  1. Because imo, he has far too much power in the organization and he is too defense oriented, thus depriving a GREAT quarterback (the best we ever had), of weapons he could use to win us a Super Bowl.
  2. My thinking is that if you think a player is good enough, take him. If you like a player THAT much, why trade down not once but twice and for minimal return? In other words, McDermott took two chances on losing Coleman. I hope the kid is a superstar but if they were willing to gamble that much on losing out on him, how good should I expect him to be? How would you explain what happened?
  3. And even that was primarily due to the drop off at the QB position with Milroe (and the fact that he is a good runner), or so it would seem. If it were up to me yes, McDermott would be fired. Beane is more of an afterthought imo.
  4. GREAT post but you are beating your head against the wall. Soon you will be shouted down and told that Beane (and NOT McDermott) is calling the shots. As every poster on this board knows, McDermott traded away the Mahomes pick to draft a cornerback before Beane was even working for the Buffalo Bills. In fact, it was almost certainly McDermott who got Beane hired, and probably could fire him at will. Since then McDermott has focused primarily on defense wrt top draft choices and expensive free agents. Beane is a smart man but I'm not really sure if he has a scouting background. McDermott calls the shots and in doing so has deprived our FANTASTIC superstar QB of the weapons he needs and fully deserves.
  5. Keon Coleman by far. I am NOT saying that he won't be good. What I'm saying is that I didn't, and still do not understand the manner in which he was chosen. Josh Allen is our future HOF QB. If you think that a receiver is THAT good, why on earth would one trade down not once but twice before selecting him? He seems to have this dynamic personality. Let's hope that his selection was not something of a publcity stunt for fan appeal. Look, am I happier to see Coleman drafted early than another CB, MLB, or DT? Yes, much happier and I thank McDermott for doing this, but again; the fact that he would trade down not even once but twice before selecting him causes me to raise an eyebrow. That said, let's hope to see him rip the league apart and score 20 touchdowns or more!!!
  6. Well, at least McDermott got him a receiver early in this draft (after trading down twice for minimal return). He showed Josh just how much he wanted to bring him weapons. You see? With McDermott calling the shots there is always good news.
  7. You speak a lot about Beane's expectations. Do you seriously believe that Beane will have any say in the amount of playing time that Coleman will see? I mean really.
  8. You raise a good point omf but players today are getting faster, not slower.
  9. We took this trip to Garden Grove It smelled like Lou-dog inside the van, oh yeah This ain't no funky reggae party, $5 at the door It gets so real sometimes, who wrote my rhyme I've got the microwave, got the VCR I got the deuce-deuce in the trunk of my car, oh yeah

  12. I was lyin' in a burned-out basement With a full moon in my eyes I was hopin' for replacement When the sun burst through the sky There was a band playin' in my head And I felt like getting high I was thinkin' about what a friend had said I was hopin' it was a lie Thinkin' about what a friend had said I was hopin' it was a lie
  13. None at all. I am just constantly amazed at how many folks think that Beane has more than, or even an equal say wrt the draft than does McDermott. Certain coaches control the draft for their respective teams.
  14. Wait, do you think that Shanny controls the draft in SF?
  15. Top 10? He belongs in the Hall of Fame.
  16. Sadly, I voted over. I think that only injuries could prevent him from going over and I hope to be dead wrong.

Here there may be tigers to punch you in the ear With gloves of stainless steel, bats carved out of bricks Knock you down and beat you up and give your ass a kick When push comes to shove, you're afraid of love Shaking in the desert, now wherefore do you cry? Here there may be rattlesnakes to punch you in the eye With shotgun's full of silver, and bullet's made of glass String barbed wire at your feet that will not let you pass When push comes to shove, you're afraid of love
