colorado rain
  12. I don't know much about thc. What I DO know is that even when I was a kid, edibles such as weed or hash brownies were VERY strong to the point of making one unable to drive. I am also told that today, weed is at the very least twice as strong as it was decades ago. A woman who is a personal friend of mine passed out in Central Park while at a concert just from smoking weed (no alcohol). I hope that this explains my reaction.
  13. Yes he played to a very high standard.
  14. I suppose they are good to have around in case you want to shoot someone and don't want the gun traced.
  15. Agreed. I was also thinking that it's pretty cool not to drive around stoned out on thc and kill somebody.. He must not have read your post about driving around while doing thc.
  16. Good morning mister sunshine, you brighten up my day Come sit beside me, in your way I see you every morning, outside the restaurants The music plays so nonchalant Lonely days, lonely nights. Where would I be without my woman? Lonely days, lonely nights. Where would I be without my woman?
  17. Ya think? At draft time he was often ridiculed. Even here, people posted pictures of him and laughed at his physique. It was said that he was only good because he had great players around him and as hard as I defended him, the truth is that he did have better offensive players in college than he has now. Tell me, now who would you want on your team coming out of last season's draft class, the kids on the Jets and the 49ers or Mac Jones? Although he has not really proven himself yet, I put Trevor Lawrence on a higher plateau than anyone I have seen in decades. Despite the fact that I believe that Mac is the rel deal, the Pats are not even close to being as good as the Bills. I would love to see the Bills face tha Pats in the playoffs so we can roll over them. As much as I believe in Mac, he ain't no Josh Allen, AND we have a much better all around team.
  18. I would love to completely believe the above but neither Arkansas nor Auburn (on the road)) is a given imo. I think that the way for Bama to defeat these teams is on defense. Last season, the offensive losses through graduation were impossible even for Saban to replace. They lost a great quarterback, 2 great receivers, a smart, dominating center, the best running back in the NCAA, and a first round left tackle. All of them are producing in the NFL. Remember, The Tide only had 1 close game in 2020, this with an all SEC schedule and 2 playoff games. This year is another story. Imo if Alabama wins the title this season (which btw I am not at all ready to predict), it will be the biggest coaching accomplishment of Saban's illustrious career. I'm not saying that they are not good, or even very good, but; I am saying that the offense doesn't even compare to 2020. As always, jmo.
  19. Call me crazy but I think that the committee is usually on point.
  20. Well, he's tellin' us this And he's tellin' us that Changes it every day Says it doesn't matter Bases are loaded and Casey's at bat Playin' it play by play Time to change the batter And we don't need the ladies Crying 'cause the story's sad Rocky Mountain Way Is better than the way we had
  21. Well, my mind is goin' through so many changes I'm goin' right out of my mind Every time ya see me goin' somewhere I could commit a big ole crime, yeah She had me runnin' She had me ridin' She had me runnin', hidin', ridin', runnin' She had me runnin' She had me hidin' Had me runnin That's right, yeah
  22. Watch out now, take care Beware of thoughts that linger Winding up inside your head The hopelessness around you In the dead of night Beware of sadness
  23. I agree 100%. He has taken enough punishment and I hope that he doesn't need the money. I cannot see how more pounding to the head can end well.
  24. Mac Jones is a good kid and he is VERY smart. Before the draft, some posters were laughing at his physique and his supposed lack of talent. Mac looks as if he was underrated not just on this board, but by NFL coaches, scouts, and GMs. Btw, coming into 2020 I too underrated him to the point that I thought that Bryce Young would start for Alabama as a freshman. But heading into the draft, I knew what he could do. Mac is not and never will be Josh Allen, but if he stays healthy he has a long lucrative career in front of him, or so it really does seem. And once again, he is very smart. WAY too smart to purposely injure a defender. Every defensive player in the league is probaby tougher than Mac. Purposely causing an injury to one of them would be just to idiotic for a kid like Mac to do even if he is a bad guy, which he is not.
  25. I could not agree more and call me crazy but this includes Georgia imo. Hey, the way Alabama looks they really might not even play UGA for the conference title. That said, IF they make it that far they still have Nick Saban and an improving defense. A 5 star OLB named Dallas Turner kicked ass against LSU. Now, playing opposite Will Anderson takes blockers away from him, but; this kid might be great!!! Still, our offense looks weak, especially up front. In summary, I am not quite ready at this point to hand everything to Georgia, as good as they do look.
