Who will be the #1 pick in the draft?
Bill from NYC replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they draft an OT, he doesn't necessarily have to start at LT as a rookie. I think that the Jags would be insane, and I am talking Marv Levy/Rich Kotite caliber idiots to not draft an OT to protect Trevor Lawrence, who is immensely talented. Can we pretend that he is not? Oh yeah, but the kid has Josh Allen type talent. Teams that fail to protect these kind of stars deserve the failure that certainly does await them. -

I will get into Neal and the other draft eligible players in a week or 2 as I do every year. I saw every snap that Neal ever played in at Alabama and have some strong opinions about him, Williams, Metchie, etc. -

It is, but I am all but sure that the first round will be much better in 2023. This draft reminds me just a bit of the one where we drafted EJ Manuel. I would love an extra first round pick in 23. Jmo. http://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/years/2013 -

If we trade down I want the deal to include a #1 for 2023. This draft is generally weak imo, not even close to 2021. Jmo. -

You say that once knew for sure But now you're walkin' into shore to wonder* The more you learn the less you know The more you move the more you go to nowhere* You ask a bird as she flies by Just where she's at she says, where the wind blows*

Bills interested in signing Rob Gronkowski, per Tim Graham
Bill from NYC replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
All kidding aside, the above is profound. Is that one of those cool AA sayings? -
Agreed. That said, (although not consecutive) Whitner/McCargo/Youboty/Simpson in 2006 are the worst 4 in a row I have ever seen, and Levy actually traded up to get these losers.

What is the BEST pick you would trade for Saquon Barkley?
Bill from NYC replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would make the trade if the Giants gave us a first round pick for taking him. -
I'm really not sure if there is anything left to discuss.

There was a crooked man and he had a crooked smile Had a crooked sixpence and he walked a crooked mile Had a crooked cat and he had a crooked mouse They all lived together in a crooked little house Oh, no, don't let the rain come down (Ah, ah) Oh, no, don't let the rain come down (Ah, ah) Oh, no, don't let the rain come down My roof's got a hole in it and I might drown Oh, yes, my roof's got a hole in it and I might drown

I tried Jersey Mike's last week for the first time. I bought a small roast beef with provolone. It was tiny, bland, and consisted of 3 thin slices of each. I think it came to 8 dollars and change. Never again. Jmo.

What an idiotic way to try and create support. It even appears that he is looking for sympathy.

Don't leave false illusion behind Don't cry, I ain't changing my mind So find another fool like before 'Cause I ain't gonna live anymore Believing Some of the lies While all of the signs are deceiving I am the eye in the sky, looking at you I can read your mind I am the maker of rules, dealing with fools I can cheat you blind

A nice prospect to groom if Feliciano gets the boot.
Bill from NYC replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed, but there is some chance of him being there as well, mainly because he played at a small school. We would have a more adequate picture of the kid if he played at Texas A&M for example against far better competition. In this sense, he becomes a bit of a risk. Also, there seems to be a glut of talented LTs in this draft which is fairly unusual, and this could also make him fall to us. Given all of this, drafting this kid would be a dream come true for me. NOTHING is more important than protecting Josh Allen, who has enough talent to be in the Hall of Fame some day. Let me say that again.....NOTHING. Not even a first round corner!!! 😮😲😮 -
You say you fear I'll change my mind I won't require you Never my love Never my love

Kareem Hunt: Cut candidate. Possible 2022 Bill?
Bill from NYC replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall
I worked with a guy who was an old timer from Brooklyn. He was married and constantly cheated on his wife. Once, when talking about these women he told me "I expect my broads to be loyal." He was being serious. I knew he was crazy and I was too young to speak up, but I never forgot this. One all but never hears this term these days, or at least I do not. -
In hindsight, what’s your worst “hot take” on TSW ever?

The honesty in this thread is just great!!!! I almost forgot.....when they let Pat Williams walk, I figured that he MUST be past his prime!!! 😁 -

I truly do admire the honesty. I was 100% sure that Rob Johnson was going to be a great quarterback. It took me WAY too long to finally admit that he just didn't have it.
