  1. Branden Albert.
  2. Yes and the Levy/Jauron years were worse yet.
  3. The Patriots select Darian Kinard - Guard - Kentucky Kinnard was a successful LT at Kentucky who is projected to guard in the NFL. He was coached by Eric Wolford who did so well that Alabama got rid of Doug Marrone and hired Wolford to replace him. More protection for Jones and blocking for the ground game. I am surprised that he lasted this long. I almost didn't select him because I wanted him to be in the Bills poll lol. @aristocrat is on the clock.
  4. This thread belongs in PPP. It is impossible to explain what has happened in NYC without getting into politics to some degree, and I'm not willing to go there. What I feel like I can say is that thousands of people are leaving NYC. Houses on Long Island are selling for at least 5% over the asking prices. There are bidding wars on houses, sight unseen. I know this to be true; my daughter bought one. In addition to Long Island, folks are moving to Florida, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and other states. In NYC, the crime rates are soaring in every category and the city is filthy. You are putting your life on the line riding on the subway. People (mainly women, Asians, and Hasidic Jews) are getting stabbed and tossed onto the train tracks. I could go on, but not without sounding political. It will take the city years to recover, assuming that it will (it usually does).
  5. How much cap space would his retirement save/cost?
  6. In 2008, my friend @RRich told me that Brandon Albert coming out of UVA would be an all time great guard. I believed him and was 100% sold and was SO hoping that the Bills would draft him. Of course, we did not. Instead we took CB Leotis McKelvin at #11. OT Ryan Clady went next at 12, Albert went at #15. McKelvin took several years to be decent. Albert (who played guard his entire college career) turned out to be a fine LEFT TACKLE in the NFL. My point? I believe that drafting a first round guard is not a good move in almost every case. But, if a GM really does believe that there is a Larry Allen type HOF guard out there, drafting him in round 1 would be a wise move, especially on a team (like the 2008 Bills mind you) that has a critical shortage of good blockers. As always, JMO.
  7. I can pull up by the curb, I can make it on the road, Goin' mobile I can stop in any street And talk with people that we meet Goin' mobile Keep me moving, mmm
  8. Like an old dusty road I get weary from the load Movin' on, movin' on Like this tired troubled earth I've been rollin' since my birth Movin' on, movin' on There's a place in the sun Where there's hope for everyone Where my poor restless heart's gotta run I know there's a place in the sun And before my life is done Gotta find me a place in the sun
  9. Good one! My daughter sent me a text of a post from Saturday Down South saying that Nick Saban announced his retirement at the end of this season. I had just woke up so she had me for a minute or so LOL! That's my honey!
  10. Yeah he is one of those guys who can make these monster acrobatic catches but can sometimes (not consistently) drop an easy one. The thing is, he can take it to the house in a second. I can't recall anyone catching up with him from behind, and he doesn't need to angle into the endzone to escape defenders. Just pure blinding speed.
  11. Maybe. Saban seems to really want him. Right now they have a sophmore who looks good (Jalen Milroe) and a 5 Star Freshman who looks great (Ty Simpson). Simpson reminds me of a bit of a bigger Doug Flutie with a better arm. He isn't as much of a runner as he is a scrambler. He graduated early and came to Tuscaloosa a couple of months ago and is already working out. I can't think of any possible way that Bryce Young will be back in 2023 so it will be interesting.
  12. And now A quarter of my life is almost past I think I've come to see myself at last And I see that the time spent confused Was the time that I spent without you And I feel myself in bloom So, darling, be home soon I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdled My darling, be home soon It's not just these few hours, but I've been waiting since I toddled For the great relief of having you to talk to
  13. Yep. This would be a great way for the Bills to alienate a great QB.
  14. I get and respect your point. My response is twofold: 1) As I said, this draft sucks as compared to almost every draft I have ever seen. Of course, this is jmo. 2) What happens if we mortgage the future for a player who gets hurt or busts out? Where does that leave us? We really got screwed when Whaley gave away the store for Watkins. Again, I hope that we are above this Whaley type of undisciplined stupidity. PS: I would be thrilled if we traded down.
  15. I really hope that the Bills do NOT trade their first round pick in 2023. This draft sucks. It is the worst that I have seen in many years. I cannot imagine the 2023 draft not being better than this one. Trading away picks from 2023 would be a move that would be reminiscent to the Whaley type of lack of discipline and sheer incompetence. I'm hoping that we are finally above this.
  16. He seems to. He must be a really nice guy because as the Jets coach he stood on the sideline with a weird smile for the entire game.
  17. Maybe we can even trade away the 2923 first round pick and draft another corner!
  18. It is very early but it does appear that the Stockholm Syndrome will be the winner of this poll. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22387-stockholm-syndrome
  19. I just want to say that I selected Burks becaause I saw him play in a couple of games and he was great at going up and getting the football, even in tight coverage. Not that fast but he gets open and is VERY strong. I know that most of you peeps think that Mac Jones sucks. I for one do not. Who was a better rookie last season? Lawrence (who I predict will be a superstar)? Justin (aka Sidney) Fields? Please. Unlike Jameson Williams (due to injury), Burks would provide immediate help to Mac. In real life, I want to see him in a Bills uniform helping out Josh!!! Jmo.
  20. Thanks, was out at dinner lol.
  21. The Patriots select Treylon Burks- WR - Arkansas. Explanation to follow in an hour or so.
  22. Kind of a drag When your baby don't love you Kind of a drag When you know she's been untrue Oh oh, listen to what I've gotta to say Girl, I still love you I'll always love you Anyway, anyway, anyway
  23. Did you mean the 19th pick?
  24. If you leave me now You'll take away the biggest part of me Ooh-ooh, no, baby please don't go And if you leave me now You'll take away the very heart of me Ooh-ooh, no, baby please don't go Ooh-ooh, girl, I just want you to stay
