  1. I call him the Mad Professor. He never looks overemotional. Some coaches wear their heart on their sleeves and their body language is very telling to not only a fanbase, but to the players themselves. Kudos tot he job that he has done this year with this merry band of misfits.
  2. I agree with this prediction. I think we see him used in ways we have yet to see.
  3. I heard an interesting stat today on Philly radio. Andy Reid is 12-0 after the BYE week in his coaching career. To me, that is pretty amazing.
  4. I work in radio advertising (WPHT 1210 AM, the radio home of the Philadelphia Phillies) and we recently (as of January this year) got rid of Sean hannity and Glenn Beck to hire more local hosts to provide more local programming. Radio is not dead or a dying medium, especially in talk radio formats. In addition, radio advertising dollars aren't just spent on radio anymore. Radio stations have an online presence (both website and social media), which advertisers pay to be a part of.
  5. I just got a text message that the game is no longer going to be televised on Comcast/FiOS here in Philadelphia. Friends of mine checked their TV cable guide(flipping through ahead to Sunday's listing of programs).
  6. I like Cassel this week. He has thrown 7 TDs to just 1 INT his last 2 games and he is going up against an OAK team that has given up more than 268 YPG this year and 10 TDs, including 2 to Colt McCoy last week.
  7. Can you at least agree with me that the TE position has been a position that has been ignored for too long and that even though Scott Chandler is serviceable, we could use a stud there to create some mismatches in the middle of the field, which would play to Fitz's strength? I think the injuries that we have had on offense shows how we lack depth on that side of the ball. We definitely have more depth on D. I wish the same could be said for the O. O-Line and WR have been depleted and there are guys on the WR corp who I'm not sure will be back next year. Guys like Parrish, Easley, and (God forbid) Stevie Johnson. We will have to address this position in the offseason regardless.
  8. I hope if they resign Fitz, they go our of their way to get him some weapons. I mean, I love Stevie and Freddie, but how about some more help at the WR and specifically, drafing/signing a TE that is a prototypical TE that can stretch the field. We have focused on the defensive side of the ball over the last couple of drafts. I think it would be ideal if we can work on the offensive side of the ball now and really build an offense that Gailey can take to the next level.
  9. If the deal if for 4 years or less, I would be happy. I would be more happy with a 3 year deal to tell you the truth. Is Fitz a system QB and a product of what Chan Gailey can do? I think so. What if Gailey gets fired or resigns in the next 2 years. Would Fitz be just as good in a new coach's system as he would be in Gailey's system?
  10. Went there for the first time this year to do some surfing with my roommates, one of whose family owns a house there. It was after Labor Day so it wasn't that packed, but it was beautiful. Will definitely be back.
  11. Just bought 3. Plan on making my own Bruce Smith "Human Centipede" and putting it in the kitchen. Go Bills!!
  12. What's your team like? Are there any guys you are looking to trade to make your team stronger, or are you just going to ride it out hoping that your top scoring team starts running into teams that aren't having their best weeks?
  13. Standard scoring league non-ppr. Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, RB/TE/WR Even though I have the highest scoring team in the league, my team is only 2-4. With Felix Jones going down, I really needed to upgrade my RB2 position, so I dealt from a position of strength (WR and TE) and targeted the top RBs in the league. I came across an owner who had two really good RBs (Forte and Ray Rice) but was week at WR and TE. Perfect trade for both teams, but I feel as though I now have a complete team. My team: QB: Rivers, Bradford RB: McFadden, James Starks, Felix Jones WR: Calvin Johnson, Steve Smith (South), Brandon Marshall, MWTB, Greg Little TE: Jimmy Graham, Aaron Hernandez I traded: Calvin Johnson James Starks Aaron Hernandez for Ray Rice Roddy White Scott Chandler I'm stoked about having two of the top 5 RBs and still having a pretty good WR corp. Just a LAMP post.
  14. I read that Carson was going to start this Sunday. If you decide to go in a different direction, I would go with Colt McCoy. Seattle has given up 268 yards on average passing this year, and Marcus Trufant is out for the season.
  15. Bryant Gumble is whiter than most white people I know.
  16. For the record, the Cowboys didn't run the ball once when it was 1st and Goal. Here is the play-by-play: 1st and 10 at NE 10 T.Romo pass short left to M.Bennett to NE 5 for 5 yards (A.Carter, J.Ihedigbo). DAL-B.Nagy was injured during the play. 2nd and 5 at NE 5 (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete short left to T.Choice. 3rd and 5 at NE 5 (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short middle to T.Choice to NE 8 for -3 yards (B.Spikes). shovel pass Three passes. All of which were high percentage. They may have been cute, but they were high percentage.
  17. I would say the odds are lower than that considering the only two times he attempted that throw yesterday, it got picked off. It wasn't a high percentage throw. A high percentage throw would be a designed roll out with the option of Fitz hitting an underneath receiver, running with the ball, or throwing it away.
  18. I had a mustache bet with a co-worker for the Eagles game. He had been raggin on me about how the Eagles would destroy the Bills and this and that. Bills win and I come into work and he was clean shaven. I was piss*d too. Sorry losers can't even honor a bet.
  19. This is all assuming the Bills don't get a 1st down. I don't mind a pass play under these circumstance, but it needs to be a high percentage pass play that once completed, will keep the clock running. It was a poor play call because of how perfect a pass Fitz would've had to have thrown. Even if he overthrows it, the clock still stops. This
  20. In the 4th quarter, the clock is the Giants' foe. If you are going to call a pass play, make sure you call a high percentage pass play that once completed, will allow the clock to continue to run. Not a pass down the sidelines where even if completed, SJ is up against the sidelines where if he steps out, the clock stops. Even with the way that you say it, Fitz would've had to make a perfect pass to complete it. If he throws it high and it is incomplete, the clock stops, which again, is exactly what the Giants would've loved to have seen because they wouldn't have had to use one of their 2 remaining TOs. Wrong play call no matter how you slice it.
  21. Let the play clock tick down to one second, average play is :5 seconds and if you use the entire play clock, that would be about :45 seconds for each play. Say the Giants use a TO on both first and second down. Bills would run their 3rd down play with just under 4 minutes remaining. 45 seconds off the clock later and they are kicking the FG with about 3 minutes left on the clock. The Giants then only have the 2 minute warning to stop the clock. This is assuming the Giants use their last 2 TOs during this time. I think the Giants would probably save the TOs based on what the Bills did with their first play after the David Nelson 1st down.
  22. I think he has to be pressed into service considering the state of our WR corp. I like they are getting him the ball more, but I would've liked to have seen him run the ball on a reverse. They were setting it up out of the pistol O with him motioning and faking the reverse. It was set up nicely because that formation was producing large chunks of yardage.
  23. I mentioned that the worst case scenario would be the Bills running the ball 3 straight times and kicking a 37 yard FG with 2 minutes remaining. The Giants would still have 2 TOs, but the Bills would've had the lead. Don't get me wrong...it would've been great had Fitz connected. But it was the wrong play call.
  24. I was calling for the run as soon as David Nelson caught that pass and got us into field goal position. I like Gailey and his aggressive nature, however, there are times when I think he deserts the run. It cost them at least 6 points yesterday with the end of the 1st half debacle that saw 3 straight pass plays result in a 2 sacks and put us out of field position. I don't care if you guys think it is a great play call because he is going for the jugular. Yeah it would've been great if Fitzy hadn't thrown another terrible pass and was able to connect with Johnson. But, it was the wrong play call. The Bills were averaging 6.7 YPC at that point and they would've forced the Giants to take their last two timeouts. Worst case scenario are 3 runs and you don't get the 1st down, and Lindell kicks the go-ahead FG with 2 minutes remaining. Best case scenario is, and IMO very realistic, Freddie gets another 1st down and the Bills are able to run the clock down to the 3 seconds and Lindell kicks the FG with no time remianing.
  25. Stevie Johnson is on pace for 90 catches, 1100 yards, and nearly 10 TDs. Pay the man.
