I'm wondering the same thing. He would be a good acquisition, IMO, but the next time he fails a drug test, that is a year suspension. Besides, if he does get the ax, I don't think he would be obtained by our high character FO.

Washington just giving away more draft picks. A 3rd and a 4th?!?! They weren't supposed to pick until the 3rd or 4th round this year until they spent draft picks for a later draft to move up. Sounds like they are doing all they can to get to the promised land now rather than later, and they feel that this year may be the best chance they got because Brunell is quickly becoming not-the-answer at QB, and Jason Campbell is too wet behind the ears.

I just got done watching the first half as well, and the one thing that I noticed was that Denney was a monster. On one play, when Cin. was down on their own goaline, Denney crushed both RB and FB to get to the QB and bat down the pass. I am also worried about our lack of a pass rush at times. There were times that we generated pressure, and it showed, but it wasn't consistent enough. Our run defense was superb. Our offense can be "chunktastic" at times, and that was obvious. Our OL played a lot better, opening holes for both WM and AT and providing enough time for JP to make some reads and get off some great throws. He did make some mistakes toward the end of the half, but I think play calling will be a little different in the regular season when WM is on the field the majority of the time. The coaching staff did provide some good playcalling i.e. the TD pass to LE. They went right after the aggressive play of Keiwan Ratliff after he picked JP off for the TD earlier. Overall I was impressed with the capability of our offense and our D played well as well. We just have to eliminate the turnovers and I think our ST and D will keep us in the majority of the games that we play.

IIRC, The Dolfelons wanted him in a trade before we did. This means that Liam Ezekiel will be 2nd team to LFB. I haven't seen much from Ezikiel, but I know the guy is a lunatic, which is good for the MLB position.

I'm pretty worried about our OL depth this year, especially at the Tackle positions. I wonder if the FO will be active once cutdowns start taking effect one week from today, and try to bolster this OL.

Even though PP doesn't have EM, who was a big physical #1 who was often double teamed, PP, along with our slot guys, should benefit with LE being double teamed this year as well. Chunkability.

Preston takes snaps at Center Duke and Geisenger seitched spots yesterday at practice. Preston, apparently, is going to be the versatile OL this year, subbing in at G and C if needed, and hopefully Geisinger will be able to contribute the same.

I agree that I think that it is a decent move for a servicable veteran RB in this league. I had a conversation with a Jet fan about it and they didn't seem to agree with me and thought that the move was horrible. He wants Blaylock and Washington to get a chance. Jets fans are retarded.

I agree--I think our best option at this point would be to have JR play the #3, maybe #2 in certain run situations because he is our best blocking WR. PP will be #2 and maybe he will be able to benefit from the additional attention that LE will be recieving as a result of being our best WR. JR already proved that he isn't a #2, but he can be a solid slot reciever and I presume he will share that role with Roscoe.

That's the talk of a humbled WR.

Connecting the future with the past I know that this might not seem like much, but I sure as hell hope JP doesn't chew with his mouth open. Seriously though, I believe Jimbo has faith that JP can be the starter for this team and he really wants to see the kid, and the team, do well. Here is hoping that JP picks his brain, and gets some great insight from the greatest QB in our team's history. Hopefully Jimbo isn't wearing red shorts.
