I am a little more concerned about the portrayal of a young girl posing "seductively" as opposed to a fake tatoo on her back. I am concerned because of potential pedophiles garnering a little too much satisfaction from this (i.e. JonBenet Ramsey).

It's 5am and my alarm just went off..

Just got up. Time to shower and then head off to McFadden's to wait in line so I can get a table. Wish I was at the game, but McFadden's is the next best thing. -
Who else will join me?

You my friend, are a true fan. -
Even though Greg Jennings has been the target of a number of Favre throws, so hasn't Toomer. He was targeted 12 times last weeke and you know what, he caught every single one. Even though he is going up against a tough D in SEA, I still think you start Toomer, but Jennings is an interesting option as a dark horse.

My RBs were: LT, Ronnie Brown, Gore, Chester Taylor, Fred Taylor My WRs were: Holt, Driver, Roy Williams, Evans, Kennison I was lacking serious production from my WR core, so I traded my #5 RB for a potential STUD WR. I think Bryant is going to have a huge year because I see SF playing from behind alot this year, and other than Gore out of the backfield and Vernon Davis, Alex Smith doesn't have anyone else to throw to. Plus they play in a weak division. Do you guys think this was a good trade?

I have to agree with BuffOrange...The Texans are facing the WASH D which is missing its top CB and they have been victimized by Troy Williamson and the Cowgirls.

Definitely Vick--ATL D is so much better than NO D. I also would have to go R. Brown only because he is getting looks in the red zone and he is going to have McNabb throwing to him in a shootout kind of a game.

Question for Jets fans trolling this board:
Phlegm Alley replied to pdh1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also find that Jets fans are more likely to root for the Mets while Giants fans have a tendency to root for the Yankees. Does anyone else notice this trend? -
Looking at our schedule again after two weeks
Phlegm Alley replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On any given Sunday, any team can beat any team. Any team can also beat itself by making mistakes and turning the ball over. With that said, I will reserve any judgment about what our record is going look like come the beginning of January. However, I do feel optimistic that if our Defense maintains its high level of play, we will be in alot of games until the final whistle blows, which means we have a chance at winning ALL of our games. Even the ones that appear to be tough Edited for grammar. -
Seriously though, I think it will be a tough game for the Bills. It will be a fight, but in the end, Bills prevail 42-3.

John Clayton = Genius?
Phlegm Alley replied to GhostsOfTheRockpile's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What the H3LL is a John Clayton??? -
I think I would do it. Tiki has been a consistent FF performer the last few years and WRs, even of CJ's ability, are inconsistent point producers. I would do it because a quality RB is much more valuable than a stud WR.
-
I would go with Maroney. I think that Dillon suffered some kind of injury late in the 4th during the Jets game and I think that Maroney will be seeing a lot of playing time on the field. He is only a rookie, but I think he has been the least heralded of the rookie RBs from this years draft class. Bush may be a good selection, but they are playing a swarming ATL D.

Since when is Chris V. black -
LT is on a bye this week and I need to figure who I will put in his place. The problem is that I have a stable full of horses who have difficult matchups. My RBs are: Ronnie Brown (obvious start against an anemic Tenn. D at home), Frank Gore at home vs. PHI, Chester Taylor at home vs. CHI, and Fred Taylor @ IND. Part of me wants to start Gore becuase of how well he has done this year. But he is going up against a PHI D that held Tiki in check this past week. Chester Taylor is another intriguing option seeing as how Ahman Green had a stellar week 1 against the CHI D as he rushed for 110 yards on 20 carries. The Vikes play at home, it is a huge divisional game, and he is starting to run well behind that massive left side of the OL. Fred Taylor plays # Jax but has had a lot of success against the Colts D and Corey Simon is not playing this week. Who would you guys start and why??

Who on this franchise would do this?
Phlegm Alley replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be surprise if it was Liam Ezekiel. I mean, the guy destroyed his kicker for missing a FG. He seems like the kinda guy who would do something like that. -
Yes, now I remember that play--it would have been a tough catch, but Evans should have come down with that. Thanks for the reminder
-
The pass that went off Evans' fingertips resulted in a TD, but I agree, we left points on the field and didn't make the most of every opportunity. IIRC, the blocked punt should have resulted in a TD and on the Dolphags first series, C-Pepp fumbled and Triplett had a chance at recovering the ball inside MIA 10 yard line, but he failed to do so miserably. I do think that 6-7 point spread is a bit excessive, but I think that's predicated with the notion that our offense will be able to get into the endzone this weekend, more than once.

I'd definitely go with Andre Johnson and Coles. Johnson is having a breakout year and Lav Coles is showing he is good with the YAC.

Okay....Enough about Miami....On to the Jets
Phlegm Alley replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My biggest concern is definitely Pennington. He has the ability to take what the defense is giving him and methodically pick the defense apart by converting manageable 3rd down situations. Out keys this week are to improve our rush defense--MIA ran Ronnie Brown only twice in the second half last week and if they didn't abandon the run, they may have been more successful. Just because the Jets are only averaging 2.8 yards a carry doesn't mean that we are automatically going to stop them with our putrid run defense. Second, I believe that we have to defense the short crossing routes and the defend the flats. We have a good secondary but CP is good at checking down and not making mistakes, so I don't think that we'll see him trying to thread the needle on any intermiediate to deep passing plays, because he doesn't have an arm. Anyone watching them play the Pats last week would have seen CP throw a Hail Mary to end the game that went about 45 yards TOPS. On our side of the ball, we need to maintain what we have been doing in the first half of ball games. McGahee has been getting great stats during the first half and has slipped a little in the second half. I don't know if this is a result of opponents adjustments at halftime or our guys are not staying focused or becoming fatigued, but we have been unable to rund the ball efficiently in the second half. Next, once we establish the run, I think we should utilize more play action passes and misdirections to keep the Jets D off-balanced. When are we going to see a PA rollout pass to the TE??? Our TEs need to become more involved in the offense to take some pressure off of JP. Another way to take some pressure off of JP is to throw some high percentage passes like we were last week in the second half. His stats at the half were 1/8 for 14 yds. After the half: 7/10 for 70 yds and a TD. By high percentage I mean screen passes to the RBs and bubble screens to our WRs who are good at making defenders miss. Of course we need to play good ST and not allow Cotchery to get into the open space. Remember Jets teams have beaten us with their ST (opening day 2 years ago). We also have to protect the football. We are one of only 2 teams without a TO yet and the Jets are +3 in TO margin. I wouldn't mind seeing a similar game plan as last week: run the ball, take our chances downfield once in a while, throw high percentage passes, and defend the short to medium range passes where Pennington has had most of his success this year. Final score: Bills 20 Jets 7 -
IMHO, I think that blocked punt should have been returned for a TD by Davis. It had some weird spin on it, but Andre lifted his head up as he was trying to pick the ball up, to see if there were any defenders around him. I was a little frustrated that we had two balls on the ground that didn't go the way they should have. First of all you have the blocked punt that should have went for a TD. Then, on the first Dolphins possesion of the game, C-Pepp fumbled and Triplett had a chance to fall on the ball, but he didn't react early enough and attempted to fall on the ball only after a MIA player (Vernon Carry) came from behind him to make an attempt at getting the ball. Carry wanted the ball more and he got it. That fumble recovery early in the game was similar to how the game started against NE, and it would have put the Bills in position to come out of there with at least a FG, an early lead on the road, and momentum. There were at least 7 points that we left on the field. A good football team would not have left those points on the field. We need to earn our respect and after 2 games and 2 good outings, we are not yet a good football team, but we have earned the respect of our fans, ourselves, opponents, and some of the media. We have to remain consistent in order to be considered good.

I had the #3 pick and picked up LT...I would have picked him at #1 so I already felt like I got a steal at the #3 pick.
