  1. Went to the game last night and bought a couple of tickets for $70 which from what I was told, was half price. Upon entering, I was told that there were still 10, 000 seats available. There was a post about how they were going to make it feel like a Saints home game and decorating the stadium in Saints banners, well, there were no Saints banners other than ones about how you can donate money. Replays on the Jumbo-tron were only of Giants making plays, nothing with the Saints and for as bad as our seats were and our distance from the action on the field, replays would have supplemented our MNF experience. Definitely was longing for the Ralph last night. You guys complain about JP, Eli Manning is just awful. Overthrows and underthrows, throwing behind recievers.
  2. More TV than I watch in an entire year.
  3. I voted Dolphins because I think that the Dolfellons have no chance of making it to the [layoffs in the long run--the Jets on the other hand, I would be worried about them hurting our chances later in the season but this would give the Jets a divisional loss and would seriously hurt their chances down the road (as we experienced last year) and I feel Germ Edwards will implode under NY based media scrutiny from various outlets and he will get canned after they have a 7-9 season (but we'll save that for another thread). Go Fins, hope Jests falter early and the Fins falter later.
  4. I see the Bills D dominating in this forcing Griese to throw 2 ints but Losman will struggle, only separating late in the game with WM busting out big gains and RL being 3/4 in FG's propelling us to a 16-6 win in the Big Sombrero. WM goes for 90 yds and a TD--Losman goes 13-20 156 yds, a fumble and a pick leading to both TB FGs. Our D surrenders 210 total yds with 40 coming from the run. Cadillac will be shutdown and won't be the leading rusher and Griese will be 18-40 for 170 yds, 2 picks, a fumble and he will be sacked 4 times. Our D separates from the rest of the league by comparison but our O will be questioned because of our failure to get in the endzone while in the redzone. My reply is, who cares about the endzone as long as you score more points than the other team?
  5. He was probably coming from YBOR city.
  6. We are tied in the NFL for most Takeaways with TB as well. THere's a complete wash right there.
  7. Piece of advice for Lindel--Get it while the getting is good, because soon, these beautiful late summer days are going ot take a turn for the worse and it is going to get ugly. Do you think anybody is congratulating him in the locker room?
  8. I love the Bills chances against Atlanta b/c it seems that Ron Mexico is capable of blowing a game by trying to make that big play. He accounted for 3 turnovers himself last night and I think Philly wasn't the same after the pregame fight and after McNabb took that shot on his interception. Philly is def. the better team and should have won if circumstances prevailed. I see Mexico being harassed all game long and having a dismal outing--I just hope the Bills can take advantage of these oppoutunities and score some points agianst their D which is pretty stout. Should be a great game and thank God it is in our backyard.
  9. Suing over the fact that they got taken is just a little bit too much for me. Admit the fact that you got played and move on with your lives. THey are only suing for $$$ because he makes a pretty decent penny.
  10. A lot of people say that JJ Arrington is going to end up being ROY. Different uniforms, same Cardinals.
  11. Remember a couple of years ago when he shattered his ankle and still managed to play a few more quarters and be extremely effective? McNabb is a tough turtle to drown but that hit was pretty viscious.
  12. I really don't think that a play action pass deep will be a great way to start Losman off with--we are going to be a ball control offense and I think that if it is a playaction pass, it will be a manageable one to Campbell for about 5 yards and then a run to WM setting up a 3rd and short for a manageable conversion. I think with all these nerves that he is going to be dealing with in his first start, throwback unis, home opener, it could be devastating to throw deep first play of the year.
  13. Cant wait--30$ all you can drink/eat wings?!
  14. the wombat the boston market the old dirty sanchez the welded children the old dog in the tub trick the flaming amazon the jelly donut
  15. Is McFadden's on 42nd and 2nd? My buddies and I were going to go to Off the Wagon down in the East Village but my buddy heard about this place via the Bills Backers web site and was curious if McFadden's is the one it mentioned.
  16. Getting raped at the pump here in Westchester county--paying $3.39/gallon.
  17. CNN reporter just sid that the outer roof membrane is shredded and hanging over the outside of the structure. Wonder where the Saints are going to be playing their games this year.
  18. Saw a special on body modification on the Discovery Channel and they showed this procedure being performed on an individual. Not only did he bleed like a stuck pig, but they did a follow up on the guy and his tongue completely re-healed and he said that he was going to get it done again. Personally, I wouldn't do it but I really don't care what other people do to their own bodies.
  19. I totally dig Coheed--I was walking in NYC a couple of weeks ago on 14th street near Union Square and I noticed the lead singer and had a little conversation with him--really weird guy. I am not surprised that no one on this board is appealed by them though.
  20. I think Reed remains on the team--he adds quality depth and he has already shown he is capable of producing at the reciever pos.
  21. I am from Saratoga originally (currently reside in Manhattan) and would love to return for the meet and bet on the ponies. I am making the trek back this weekend for the Tom Petty/Black Crowes show and will unfortunately be unable to attend. I've been to numerous other race tracks including Pimlico in Baltimore (phenominal party ion the infield) and to Belmont in NYC for the Stakes (where you couldn't even bring in your own alcohol, WTF) and neither of them can hold a candle to the Spa. IMO, it is the greatest city in NY--it has everything for erverybody. Nightlife, a beautiful lake, history and is only a 3 hour drive to NYC, Bos. Syracuse, and Montreal and its strategically located in the base of the Adirondack mtns. Home is definitely where the heart is.
  22. Tell me if you notice a little resemblance. The Misfits
  23. Here's a couple: I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy. I've never met a wise man if so it's a woman.
  24. My favorite movie remake of all time has gotta be Scarface (surprised this wasn't listed already). It was inspired by the 1932 film by the same name that was inspired by Al Capone. My favorite remake of a song is WHere Did You Sleep Last Night by Nirvana off of their Unplugged Album. Completely paranoid version and slower in tempo makes it much more emotional.
