  1. He also has us taking Brandon Siler, MLB UF, in the 2nd and then Michael Bush in the 3rd.
  2. Mark's Texas Hots on Monroe St. in Rochester...better Plates than Tahoe's IMHO. Seriously though, La Mela's in Little Italy here in NYC is a great "family style" restaurant. They have a great ambience and its right next to SoHo so you see a ton of beautiful women walking around.
  3. Wilson from Cast Away with Tom Hanks. He should of gotten a supporting actor nod or at least got listed as an acredited actor for the movie.
  4. About 10 years ago, my Grandfather once took my father and I out for some boozing amongst the men in the family during the holiday season around the greater Batavia region. I was a young chap, still wet behind the ears at the ripe old age of 18 years old and I think my grandfather thought that the drinking age was still 18. Either that or he just didn't care and wanted to take his grandson out to his favorite watering holes, the ones that he was genuinely proud of being a part of. Of course we hit up the VFW, the Eagles, The Elks, Polish Falcons, etc., drinking $1 Heinekens and eating $2.00 turkey dinners when we were supposed to be out "looking" for a Christmas tree. We ended up at this bar called "The Skunkhole" and I thought it was the most brilliant name for a bar and it contained toothless women smoking Mistys while drinking a mug of Genny Cream Ale. Good times at good times. Could any of you current WNY'ers corroborate the existence of this beautiful haven of alcohol abuse? If it is still there, I would love to make a pilgrimmage up there to pay homage to my late Grandfather.
  5. Another good one that I forgot about (even though I've never been there is Big Dick's Halfway Inn.
  6. ...best one I've ever seen was called "He's Not Here" in Chapel Hill, NC. Another good one (if you love dive bars) was called "The Bad and Dirty" in my hometown in upstate NY. Believe me, it truly lived up to its name. My question for fellow TBDers is, have you come across any amusing bar names and where are they located?
  7. I saw something on Sportscenter about Edwards and how he is allergic to grass.
  8. Moorman didn't seem to care. He actually congratulated the guy afterwards in a great show of sportsmanship. Not too many punters (or other position players) would have been able to take a shot like that and pat them on the back afterwards. But it is football, and the Pro Bowl is for the fans.
  9. I think showering is way overrated, but I usually take one at night after I get back from the gym. Sleep does go a long way and the extra 20 minutes I get is well worth taking a shower before I go to bed.
  10. Gives new meaning to the phrase "til death do us part". Good for Sherman.
  11. I have to disagree with Adrian Peterson. I think he will have a few good years, however the injuries will catch up to him and he will fizzle out. He has a good attitude and he just wants to win games. He had to share the load this past year and he was really unselfish about the situation. I nominate Brady Quinn and Ted Ginn Jr. Brady Quinn padded stats against bad competition and was a product of not only the pro system, but was a benefactor of having pretty good receivers in Smardzadfjbgiarbb and McKnight. Ted Ginn Jr. to me is a glorified punt returner with good straight line speed. I think he will be the next Desmond Howard: good special teamer with little influence on offense.
  12. Smell my claw.
  13. I've gathered that...But why crackers? Would you kick her out of your bed if she was eating a garbage plate? That is the question.
  14. As an old colleague would say, "I wouldn't kick her out of my bed for eating crackers". Whatever the !@#$ that means.
  15. I think its because of what he did during the Rose Bowl against MICH when he was going into the endzone and he pointed at the defender as he was crossing the goal line and for his continued celebration on the sideline. I LOVE Jarret and if our run D wasn't so porous, I would be all for drafting him. He reminds me a lot of Roy WIlliams in DET, plus he has proven that he can find the EZ...41 TDs in 3 years. Yikes.
  16. I do a little bit of gardening...usually inside. A little purple haze, a little northern lights #12, maybe a some mauwie wauwie.
  17. Probably because recruits see how Mr. Reggie Bush and his family had been treated monetarily by USC.
  18. Whatever happened to looking both ways before you cross?
  19. I do about 5 sets of 15 of those a day. That is how I maintain my virility
  20. I love the characteristicly unbridled optimism that you bring to this board, and I have to concur with you OTOH, Irvin is a space cadet. Listening to him call in on the Dan Patrick radio show resulted in the dispossesion of brain cells. He makes causual observations laced with the foggy ineptness of a post day drug binge (ie insinuating Tony Romo has "black" in him because of his athletic ability). How does he not get fired for saying something like that when Steve Lyons (announcer for FOX MLB) gets fired for saying something about Lou Pinella stealing his wallet?
  21. I'm all in...your blouse
  22. He looks like Drew Brees. Good for Miami...they haven't had a real QB since Gino Torretta.
  23. I'm sure anyone could play PG for Texas and average 8-9 assists a game, but they showed a stat last night that said that Augustine RARELY turns the ball over. I'm not sure what the stat was...it was something like in his career in Big 12 games...I don't know. Anyways, that is the THE most important stat for a PG with assists secondary.
  24. This should make the game pretty exciting. I can't remember the last time I've seen a SB with some kind of inclement weather.
  25. I don't watch that much college hoop, but when I do, it always seems to be either Texas, Ohio State, UNC, or Duke. I have watched a lot of Texas basketball this year and this Texas team reminds me a lot of the Syracuse National Championship team. Durant is a super frosh (ala Anthony), they have an even better point guard in BJ Augustine and they have a scrappy white boy (every national championship team needs a scrappy white boy). I love watching Durant, however, I think he could get his teammates involved a little bit more. He made some great shots and his shooting percentage was impressive considering he shoots from the outside as well, but it could have been better if he didn't force a couple up there.
